It direct you to drive by Buccaneer State Park. You feel a bit confused when you drive through Waveland. But rest assured you are still in the Bay. It is a bit challenging when you take off highway 90 to a long local road. Even though you it may seem a trek. You have a great view of the coast! At the end of the road, you arrive to your destination. As you arrive. The parking garage is located on the right or you wish to valet. Just pull up to the front entrance. We parked on the ground floor of the garage. It was our first time there. They have plenty of parking spaces available especially handicap parking spaces . They have elevators available with easy access. The buffet is located on the second floor. As you take the elevator to the second level. As you walk in the restaurant is on the right side. It is a smoking casino. Do not be discouraged. It is a short walk away and the restaurant is non-smoking. As you walk in. The staff is so friendly. I was amazed how well the customer service is. We went during the lunch time. Not as much of a seafood selection. I heard the dinner time dining has an excellent seafood selection! They offer a military discount. They mention you have to sign up for it and they also provide many other great discounts and link your military service with your players card. The hostess asked if we prefer a table or booth to sit. We opted for a booth. The seating in the booth is very comfortable. She asked what we like to drink! Of course, started out with the sweet tea and Mr. Pibb (Dr. Pepper) They have a small selection. Please ask what they offer. They do offer alcohol beverages. Please ask what they provide. (Drink responsibly) They have table or booth seating. Recommend sitting in the booth if it is just you or someone else joining in on the fun. Otherwise, I recommend going for a table since you have multiple people with you. We opted for a booth. It is very comfortable. Almost like you are sitting in a couch. The restaurant is not very big but a great place. Plenty of room. They offer a wonderful selection. The salad bar is in the middle of restaurant. They offer a rotating selection and subject to change depending upon what day you go. The food is pretty good. The desserts are on the left side. They don't have fresh ice cream but ice cream machine tho. One thing that is unique about it. Only a few places I know offer fresh made funnel cake that are made to order. But they are the only casino that offers freshly made fried Oreos and churros at this time. Great food! Especially if you're in the area! I know it maybe a bit pricey but highly recommend planning your visit for dinner. Many people I have talked to, recommend it. In my opinion. Especially if you are seafood lover. I know it may be out of the way but well worth it! They offer free Wi-Fi. Recommend connecting to it since your cell phone signal is not as good inside. In my opinion.

They serve crabs everyday including lunch. Not a lot of casino do that anymore. Which is rare. $50…read morefor dinner. They have good crabs. Snow crab and stone crab. They are fresh, the meats are not dry and the legs are not skinny unlike many other buffets. Other varieties of food like salad, seafoods, soup are great too. Soup is loaded. Chinese and Mexican items need some work but that's the only complaint I have. Mexican section just throw it away, it is not appealing at all. They have the saddest looking tamales. I think they should serve carnitas and rice instead Workers need a cart to help with clean up. Dining room is too big for them to be carrying tray full of dishes everywhere Small casino but surprisingly good buffet. Big name like Cesar in NOLA don't even have buffet anymore. In 2025, this buffet is 5/5. If you want to rate it against casino buffet before Katrina, I would say this is still a 4/5 compare to the best years of Beau Rivage

I was finally able to make a point of making a special trip over there on a Saturday late afternoon. Unfortunately it still wasn't the best timing for a first trip or making a review as we were limited to what we could order based on the fact that their hours state they close at 5 but they shut the kitchen down at 4:30 and we got there just after 4. It's hard going out for dinner to a place that closes at 4:30. I ordered a sausage sandwich which to my delight was not the monotonous Conecuh. It was really good and reminiscent of some of the whole in the wall places in Texas that does good sausage. The only draw back was that being near closing time they didn't have links but was able to do slices. It was good but hard to eat. My hubs got chicken and ribs. I liked the ribs... they still had some bite, tender but not falling apart, and the smoke is mild, not overkill like so many other places do. Hubs wasn't a huge fan of but I thought they were nice. The chicken was on the dry side, but I never go to a bbq joint to order chicken so it's not a deal breaker for me. The only major downer was that all of our sides seemed to be standard pre-made and ordered items, not made in-house. I also liked the hole in the wall vibe, the friendly staff, and the divine smoke aroma that lets you know you're in the right bbq joint. All in all I enjoyed their Q and will need to go back when I can get the timing right to sample their steam table offerings.

Overall, I'd give the experience a solid 4 out of 5. The ribs were the highlight -- flavorful, tender, and had a satisfying bite without being fall-off-the-bone (which I actually prefer). They also gave a good portion, which made it feel like a great value. I'd rate them a 4.5/5 for sure. The sides were a bit underwhelming. The mac and cheese was decent but nothing special. The baked beans were flavorful but still tasted like they just added some onions and peppers to a can of beans. I'd give the sides a 3/5. Service was decent for a pickup order. The woman who took my call didn't sound particularly thrilled, but she got the job done efficiently. 4/5 for service. The ambiance, based on what I saw while picking up, fits the classic country BBQ vibe. Cozy and no-frills in a good way. Clean and authentic. I'd say 4.5/5. I'd definitely come back, especially to try the buffet next time. There's more on the menu I'm curious about.
