Coming down from Soledad canyon we were looking for something not fast food lol. We had seen this place on our way up and decided to try it out. We didn't realize they close at 3 and we got there around 2:05. When we walked in there was not hostess, and it wasn't busy but the hostess seemed to also be the waitress. No problem we just felt bad being waited to get sat since we knew time was of the essence lol. Before she even sat us she asked what we wanted to drink which I found funny cause uhh please let me look at the menu. But whatever again maybe it would have been different if they weren't close to closing. We needed up ordering the chicken Cesar salad, chicken fried steak, side of bacon, and side of cottage cheese. Everything was good, classic diner so nothing is going to blow your socks off but everything will taste good. The chicken in my salad was juicy and not dry which I loved. I have tried Rodeo Cafe in other cities so I was very excited when I learned there was one closer to home. The place itself is very spacious and has plenty of seating which helps with wait times. The food was delicious, but my only complaint is that my chilaquiles and beans were quite cold when I got them. However, even cold they were very delicious. That's the only reason this isn't a 5 star. Everyone else also loved their food. The server was attentive and friendly. Very on top of things without needing to be asked. Sorry to say I never did it to try any of the food on the menu. I was served my drink right away and then no attention after that for 15 minutes so I just paid for my drink and left. Don't know if that's normal service or not, but it was in a great environment and there wasn't that many people there. read more

This really is a great place to eat. We stopped by for lunch with some friends. What a great meal. From the burgers to omelettes it was quite enjoyable. Everyone commented on how good their food was. I had In-N-Out last night and their Classic Burgers here today. I would take this classic burger over In-N-Out every time. The service was excellent! They came by several times to make sure we were happy with our food and to refill our beverages. Plenty of seating with a nice clean appearance. Well . We went this morning to have breakfast and the food was ok nothing impressive but the service was really bad by Jess the waitress. The restaurant it wasn't busy only like 5 customers and she didn't go to the table to ask if everything is okay ok something. It takes like 15 min to get more coffee and that's it she never came back to the table to see if everything was ok or something worse waitress . Specifically right now with everything is going on you have to give good customer service. Because honestly we don't go back again never again. That's the reason why restaurants don't survive. I'm going to tell everyone don't go there . And waste your money read more

I had my heart set on eating Rodeo Cafe today. The yelp hours and sign outside the restaurant said it was open until 3pm. We got here at 2:15pm and they told us they were closed. I don't live near here and was bummed out Rodeo Cafe did this without notice. I've been a very loyal customer to Rodeo Cafe before it started growing, very disappointed.
