So I'll do my best to save face for this place considering I've been coming here since I was a kid, even though it has changed ownership. Although it might look and sound like one of those typical, but smaller, chain restaurants, it's actually not. It's more like one of those last remaining remnants of the mom and pop restaurants we grew up with in the 90's. And being that it's connected to a gas station gives it a different look as well. I've seen a lot of reviews in regard to pricing and staff, and I'd actually remain neutral on both. Because I too have noticed the increase in pricing and also the slight difference in staffing. But what I'd like people to understand is unlike the SLOW overpriced itself McDonalds across the street, this place serves FRESH quality food. Not cold processed food served by bratty teenagers who don't want to work. Every place has its hits and misses. But honestly this place for the most part tends to hit a little bit more than usual. So if you're passing through town and get hungry after hitting Charlie Browns across the street, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

When this place first opened I enjoyed their food. My whole family and I would come and get food. However, the last couple of times I came here the food quality was not the greatest. The last time I came and probably the last I was extremely disappointed. For almost 30$ I got fries which were soggy, and my rib eye sandwich was half fat. I ordered a milkshake and I think either the ice cream was old or the milkshake was made with ice because it was like drinking a icee and was not creamy at all but watery. There have been a couple of times where they forgot to give me my drink and I drove away. Just disappointed, and for that amount of money I shouldn't be. I was going to call back later, but decided to go to YELP. Your staff needs to learn to count - 2 ranch dressings is not one. I clearly asked for 2 ranch dressings. Your staff answered back that there is an extra charge for the second one and I said OK, but only got one. And they need to figure out how to make a grilled cheese sandwich -it's on your menu and pretty simple. Everything I have ordered is an item on your menu. I've asked for nothing special, no substitutions. The level of service is very poor - more times than not in my experience. Nobody wants to leave any kind of store with a bag and get home or part of the way home and find that what they asked for is not in the bag. Nobody wants to have to return or call that business and complain. Nobody wants to sit at the window and inspect every sandwich before they drive away, make sure the onion rings are hot, make sure the right meat is in their sandwich or if the cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich is melted completely. Your staff has lost my trust and interest in your business. (Yes, the receipt clearly says bacon and egg, but I never read drive thru receipts. I'm a senior citizen, I wear reading glasses to read small print, but don't need glasses to drive or read large menu boards. I did look at the total on the receipt but didn't read the whole thing. By the time I'm paying, the order is already being made. Also, it was not busy when I drove through. Don't know about sit down customers. There was briefly one vehicle in front of me and another one pulled in behind me as the food was handed to me. Maybe your staff needs to read the order back to your customers before telling us the total and starting to make the food? Just a thought.) I'm so surprised ! The food my family and I had was really good. I'm reviewing this from a fast food perspective not fine dining. I had the Denver's omelette. It was o.k. It was not fluffy. The inside was perfect and tasty but the outside was a little overcooked. The home fries were delicious. The toast was just the way I like it. I had a caramel Frappuccino that was like dessert for me. I shared a side of fried zucchini with my husband and daughter and we still had left-overs. They give you sooo much of everything. Just know that whatever you order, you can share with one or two people, depending on how much you eat. Enjoy! I sure did. I gave this joint a try before posting this. The first time, I only got a burger combo and although the fries were delicious, my burger was plain and without seasoning. I came back a few days later and just ordered an asada burrito with green salsa, that was delicious and the burrito was a good size for one person. I came back a couple days later with my husband. I got a huevos rancheros plate and he got the menudo. Both plates were delicious and a big portion and the price was just as great! The ladies who work here are also so friendly and funny, and always welcomed us when we came in. So far I've had a chili burger, a DJ's burger, chicken strips, fries, onion rings, milkshakes and a cheeseburger. (Their burger buns are pretty weak, but everything else is real good) Real mom and pop. One comment on here said they're not good enough to compete with the nearby McDonalds. This joint is in the gasoline complex. Very easy to overlook. I came across this restaurant when I had to pay for the gas at the counter. I did not realize that there was a restaurant adjacent to the store. As soon as you enter, you'll see a very modest and simple eating area. The menu board was a LOT !!! I also ordered the breakfast platter. Needless to say, I was surprised to see how big and how much food I am taking home. It was massive !!! The chicken is not salty at all like that of KFC. I went there my first time and had a great experience. The cashier was very friendly and suggested that I could get their special value meal that included a ham McMuffin. I was very pleased and told my roommate I found a new spot to frequent . However on my next visit a day later I was not pleased. The cashier was not nice and when I tried ordering the exact same meal I had previously told me that it only came with sausage and that they didn't make substitutions. Food is avg to downright awful. I first visited this place soon after it opened and ordered some cheeseburgers. They tasted bland and on par with typical burger joints you find on any street USA. It actually made me miss the Whopper, as the previous tenant was Burger King. Second time I visited I ordered a steak dinner which was pretty expensive at around $14. I got something that was suppose to be steak but resembled a cheap gray burger patty instead. And it tasted a lot worse than it looked. In fact, the dollar steak at the Dollar Store tastes more like real steak than this. It was so disgusting, I ended up giving it to my dogs. I wish I could find the photo I took of it cause it was truly awful. The included onion rings and salad were decent though. I actually wanted to order soup but the rude employee wouldn't let me. I was hoping I didn't have to drive to Palmdale to get my filling of steak dinner at the much better Tom's Burgers, but I guess I have no choice since this place doesn't know how to make decent steaks. read more
