I wanted to try a new nail place in town and found LA Nails I needed to go to PetsMart too so this was a convenient option. And I will cut to the chase this is my new nail place. I got both a manicure and pedicure both were great. A husband & wife couple were there both extremely nice and curious to make sure I was happy with the service. The husband taking care of my nails and when she was done with her customer there was no one waiting it was close to closing time and she thoroughly cleaned the whole place while he did my manicure/pedi. Within 24 hours after getting this fantastic manicure I was chopping veggies with a nice sharp knife and luckily my nail kept me from seriously cutting my finger but chipped the mani I went back to the store and offered to pay for it. He didn't say a word and fit me in after he finished the client he was on redid my one nail that was chipped and re-coded all my other nails, and refused to take payment for fixing it. As I said earlier this is the nail salon business I will be going to from now on. read more

I'm very disappointed. I have been frequenting the salon for over a year. They do not respect my time. I make my appointments well in advance. My tech took a walk-in before my appointment and was running 1 hour behind. The owners sat in their massage chairs looking at their phones and would not assist me with my basic pedicure or manicure. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Me and my friend decided to go here for a manicure and pedicure. They told us it would only be a 30 minute wait, however we waited for an hour. They were beyond rude, and they cut me on two of my toe nails and one of my fingers. My finger started bleeding and she just ignored it. She kept grabbing my fingers and shaking her head at me. The lady that did my nails didn't even talk to me, just just grabbed my hands gave me dirty looks. Me and my friend both asked for coffin shaped but we left with square. She made them so wide and so long, when we kept asking for shorter nails. She made me pay before she even started on my nails. None of my nails are the same length, and she used way too much acrylic. I can overlook small mistakes, but at this point I could have done better. It was an awkward environment, and I will never be going back here. read more

I received a mani/pedi from this salon as a gift from a girlfriend in Indy. The guy was nice and did a really good job. The calf massage was a teeny bit uncomfortable on my shin bones. I picked a bright red glitter polish for my nails and toes. I was really pleased with the whole experience. Unfortunately, the glitter started coming off a few days later, but overall - it was great! Got a mani/pedi and it was such a waste of money. My nails were filed crooked and jagged. I asked for a clear coat and it was dull an hour later. I had to go home, round out my nails myself, lotioned up my feet, and put another clear coat on. My finger nails still have cuticles showing, and also filed uneven. Never going back there again! I've been trying to find a good nail salon in the area... and this isn't the one either! The decor is nice, but they don't have a nice and wide selection of colors. I got a pedicure and I've had better. I really like it when they take the time to scrub my feet and it didn't happen here. The girl took her time on massaging my legs, which may sound nice, but it didn't feel as nice. She was just literally caressing my legs, which after a while felt annoying. Also they only had four people working and people kept coming in, so at the end of my pedi, I felt like she was rushing to be done and move onto the next client. I hate when that happens and I usually try to go at times when I assume it'd be slow, but it doesn't work out every time. Overall this place is just okay, try somewhere else! I've been here several times for gel manicures, and yeah, I'm a fan! I've always had decent service, and the nail techs are usually very polite. Depending on the tech, their work on gel nails is pretty good. I've had a few techs that rushed a little bit, but they have never messed up my nails in such a way that would make me angry. I don't let the little things bother me; the wait is to be expected if you go during prime time (c'mon people..), and the language difference is not difficult whatsoever (if you think so, you're probably an a-hole and insecure. THEY'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU). In fact, this is the only nail salon I've been to where the techs actually talk to me. The owner is really cool, and he tells me about his family all the time. The salon is pricey, but that is to be expected too. read more

Extremely disappointed in my service I received today (2/24). I got the 'Honey Sugar Scrub Pedicure' a service that sounded relaxing and just what I was looking for. I've gotten many pedicures in my life to kind of know the basics of what they do service wise and my nail tech was speeding through the process and missing steps. My nail tech was far from polite. She shoved my feet into the tub and yanked them out when it was time for me to switch feet. The 'honey scrub and hot stone massage' lasted no more than 30 seconds for BOTH legs. The 'honey scrub' was an alarming orange color and came out of a rather dirty looking container and the 'hot stones' were hardly warm. I felt so uncomfortable the entire time. I left almost in laughter because it was such an awful experience. I will not recommended this place to anyone nor will I be coming back. read more

I went for a relaxing manicure and felt more stressed being there. The lady that did my nails was not friendly; she kept speaking in her native tongue to other employees, rushed through the massage part (which I was really looking forward to) and then left me to dry my nails for over 25minutes...she never checked on me...I couldn't even see if she was still in the building. The high school kid who did my mani pedi couldn't have been less interested in doing a good job. He sucked and I hated the whole experience. The paraffin and hot stones that come with the general cost of the service (but really only last approximately 2.5 minutes) are not worth it. Nope. Never again. Went in for a gel manicure, and got no part of "manicure" other than polish. Used a sanding bit on my nails, and when I protested(how about asking me?), he got pissy. Talked on his phone the entire time, and looked shocked when I declined the tip. And I ALWAYS tip at least 20%, so that's how abysmal this was. The kicker? I'm from out of town and searched everywhere near the Collinsville area that did SNS nails. This salon uses a different brand called Nugenesis, which is still a powder dip process. I'm not sure if the quality of the product contributed to the problem, but the nail technician was awful. I called ahead to make sure they'd be open &they told me they closed at 7:30, although the sign out front said 8. We went in at 6:30 and there was only one other women finishing up as we got there. I think this is the reason why the woman doing my nails was annoyed with me the moment I sat down. Clearly they are use to closing up early. She was not friendly, AT ALL. She answered her phone multiple times and mocked me when she wasn't happy with my feed back (not like she asked for it). She went on doing my nails without bothering to make sure if I liked anything and got frustrated with me when I asked her to fix something. For example, I asked her to make them a more pointy shape and instead of doing one and making sure I liked the shape, she did them to her own satisfaction and tried to go on to the next step. If she would have asked me she could have avoided the frustration of having to do it again... She also really didn't seem to know what she was doing. This could be in part due to the fact it's a new technique around here, but I can't imagine she has done it many times before. Regardless, my nails look chunky and she was annoyed with me when I had her buff them down because clearly she just wanted to leave. She also didn't bother to get the powder all the way to the cuticle. She told me she couldn't because of the way my nails were growing. What? I've never had this problem before and I'm pretty sure my nails have been always been growing the same way. I think she just didn't feel like, or didn't know how to, fix her mistake. She also got paint everywhere. To the point where she was literally filing it off the MIDDLE of my FINGERS because she waited until I pointed out I couldn't get it off. She also didn't bother to get the red I previously had all the way off my nails & I can see it under my now white nails. All in all, from a distance my nails look good, but up close it's a really shotty job and I'll probably have to get them done again in a week. I mean she didn't even get all the way to my cuticles and the nail itself if not completely smooth. I'm very disappointed with my experience. I wish I could say otherwise because the owner is a really nice gentlemen. I'm not sure how many women work there, but if he got rid of the one that did my nails last night, he'd probably be better off. My sister got acrylics done there &they look pretty good, but I don't think her nail tech was too friendly either. Sadly, I would not recommend this salon. read more

I have been going there for years. I loved Leann, but she left and ownership switched. I have been using Wendy with the tattoos, who is trying to switch her name to Sue, because there are two Wendy's. Usually she does a great job, but sometimes she has a bad attitude and sometimes she doesn't do a fantastic job. Forgets what color you asked for and then wants to argue with you about it when you say hey, that's not the color I wanted. Now I am the first one to admit we all have bad days, and as long as it's fixed in the end that's what really matters. But I have complained maybe 3-4 times. And now I tried scheduling an appointment for today. I scheduled it like Sunday or Monday. Now I'm getting ready to go to my appointment and I get a text supposedly from the owner, however, when I responded back I got a message that states it is not the owner texting me right now. The original text is canceling my appointment and saying by that because I have complained I can cancel or reschedule with someone else. So what I am just supposed to drop $60+ dollars every two weeks and when it's not right, just be like oh well? Next time. Heck no I am going to say something. Looks like I will not be going back there. read more

From the second I walked in, and the lady couldn't even look up from her phone to greet me I knew I should have walked back out. The entire time I felt like I was interrupting time that could be spent on the phone. Even when they told me to go wash my hands, for the 1 minute I had to do that they couldn't even not look at their phone. I even watched a regular customer walk in with a Starbucks drink for one of the employees and she barely was able to stop her texting conversation long enough to thank her. Not impressed at all. I asked for a manicure and all I got was my finger nails painted. My hands are still dry and skin is still peeling along the sides. Will never come back. read more

Went in for a fill & gel color. Service was fine, nothing particularly good or bad. I thought it was odd that everywhere else always had my nails under the lamp for a good 60seconds but this guy was satisfied with just about 30seconds. I don't feel I should need to be second guessing the tech on their job and that they should be fully aware of what needs done so I didn't say anything. But I wasn't home 2 hours before the polish peeled off my thumb nail. read more

In 20 plus years of going to a nail salons, this was my WORST EXPERIENCE. I was in a hurry and went to the closest salon to my hotel. I called ahead. They take walk ins. From the moment I walked in, it was an extremely rude reception. A woman started on my pedi, she was rough, completely cut my toenails in a shape I disdain, she was filing my skin and not my actual nails, talking and laughing while not paying attention to the service. When I asked for further callus remover, she blatantly refused although I said I would pay extra. I had to do it myself. She walked away and said "call me when you are done". She sent me to another person to get my gel manicure. Same level of rudeness. I made a needed phone call. Typically I wouldn't be in the phone. I asked for my nails to be the same length and he said I was being rude by being on the phone. The initial one confronted me and was waiving her finger at me. I was in absolute shock. More horrifying details but I have written enough. I typically write positive reviews but this one deserves the worst review I have given. read more

Terrible! I will not go back. They finished my entire pedicure in less than 30min with paraffin wax which should sit for 5-10 min. Also they were rushing through so fast that when they werepushing the cuticles back they pushed it back so far it hurt and it was entirely to hard. I have had pedicures for over 15 years now and this is the worst place I have ever been. I was irritated the entire time. It was not relaxing. Awful from the get go. Came in last week for a manicure pedicure.. was told to have a seat at the pedicure chair. I was told after 15 minutes that they refuse to start my water in the tub because "we only have 3 people working and it will be cold by the time we get to you" so here I am still sitting in the chair 15 minutes in with my cold feet propped up, not relaxing at all! The only products used on my feet were the blue sanitizer which was poured from a dirty water bottle.. this is a most comical... then an oil for the massage. My toes were jabbed by the metal unfit nail cleaner which was extremely painful. Pedicure over... the manicure was completely unsanitary.. only water was used in my manicure. No cuticle remover, no lotion massage.. I now have a count of 15 hang nails from the clipping of my cuticles :( will never be back. read more

They do a great job on both hands and feet, with a wide selection of colors, both regular lacquer and gel. Lisa, Danny and Tracy are all wonderful techs. I visited this nail salon yesterday and was treated extremely rudely. Since I was dressed very casually, ( No jewelry or makeup) I was immediately profiled as a person that could not afford their "uppity" services. I was tossed from one person to another when other clients came in that were professionally dressed. When I asked not to have my fingers ground down to remove my polish, I was told that was not how they did it there and it took too long. I was eventually given to someone that was extremely sick and did not have any business being at work. The owner, who chose to speak Vietnamese to all of his employees, was visibly upset that I had made a special request. While the initial tech was good, she was trying to get him to quit raising his voice to her while she tried to do her best with me. I suggest that anyone who goes here, think about if first, and choose another salon. read more
