50$ for a basic pedicure and it looks like I did it myself at home? No thank you. The cleanliness level of the facility, the tools and the overall practice is VERY questionable. Want even asked if I liked them or I would've addressed my concerns of the shape being bad and the polish looking unprofessional. She just left and took on another client. She didn't even cash me out, someone else did. Lower your prices for what you're offering! read more

DK Nails & Spa - Just left the salon. It looks like I did them myself! Not a professional. - Massage Near Me - Edwardsville, Illinois

They said my clear nail polish was gel... it wasn't and they basically just buffed my nails down to nothing. The light part towards the cuticles is my nail finally growing back. I'm really disappointed I liked this place a lot my first visit. The vibes were really off that day they seemed like they didn't want costumers? They did a lot of pointing at the "gel nails" and discussing it amongst each other; they also tisked at me when the paint came off my toes because the lady painted over wax. They blobbed some close enough colored paint over it and sent me on the way. Not the best experience & I'm not sure what was going on they seemed very nice and professional before. :( Wishing better luck to you if you go! read more

I'm usually nervous when I go in for a pedicure and manicure. It's something I usually have to save up for a few months in order to get. My experience yesterday was 100% worth it. I was seated right away for my pedicure and had the most wonderful technician. She was kind and very friendly. I think her name was Lena. She did an amazing job! My nails have never looked better! The location was very busy, but it still had people moving in and out of it quickly. It was clean and relaxing, and the massage chairs were incredible. As part of my package I was offered a drink, and they did upsell me to gel polish for my toes. I'm not mad about it because it makes sense being as I go barefoot a lot.  Next time I save up enough for another mani-pedi I will be back. read more

The service requested was a dip on my natural nails with no filing and no Mani next thing I know she's filing my nails Square making them very short I asked her again not to file my nails, got a horrible look from her!!! the turnout of my dip nails were okay but super thick and not realistic looking I felt like she was very hurried and rude to me in the process I would not recommend anyone going here read more

This was my first time here. I walked in and Kim did my nails very quickly and very well. I got a full set gel black tips for Halloween. I was in and out in 30 minutes. It was more expensive then I thought ($50) but it has been a while since I've had my nails done. The only thing that was wrong was the black gel polish wasn't on thick enough, so you can see thru it on a few of the nails You can only notice it when you look at the nails really close. Otherwise they were perfect! Thank you Kim. read more

tried out DK again because I needed my nails done last minute. Probably shouldn't have considering they gave me an infection the previous time but I was desperate to get in before a vacation. They did them, rushed, but they looked great! By the next day the polish was melting off my nails but I was on a flight for a trip the next two weeks. After calling them they said just to take pictures and show them the next time I came in. When I went in a couple days ago, showed them the pictures, they just laughed and charged me full price for gel & a fill. I expected to pay for the fill but not the polish considering it didn't last me the last time. They sent me off with a $10 gift card. Today my nails chipped, one wasn't fully glossed, and I wanted them to fix a super crooked one they did. I was met with rudeness, laughing, and being made fun of. They made me move between people two times because they argued on who was going to deal with me. Safe to say I let someone have my $10 gift card on the way out because I will NEVER be going back. read more

Ok, so where to start with this review? Service: I was greeted promptly and when I showed the design I wanted, I was waiting to be rejected, NOPE!!!! They said, "O that's easy! Yes we can do that!" Nail Removal: so they did not remove my tips/dip like I am accustomed. Instead they cut and I guess pried them off. I was not super thrilled about this process as I was afraid it would hurt. Ethan, the nail tech, did an amazing job. New Nail Process: I was completely blown away at how careful Ethan was at shaping my nails. His ability to draw my design was just on point. Overall: this place is clean, very friendly and I cannot wait to go back for more services. I may just have found my new nail home. read more

They use to be good but now they are terrible. It's as if they have all new people working there that don't have a clue what they are doing. I was there for hours because of it. I showed a picture of the nails I wanted and said I needed my pedicure to be the same color. She starts the pedicure and half way through says I can't have the nails I want. So then instead of enjoying my hard up sale pedicure, I'm frantically trying to find another nail choice so I know what color to do my toes before she finishes. So I just chose plain clear nail polish unfortunately. Now she starts my nails. Dip with chrome. But instead she puts my nails on using the wrong powder and now I can't have those nails either. Instead she just puts a ugly beige polish on them and says do you like it? Hell no I don't like it! I hate it. So they get someone else to fix her mistake and she tells me the only way to get the nails in my picture is to completely pry off every nail that was just put on. Seriously? WOW So I had her repaint them with a different color. I will never go back there again. read more

I rarely get my nails done but I did fully enjoy my latest experience here which was my second at this spa. I got a pedicure and manicure, gel for the toes and gel dip for the fingers. The pedicure was more relaxing and fun experience with the massage chairs as well as so many things that they do with pampering and massaging your legs and feet. The gel dip I got on my fingers was the only thing they did to my hands. I was kinda confused since usually they do lotion or cut off some cuticles but did not. I do think my nails look wonderful. read more

Wonderful experience at DK nails. I am home visiting and I couldn't get in with my regular person where I live and we usually come up with some design or another. When I arrived at DK, I showed them a photo of my nails from a few months ago and they said it was easy and got me right in, no wait (it is always a Monday at 2pm). My service was performed by Bi, a nice young man. Very quick, very thorough, and detail oriented. They didn't have the colors I had before so I went for the evil eye look instead (LOL). DK is very clean, I felt Covid comfortable, and everyone is friendly. I felt the price was fair for gel nails with a little pizazz. Overall??? I recommend them and I am really happy with my nails. Bi did a great job!!!! read more

So, I've been here a few times. The first time I had Amy, and she made my nails look so beautiful. Go Amy. The second two times I went my nails looked so awful. Yes I stood up for myself and asked for them to fix them and I got looked at funny. This time I left MAD as hell because my nails were crooked, all different shapes and sizes. So I had to buy a file and a clear coat to fix them myself. Won't be taking my business here ever again, sadly. read more

I visited this salon based off of reviews and photos. I walked in and sat right down. The employees were friendly and the salon was clean. I regularly get dip on my nails (in Florida) and must say this is the best (and fastest) I've had yet. I have an ombré dip that cost $40. Susan was the tech who did my nails and she was very friendly and kept a great conversation going. Her technique is very good. The photo with a flash on it highlights my dry skin (not a reflection of the work done). I love the nails, they are not too thick and not too thin. Just right. When I visit the area again I will be definitely be back. read more

I think this is the best nail place is Edwardsville. They are so customer friendly, always get you seated right away. Even if they are grumpy, they try to make some conversation with you. The place is always clean and it's pretty inside. Also, this is less pricey than the others ( by a few dollars for most services). I usually get gel nails done and that's what the four stars are for. The pedicures are just meh. I've had my gels chip twice within a few days and they've been nice enough to fix them. They usually do a really good job though. read more

This place has been my favorite for 5 +years. But the past 3 months it has been terrible experience after terrible experience. I kept giving it another shot and today was it. The wait, the inexperienced nail techs, having to go back and get a fix on nails/paint easily peeling off days after a service. I'm done. It's too much money and time to continue. I have always liked Dk nails! I usually just go here for acrylic manicures and normal pedicures. They always have a lot of workers so there is almost never a wait! Or if there is, it's very short! One thing I especially like about DK nails is the cleanliness of the pedicure stations. They have liners on the tubs. I always feel like it is a clean area! The prices here are affordable! My normal pedicures are $22 and the service is phenomenal and very relaxing! DK nails is my favorite nail spa in the area! read more

My daughters had an appt, requesting BASIC manicure and BASIC pedicure. My daughter texted me shortly after appt started, frustrated & confused, that the manicurist began the process of some long drawn out pedicure treatment. I believe that the people working there knew EXACTLY what they were doing in taking advantage of the young girls by sneakily upselling add'l treatments. The process was so long they ended up late to a hair appt (for a high school dance) And left in tears after their total was $250 dollars!? Do not send your teen girls in alone, they will be taken advantage of! read more

Fast, efficient service. My friend and I got basic mani and pedi service. There were great colors to choose from, mostly OPI and China Glaze. After being seated in massage chairs (mine didn't work) our pedis lasted about 20 minutes, then we were moved to rolling chairs for our manicures, which lasted about 10-15 minutes. Overall, the facility appeared clean and they used utensils from sterile, closed packets. It felt rushed and I had to point out unevenly filed nails a couple of times. Also, my nail tech didn't cover my whole nail with polish and even less with the top coat, which is a pet peeve of mine. Would have been five stars if there was more attention to detail when filing and painting my nails. read more

I haven't been here in a while so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say my experience wasn't the best. My daughter and I came in for pedicure and were seated immediately so that's plus. But we were pushed hard for upgrades and then when not accepted my pedicure was rushed and my manicurist unfriendly. I know the prices of everything have gone up but the their prices were high. When I looked at the menu while our nails dried I realized we were supposed to get a complimentary beverage which was never offered. Overall, it just wasn't a great experience and I was really doing this for my daughter so I am bummed it wasn't a greater experience. Needless to say we won't be back and I wish EXO would come back!! read more

Nail technician not follow request. When I pointed it out he refused to fix his mistake and wanted to do the shape and polish to his liking. When I spoke to the person in charge all I got was a "sorry about that" instead of correcting their technicians error. read more

Used to love this place, having been coming here for years. Today, the tech was SOOO RUDE. All I wanted was a fill. She started saying that I needed 3 nails taken off. This was only my 2nd fill, my nails were fine, no lifting, fungus etc. When I said no, she got so hateful. Was hurting me & of course when I said as much, she started speaking in Vietnamese to her co-workers, laughed & kept hurting me. After I walked out, I noticed that the polish on one nail was lumpy and had ridges in it. So I went back in to have it fixed, they told me I had to wait until my tech was done with her current client (approximately 45 minutes)! I would not have minded this except, I've been the "current client" before when they stopped working on me in order to fix something on someone else. So she intentionally was making me wait. This is a service industry where the client should get what they want & not have unnecessary services done in order to increase the bill. Her behavior was unprofessional (not sure they even strive for that) & just ignorant. read more

been going here for years and spend a lot of money every time I come. Who knew that today is the last day I will ever step foot in this place again! I have been treated poorly by the owner whose response--- to me questioning why I would be told a 45 minute wait over the phone to come in and be turned around by another 45 minute wait-- was "we're not going to argue about that right now you can wait or go" POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never ever be back!!! Zero stars read more

This has been my go-to nail salon for several years but the last two pedicures have been sloppy. The nails were trimmed to uneven lengths and polish has been smudged. I normally get the chamomile pedicure and most recently, I walked out feeling as if my legs were covered in oil. I don't know if they've changed products but was very thankful I had a towel in my car. For me, it is time to find a new nail salon. read more

I came to this salon because my regular salon was booked for the day and I won't have time throughout the week for an appointment. I simply wanted a dip manicure removed and replaced with regular nail polish (the dip was done at a different salon). I was promoted to soak the dip polish off in acetone and the nail lady removed the dip powder from my natural nail with an electric drill. My nails were very long and are naturally thick, and had to be completely trimmed down. My nail beds hurt and are red from being filed so thin. I'm not sure if the lady knew what she was doing or not, but DO NOT let them file your natural nail with a buffing drill (here or at any salon!!) I had a polish change on my toes that was pleasant, nothing above average. read more
