We came into town and stayed overnight. Recommend by the hotel, we ordered a xp cheese pizza and a small salad. Thin crust with great taste and the salad was awesome. Delivery person was awesome and it was fast. We always get pizza up east...always better. Great place for pizza. read more

Good pizza. The mashed potato pizza is VERY good. Wings are good. Fried calamari is good. Food was ready when they said it would be. Have not tried their delivery service or online ordering yet. Very friendly staff. The guy running the register even took my pizza to my car! Good food, good service. Definitely recommend. read more

I have never used Grubhub or ordered from DJ's Pizza. What an excellent experience. The food was delicious the service fast! I am visiting my sister and will be ordering form DJ's again. Thanks for making my first experience perfect. read more

Updating review because of the consistently great delivery service I get from DJ's. It's always faster than expected and the food is hot and delicious. Definitely order from DJ's and you won't be disappointed! read more

This place is great!! They just opened up a location in Fairfield and since we found out we have been going there all the time. I typically get the blackened tilapia with broccoli and mashed potatoes and it's so good! We also tried their baked mac and cheese and it was so crispy and perfect. I highly recommend this spot as your go to Friday night take out food, we have nothing but great things to say! The staff is so nice (which is a change from competitor pizza spots) and once the owner even delivered the food to thank us!! Can't get any better than that! read more

I LOVE their pizza! Their Hot Oil specialty pizza is amazing. I also order salads from their as well and they always cater to my needs! I def. recommend them and will continue to order from here :) Good work guys! Oh and you can't ever go wrong with a buffalo chicken grinder! Delicious! read more

I called just before they were closing to see if they can deliver and they did! they came within 20 minutes! The pizza was hot and it was very delicious thank you read more

Friendly delivery service and I've ordered from here often. With that said the last 2 times the food has practically been inedible. Chicken cutlets so thin and over cooked it was like eating shoe leather. Side of French fries that were so greasy and over fried at the same time... And this was a noon order on a Wednesday. Sad as they are pretty prompt and like I said the service was great. Guess I'll have to find a new regular. read more

Once again we ordered pizza from DJ's and we were VERY disappointed. These people have no business making pizza. Pizza was cold upon delivery and the crust was paper thin. The only reason i gave them one star is because i was unable to give them a half of one. This time i blame myself for going back again. You know the old saying: the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results!!! read more

Great food! Everything is good, pizza and pasta! The owners are great people, always accommodating.

Well, this was certainly an eye opener. When DJ's first opened, it was the most delicious, new pizza in Shelton. Every time we ordered, the food was delicious, pizza excellent. As time went on, the pizza wasn't up to par as before. Orders were not delivered as ordered, we had to call and clarify our order. Finally, we decided to stop frequenting our favorite pizza parlor. Time goes on, and we thought we would try it again for old times sake. Well, bad decision b/c tonight we ordered pizza. The salami/pepperoni pizza with a side of hot oil was so undercooked, it was raw. Also, DID NOT get a side of hot oil. Our fresh tomato pizza was absolutely dry and had literally 6 slices of tomato on it, and the cheese was cold and coagulated when delivered. We truly did love DJ's, but this is the worst pizza we have ever tasted. Very sad, they were my go to. Also forgot a side of pizza sauce. read more

Ordered dinner tonight for my father, boyfriend and myself. Food was great! I had the sautéed tilapia with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I would suggest it to anyone! Delivery time is never more than 45 minutes and very friendly staff and drivers! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food at a reasonable price. read more

My favorite pizza place! This is the only place so far in CT that I actually feel good after eating their pizza. Other places, I regret it within 30 minutes of the last bite. What makes this pizza so different? I'm not sure, but I think it is because they don't load it up with crummy quality cheese. The quality and amount of toppings are perfect and delicious! I feel fabulous the rest of the evening. This is the only pizza place that I have found to be worthy of a weekly visit. Oh - and the employees are SO nice and friendly. What more could one ask for? Nothing! Well except maybe they could add a small dining room so I could eat it as soon as it slides out of the oven. read more

I've never stepped foot into the location but I've ordered from them over 50 times... Not kidding. I'm about to order again right now. Their food, delivery service & people are awesome!!! You want good quality food, you better order from them. My name is Krystina & I don't work there. Lol I'm a real customer. 2 thumbs WAY up for you guys!!! read more

I work near Dj's and they are prompt and even know many of us by name and greet us as such on the phone. Perfect place to eat and the pizzas are wonderful especially the hot oil and their hamburger pizza read more

Just ordered from here!! The mozzarella pizza is pretty good, not as good as New York pizza or anything like that but very good for Connecticut. The mozzarella pizza was good, but the mashed potato bacon pizza was AMAZING! It was a big hit for the kids and the adults. Everything about the mashed potato bacon pizza was scrumptious, including the moist, not burnt, delicious crust. We also ordered the garlic bread and cheese which was good. I'd like to know if their fried dough is worth buying bc it's a little expensive! It had Fast delivery,, came before they said they would and reasonable pricing although some things were a little on the expensive side. overall, my favorite delivery place around trumbull, CT. read more

I moved to Shelton in November of 2014 and ever since then, DJ's has been my go-to pizza place. The pizza and grinders are awesome and are usually ready for pickup in 15 minutes or less. Also, everybody that works there is super friendly both on the phone and in-person. I highly recommend DJ's if you are looking for a good pizza place in the Shelton area. read more

Food is always early or on time and it is made right every time. I stopped ordering the chocolate cake when they started serving what seems like a piece of chocolate cheesecake. They used to have the best fudge chocolate cake that I've ever tasted! Anyway, I ordered it again today and it's still the same disappointing chocolate cheesecake. :( read more

I agree 100% with sallie d's review. Salty...salty...salty....bland. Why do all these places feel the need to over salt everything? If you make a quality product and use quality ingredients, the flavors should speak for themselves...no need to over salt. Everyone is nice...I'll give them that. I'm shocked by the 4.5 star rating though. Do people get out much? My benchmark is roseland or pepe's. read more

Several days ago, I placed a large order, over $110, which included 7 pizzas and 2 large calzones. We've been ordering from this establishment for several years and we've not really had a problem. On this particular order, half of the pizzas were burnt and black on the bottom. The order was for a gathering of about 15 people. The guests ate only the tops of the pizza, that's how burnt they were. I took pictures of the pizza and called DJs. I explained the situation. They first offered to take the pizzas back. I explained the guests have already eaten the tops off of the pizza. They offered to send three pizzas over to the house. I explained that 4 of them were burnt, and the guests don't want their pizza. They offered a $15 credit. I said that would cover 1 pizza and 4 of them were burnt. Ok, $20 credit. I explained that half the pizzas were burnt, therefore a fair offering would be half the bill. Danny, got on the phone at this point. I explained the situation. "I'm not giving you the credit. I'm not going to stand here and argue, I'm busy." And Danny, one of the owners, hung up on me. I get pizza gets burnt. Things happen. I worked in a food establishment, and I've seen what goes on in those places, especially when it's a packed house. I'm not looking for a handout, and I've been a customer of theirs for years, often with orders $60 or more. I've never complained or had an issue with them. Until now. It's a shame and unfortunate that Danny had, what amounted to a tantrum instead of talking it out. Had he issued a credit, we would have continued to order from there in the future and he would have certainly recouped that lost revenue, whatever the size. But. I will not be ordering from DJs again, nor will I be recommending them, which represents and even larger loss. read more

I get delivery while I'm working and I usually get the same thing but they are great on the phone, on time with delivery, and always remember my little extra requests. (Usually extra parm cheese) I work on the same road and recommend to guests. (I work at a hotel) I also highly recommend the chicken francese, they also have no problem substituting the mashed potatoes it usually comes with for pasta. The delivery drivers are nice as well. read more

where to start----this place is awesome, great food, good prices, great staff, everything i have gotten from here is great! if you haven't been here yet, you don't know what you are missing! read more

We ordered the Supreme pizza, large, for pickup. The pizza was ready and hot. It was delicious! The crust was average thickness, but better than average taste. The toppings were generous, fresh and great quality. The onions were sweet and freshly chopped, fresh mushrooms and a variety of peppers. The sausage chunks were large and tasty. Plenty of pepperoni too. Very flavorful! We'll be back! The only negative was that the menu is only visible through GrubHub, which I did not want to install on my phone. On the computer, you can't see different sizes or a list of toppings, unless maybe you create an account. read more

The best grinder I have every had and top 5 in wings. Real friendly staff. Affordable prices especially for Shelton. I am from Manhattan it takes a lot to please me. read more

Great pizza! I love their white pizza and my husband has liked all of the red pizzas that he's tried. I didn't like their calzones but they have plenty of choices with their pizzas for me to choose from. read more

We had the best experience at DJ's last night! We are here from Texas for the Yale kicking camp. We were on campus until 8pm and then wanted a good meal to eat at the hotel. DJ's had extremely friendly staff, wonderful pizza, big fresh salads, and they cooked the pizza while we waited as we wanted to do take out! A great experience! read more

We order here because we are close by and usually it isn't so bad. Not comparable to New Haven pizza at all, but usually okay. The salads are decent but it's pretty hard to mess that up. Tonight's large cheese was overdone and barely edible. We've had some okay pizzas from here before but we probably won't be back. read more

Awesome mozzarella sticks and the pizza is great too (though it was not hot, just warm-ish both times)! Super quick service and very friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable too! Definitely plan on ordering from here in the future. read more

The only good thing about this place is the ease of online ordering. I got a sausage pizza, and a side of meatballs. The pizza was salty, the sauce was bland, and the meatballs were hard. Never again. read more
