I bought an over priced Schlage tool, chunk of plastic with a couple of metal pins. Like $24.50. First mistake. Then they charged like $9 to ship from Hallandale to Port St Lucie, 100 miles via USPS. Got a note from USPS that they returned to sender for an incomplete address. They also offered a 1st time customer 5% discount. Never got that nor did the sales dept ever answer the question, where is the discount. In the process of getting a refund or I'll submit a dispute to my CC company, which they don't want me to do, as they said. Guess it makes them look bad. Buyer beware. read more

This is THE place to go for shower door parts, glass brackets, tools and hardware for glassworking. They have specialty supplies I can't find at Home Depot or Lowe's and can be pretty hard to track down online (mostly CR Laurence items). Their reps are pretty knowledgeable about their products and if they don't know the answers they're good at doing some research and getting back to me with a real answer -- which is WAY better than giving me an immediate answer that's wrong. Their warehouse is set up for local pick-up, but there's no loading dock. Be prepared to do some heavy lifting if you buy a lot of heavy items. Be very careful with what you purchase from DK Hardware. My sales associate was very helpful when I was trying to order over the phone and when I asked if it was the wrong product I was told just simply get a RMA# and return it, which is what ended up happening I had to return it. When I called to get my RMA# the lady told me I could send in a sample of what I needed so I did and the customer service agent now tells me they do not have time to try and match the product, that would be my job. Also, no one told me there was a 20 to 25% restocking fee. Very upset, I could have ordered thru Amazon with no fees. Worst experience I've had in a minute. I do a lot of home renovation work and I can't remember a company with worse customer service and transparency. Ordered a product they claimed to have in stock, weeks go by and no update, I called and asked for an update, was hung up on and then told they can't tell me where it is. Absolutely ludicrous. I have had a very bad experience with DK Hardware and order Plastic clips for spring balances for Window I ordered the plastic clips the tools to install new rivets and rivet I receive the package for my crew and put it aside as they would not be workingOn the window balance springs at the end of the project. My crew called me from the job site when they open the box and said the rivets were not there I called DK hardware and told them of the problem but since the order was over 30 days old and I did not open the box immediately when I got it they would not replace the rivets the problem of it is the rivets are not more than $.10 apiece and I need 30 of them you would think for $3.00 dollars they would try to help the customer out but instead now they told me too bad your problem. I was excited to receive a fantastic wall mounted mirror but unfortunately when I opened the package the glass was shattered. At over $200 I thought it would have been packaged better however it was wrapped in a UPS bag with light foam on the outside :( When I called to get a refund they (past the 30 days since my remodel took longer than planned) they refused to replace the items saying they couldn't claim it with the shipping company which is disappointing to say the least since there was no damage to the outside of the box so they wouldn't have gotten a refund anyway. Needless to say the product and customer service were terrible and now I am out over $200. read more

Save yourself the aggravation and don't purchase anything from DK Hardware. I placed an internet order for 2 HVAC vent items from them approximately 10 days ago. I had to call them a few days after placing the order to get the shipment status, and the day after the call I received a tracking # from Fedex. The package arrived as expected, however only 1 item was in it. After several calls to customer sevice, they said this was a drop ship item and they forgot to order the second item from the internet order. I asked them to refund the amount of that item and the shipping, but the representative said he needed management approval for that! As of this moment I have no idea whether the refund has been processed or will be processed. I expect I will have to end up disputing this with my credit card company. So, long story short, the hassle of dealing with this company, the lack of customer support, and the lack of reliability and quality control over orders make it too risky to place orders with DK Hardware. I am in the medical field and ordered gloves, sanitizers, and other cleaning supplies to enable our clinic to remain open. These orders were cancelled and when I asked sales how they determined which orders were fulfilled first I was told it was on a first come first served basis. I questioned this positing that hospitals, medical facilities, and other essential services should be fulfilled first and was told this was not their policy. I would suggest that during this Covid-19 pandemic we all have a social responsibility to ensure our communities are safe and DK Hardware's policy endangers the lives of our medical professionals and first responders. Not thrilled about their advertisment clearly stating "ships same day",especially with an in stock item.after asking if they would ship the item i purchased they stated "it will go out by the end of the week"... I asked them why they wouldn't honor their ship same day policy and they said that it will cost more money to ship because their product was coming from LA which is thousands of miles closer to me then Florida where they said they had the in-stock item. I believe these guys are scammers they're just trying to earn an extra buck or 23 to be exact. I purchased an item from them they should have sent it out same day however that was not the case. BEWARE! I've made the mistake of ordering from this company three times before realizing it's a total SCAM. All three times they said the item was not in stock and they needed to bring it in from a third party. All three times I was never sent a tracking number, all three times the website fall advertised and said the item was in stock and could be shipped immediately. The first time I called to track the order, the customer service agent (always from another country who clearly not employed from DK Hardware) couldn't even find my order number. If I had the time or patience I would report them to the BBB, but the amount of stress that has been caused by this company is just not worth it. I'm writing this to save other people the headache. Impressively poor customer service. I ordered an item that was listed as "in stock" and "usually ships in 1 day" only to find out after a week that the item was not in stock and had to be shipped in from another warehouse. I asked about upgrading the shipping speed to compensate and was told to contact them in two days when the item arrived at their warehouse. I contacted them on the morning I was told to and they informed me the item had already shipped out using USPS ground shipping. They were unwilling to refund my shipping charges and said there was nothing they could do. read more

Ordered new polished nickel hinges for our glass bathroom door online. Received the items via mail in a flimsy envelope. Upon opening one of the hinge boxes it was too large. I never opened the second box. I contacted DK hardware for a return authorization (FYI - 20% restocking charge!) and mailed the hinges back the next day in the original packaging, wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a USPS cardboard box. A few days later my wife received a email that the hinges were scratched and that our $166 refund was denied. There were some minor (like microscopic) scratches on the hinge I opened but I didn't consider a deal breaker and attributed it to their poor packaging. Never opened the second hinge. Not sure this is a company I would do business with ever again. Felt like we got ripped off by a con artist. read more
