FIVE GOLD STARS - BLOWN AWAY by the Taste, Artistry & Love…read more Hoja Blanca is a Pop Up Cafe at Truss and Twine bar on Wednesdays and Thursdays. (Check their schedule though.) FANTASTIC MENU (small but mighty!): We got one of everything on the menu and LOVED it!! (3 adults and we were super full) 10/10: Aguachiles - Everyone's FAVORITE. Wow it was packed with so much flavor and freshness, every bite created new textures and tastes. YES, you will want to "drink the sauces" (as Vito S. says in his review). They should seriously BOTTLE THAT SAUCE!!! Sell it online. Work your social media! We wanted to dip everything into that sauce. 10/10: Sungold Tostada - stunningly beautiful and delicious. MY Personal Favorite - every bite was soo yummy and unctuous and crunchy and creamy and yummy. I actually dream about this dish, it's so freaking good. It's light and delicious. I want more. 10/10: Cauliflower Esquites - everything you want in their version of Mexican sweet corn. 10/10: Maple Habanero Quesatacos: A perfect brunch taco. Such a unique creation with that CRUNCH of the crispy cheese shell enfolded with the soft tortilla (almost like a naan bread), topped with soft custard egg and a subtle maple flavor. So good and super hearty. I crave this. 8/10: Chicken Tinga Tostada: It was delicious and juicy. For my tastes, it needed a bit more freshness, crunch and acidity. 8/10: Flan: Loved the perfect texture of the flan (smooth and custard firm), and the cherries draped over it. For my tastes, it needed a bite of acidity in the cherries/sauce. The cocoa nibs were a great crunch. Would have liked to add a bit of freshness too. OVERALL -- ABSOLUTE GEM! Please keep going and sharing your craft with the world. Yum.

The Mac-n-cheese was on the dry side whereas we prefer creamy, and the peach cobbler was tasty but more like bread pudding with lots of peaches.

Their pop-up restaurant moves around to various venues, like wineries and breweries. The service was very good, and Chef Taylor (owner) and his staff were super friendly and open to my feedback. We tried the Old Yeller ($14), a Wagyu beef hotdog served with chips and a sweet pickle. We also tried a bowl of their Wagyu Homestead Chili ($12), topped with cheddar cheese and jalapeños. Their menu primarily focuses on Wagyu burgers, but we had eaten a large breakfast, so we just wanted to try something smaller. I enjoyed pairing the chili on my chips with the red wines we were tasting. We enjoyed everything we tried, and I would love to check them out again to try a burger. I recommend that you follow them on IG ("eatparlor") to see where they'll be popping up next.

Having Tisoy Curryative Cuisines cater our wedding was THE best decision we made. My husband and I…read moreswitched caterers about two months out from our wedding as our previous caterer wasn't meeting our expectations and were getting nervous with their respond time as we were quickly approaching the big day. We reached out to Tisoy as we came across them before and saw that they serve locally and their food looks delicious. We were hoping they would have our wedding day available and thankfully they did! Chef Matthew was very responsive from when I first inquired leading up to the wedding day! It brought such ease to our minds, that we didn't want to miss out on this opportunity, we booked right away! They were so kind and made sure that our wedding day would go smoothly. For cocktail hour, of course we had to include the pork lumpia into the mix. Giving that our family is filipino and our friends love lumpia, we doubled up the amount of lumpia for cocktail hour as we knew those would be a hit. and they were indeed! They made them fresh on the spot which my guests loved because it consistently had a good crunch to it! My guests were even waiting for the servers at the bottom of the railing because they just couldn't wait to eat more! haha It's been about two weeks since our wedding and we are still hearing such great feedback on our food selection! The most talked about was the Macadamia Crusted Salmon and the Huli Huli Chicken! Leading up to the wedding day, people kept telling me to make sure to eat because couples tend to not eat their food because they get distracted. But there was no way that I wasn't going to try Tisoy! We ended up with some leftover food that we were able to take with us, and my husband and I were stoked to be able to eat more of it! Chef Matthew and Ornella even walked up to us to personally congratulate us, and was able to have a conversation with them as well. They are such amazing and kind people, and their staff did amazing as well. We are so very grateful and thankful that we ended up with Tisoy as our wedding caterers. I really wish I can give more than five stars! We will definitely cross paths again and will have to go to the events that they are posted up at! Tisoy Curryative Cuisines, Maraming salamat! I did sample tacos from other vendors while walking around, and honestly, those were better. I still decided to order here since it was highly recommended. The tortillas are handmade and extremely thick to the point where it's just too much tortilla. After one taco, I was done because it overpowered everything else and made it unenjoyable. The meat quality wasn't great either; I definitely had better tacos from other vendors. I wouldn't recommend this spot, if you go to Tacolandia, I suggest trying a different vendor instead.
