I was a walk in this afternoon and was barely greeted when I came into the door. I picked my color and I sat down. No one said a word further to me until after a while I just got up and put my polish back on the wall before someone said oh it'll only be 10 minutes. You should've given me some sort of information when I first walked in the door about your wait time. And the longer I sat there waiting the more I noticed how disgustingly dirty the entire place was. I was so glad I changed my mind and left. read more

Went in for some holiday nails and Van KILLED IT. The nails speak for themselves. Both of us (my friend and I) got exactly what we wanted. Not pictured (for obvious reasons) are my toes that I also got done. I'm posting this about two weeks past the date I got them done and none have broken off or chipped! Still holding strong. Tried this place for the first time the other day, and had the worst pedicure I've ever had. Started out with the tech coming over, I said hello and he didn't say anything. My massage chair wasn't working and I tried to tell him about it but was ignored. The whole thing was very rushed, it lasted maybe 10 minutes. He kept checking his phone and texting during this short 10 minutes. A lot of my nails turned out crooked, and it was a poor paint job. Not happy at all with the experience or the finished product. read more

This was literally the worse manicure I've ever had. I scheduled two children's manicures and one adult dip. My nails are a mess, I asked the guy doing my nails questions about how he was going to do them and him and another lady assured me they would look nice and last a long time. Now I'm rushing to try and find someone to fix them before and event I have. I also checked pricing before booking through their website, they did not honor any of their pricing for children's manicures and told me I must have looked at another salon. I've been coming here since January and today was officially my last time. I showed my nail tech the nails i wanted and even told him "if you can't do this i have other ideas as well." I showed him the other photos and he asked which one i liked the best and i told him the blue. I repeated to him again that if he can not do it then it's okay. The first photo is what i wanted, the second is originally the glitter he put on, which was pink and gold and just overall messy. After telling him i was not happy with the glitter he then just kept going about doing my nails. I then explained to him that i hated the color and that it wouldn't look right with the blue, and to just paint over them so i could leave. This place has never done me wrong however after this experience I'm just done. Not only did he mess up my nails, he also cut my finger and just kept going, letting it bleed. We love this place and have always had a great experience! Unfortunately the wait today was terrible. We made a 5:30 appointment for today on Sunday for two manicures. We arrived at 5:25 to check in... it's now 6:45 and we are still waiting! I know it's homecoming season, but a wait over an hour when we made an appointment seems crazy. This place was amazing! They were very considerate and timely. Very reasonably priced and so many options. They do offer a complementary glass of wine and other options for an additional charge. I have been going here for 3 years now and have yet to have a complaint. I normally have a very pleasant experience here but I was unfortunately disappointed on my last visit with the quality of my manicure and the customer service. The staff was arguing and made me change seats and nails technicians multiple times in the middle of getting my nails done. The nail tech was on his phone and seemed not focused. I asked him to fix one of my nails and he said no, then lazily tried to fix the nail and did not. He was also very rough with my nails and did not do any lotion/massage at the end. I hope this review helps you fix some of the staff issues because I do normally enjoy my experience at tipsy nails. read more

3 of my nails are crooked and lumpy. He painted over my old nail polish and the bottom of my nails is a different color from the top of them. He was super jerky with my hands. He filled my nails with the drill so much that my cuticle is burning. Horrible experience! read more

I had the worst mani pedi experience!!!! The service was CARELESS!! The manicurist didn't even put lotion on my whole my hand. The shape of the nail was crooked with a Gumby-like slope on most nails. When I pointed it out, she appeared to not understand what I was talking about. The French pedicure was also terrible! Half moons with tips leaning into my inner toe nail and white residue left on the sides and bottoms of my toes! CARELESS with NO REGARD for my concerns. I requested that the polish be removed because it was so horrible looking. I was offered a Re-application, but I did not have time, especially for a sloppy Re-do. The manicurist gave her extended version of my concern to the manager and I was, again offered a redo, but again, who has time to waist? I was offered a small discount, I believe 15%, and sent on my way. I will NEVER return. read more

Honestly this is my second time coming here since i moved to IL and this time I was very disappointed with the service. I got a basic pedicure and the guy that did it for me didnt even clean my nails underneath and i told him I had in grown nails and he completely ignored me. He didnt even scrub my feet with the pumice stone he said it was included with the basic which thats a lie. I literally wanted to walk out of there without paying bc he didnt even do a pedicure. Terrible experience tonight! The man who did my nails had no idea what he was doing. It hurt the whole time , i kept telling him to stop that hurts . It was quick ( thank goodness!) torture No massage, just torture i had never had a problem here before. I never relaxed it was terrible. I've been to many nail salons over the years. This was my worst experience. Went on a Wednesday night due to a broken nail and they were the only place open and taking appointments. They argued with me from the moment I walked in, said I didn't have dipped nails when I did, said they couldn't do the design I showed them, said they didn't have the color I chose. All I could do was accept what they offered and when they did the work they were very rough. They seemed very annoyed with me that they were there. But I didn't set their hours or accept the appointment. Bottom line, I will never return. And if you go, good luck! read more

I have been coming to this salon for months now, and every time I have made an appointment in advance... yet soon arriving to the salon my nail tech is always with another client, forcing me to wait 30-40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Todays cost was especially disappointing. while I can understand that things happen, but if I make an appointment at with a certain person there's no reason they should be with someone else when I get there and keep me waiting for 35 minutes. once I finally got to see my tech, he had asked me what I was getting, and when I explained to him what I wanted, he was surprised to hear I wanted a color change and just assumed I was getting a fill. He then had to see someone else to have the color taken off and started working on someone else's nails. He ended up just taking off her color and then sending her over to her pedicure, but I was still upset with the situation. He then started on my nails and told me no to multiple things that I told him I wanted done. I asked for pink hearts for valentines days in two of my nails, he just did what you wanted with the hearts. he finished the manicure and sen me over to have my pedicure, while looking at the hearts he did I decided I didn't like them and asked for them to be fixed. As new tech was sent over to fix them, and instead of starting new she just drew over the pink with red and called it good. also on my nails I asked for chrome, which I have gotten multiple times before, but for whatever reason today was charged an extra $10 for it on my finger nails and $5 for my toenails. So after spending $118 I'm unhappy with my nails and very annoyed with the whole situation. I'm not sure I can keep coming back to this salon to keep being disrespected as a customer. read more

I go here every once in a while to get my nails done and usually it is great! Unfortunately, a few times that I have gone in there is a nail tech (who has done my nails a few times but I can't remember her name) who I've had terrible experiences with. She has hurt me, complained that I wanted a simple design, makes me feel rushed, and the last time I went in there she was filing down my acrylics and did it so hard against my skin that it cut my finger open. Tonight I went in and I had an appointment at 5 and had to wait for 30 minutes to finally sit down, and after the lady said she could take me, I got shuffled around 3 different times and had different people telling me to go to different chairs and ended up in the guys chair who I think runs the place. He was very gentle with the hand file and the electric file which is very important to me since I've had bad experiences before and he was thanking me for waiting and I told him I didn't mind. The color was great and he was very nice... not too talkative but not silent either and made me feel comfortable. One complaint I would have about him was he did not ask me what shape I wanted and just gave me square. I didn't say anything because I was already in there for an hour and was ready to go home. I filed my nails a little rounder when I got home and they look great. Overall, try to get one of the guys to do your nails... I've never had a bad experience with any of the men. read more

Well, bummer. I really wanted to like this place, but I just didn't. At all. It's lovely inside, and they play music at a nice level where you can read or just snooze during a pedicure. Unfortunately I found the pedicure massage chairs really uncomfortable. I asked for their spa pedicure, and the tech asked me several times if I wanted to upgrade my services (no thank you!). I was told to pick a color and told them I wanted to do French nails, but all I got was white tips with one swipe of clear coat!! Other places I've gone to will use a base coat, the white for the tips, a soft pink or barely blush color and then 2 coats of topcoat. Sadly, the pedicure I got for $32 +tip wasn't any better than I could give myself at home - and as soon as I get home I'll be redoing my pedicure as it should be! Bummer. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. I went in on Tuesday, 8/17/21, to get my nails done for my family's vacation. I got a gel manicure and pedicure and spent $87 for it. It is now Saturday, 8/21/21 and 3 of my gel nails have fallen off, not even a week after getting them done. Unfortunately, I do not remember the man's name. Not to mention during the pedicure they were pushy about getting me to buy the more expensive pedicure and also left me in tears during the ingrown toenail removal. After that my toe has been swollen, red, and very tender which has not been fun to deal with during vacation. I have never had any other nail salon be so rough or pushy with my choices while getting my nails done. Will not be going back. read more

This salon is AMAZING. The space is beautifully decorated. The staff is amazing and so nice. We had four people and they were quickly able to get us in for pedicures on a Saturday. The services were all excellent, everyone was very professional, and it was all for a great price! They have plenty of space for large parties for birthdays or bachelorette parties. This will definitely be my new place - definitely worth the drive from St. Louis. It is a little hard to find in front of walmart but so worth the search. read more

I went here because I wanted a cocktail.. was never offered said drink and when I came back a second time over heard another nail tech offer someone a drink.... When I asked about it they denied having wine or anything apart from soda or water.... Nice people but just super confused....also mentioned today what the nail color number was and they said it wasn't that color and needed to redo a full fill. I just wanted one nail repaired and a drink. lol. It was the number that I stated and matched it perfectly. Establishment was very clean, but had to request to be sat away from other customers while getting a pedicure. Only a few polish colors were offered to me for the basic pedicure ($25). Pedicure was okay, they did not remove any of the calluses/dead skin on my or my partners feet (which is a big reason why I get pedicures). The exfoliant was nice, but did not receive a massage as advertised on their pedicure flyers. Two days after receiving the pedicure the polish is already chipping off. read more
