Staff was very friendly and accommodating so no complaints at all. The sandwich was below mediocre in my opinion. Bread is too bready and just doesn't taste fresh. Bread is the most important part of the sandwich if that's on point everything else will only enhance the the experience. I got on of the most popular sandwiches "Knuckle Sandwich" 6inch and so glad I didn't get the larger option. Wasn't impressed I wouldn't be back to try another sandwich. Personally I rather go to Jersey Mike's. Location has a good amount of seating, lots of beer on tap. Staff is friendly. That's where he ends for me. Sandwich was almost $12 and not worth it.

The Knuckle Sandwich - 6" Hero

Can't believe I've lived in Phelan for 6 years and this is my first time here! Ok but for real, these are just flat out great sandwiches. I came in for the first time and asked the very sweet lady at the register what she recommended. She gave me a couple of suggestions and decided to get them. The knuckle, Turkey Bacon avocado, and the buffalo chicken is what we ordered. All 3 were so good! Fresh ingredients and they weren't falling apart like other sandwich shops. When I saw the price for a 6" ($12 each) I was like ok that's pretty expensive, but when she brought them out I understood why. It was huge and it they definitely did not skimp on the ingredients. 10/10 recommend

Barely any avocado

My family and I decided to try this place out. It's been over three years and they're still in business so we figured it had to have improved. Wrong. The turkey, bacon, avocado had about 1 small slice of avocado spread on the bottom, one slice of tomato with 2 slivers of tomato, and the turkey tasted funky. Their potato salad and macaroni salad tastes like it's from stater brothers (probably is and if it is they're making bank). And no more Italian dressing? Never again. Save your money, go to subway.

Stopped for a coffee, stayed for some breakfast. This was delish

I know how much we usually spend on our bill here. This time the bill was almost $20 more than what we pay. I was being double charged for drinks and double charged on toast as well. I even looked at the menu again in case i was wrong. The waitress made excuses for the charges when i told her about them. I made her take off the extra 2'drink charge. But she wouldn't budge on the toast cost. I paid the bill even though i still feel like it was incorrect. Then when i asked for a to go cup of my soda refill. She said with a smirk on her face that she's supposed to charge for that as well. Ive never gotten this kind of customer service at this establishment. The younger waitresses are always very nice. But this waitress who i've had to deal with twice now is completely rude.

We always sit on the bar side where Carlos is our server. My husband and I enjoy being served by Carlos. He's very personable and we have great conversation with him. He takes EXCELLENT care of us every single time. However, ALL of the servers at Rodeo Cafe are excellent and very attentive. You can't go wrong with anywhere you sit. You will be taken care of. Now for the food.... The food is great and the prices are exceptional. You get alot of food for your money. I usually always order the same thing. The veggie omelet with no broccoli and a side FRIED pancake. Yes, a fried pancake!! You HAVE to try it. It's AMAZING! Sandy (one of the servers) introduced me to the fried pancake and I've been hooked ever since. And of course, I always order a mimosa with my breakfast too. Yes folks!!! They have a FULL bar!! I love this! And they make pretty darn good drinks. I've also tried their burgers and they're pretty good too. The Mexican dishes are also really good. Honestly, I don't feel like you could go wrong with anything off the menu. All in all, Rodeo Cafe offers a great dining experience with fantastic service and pricing. I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do. And sit in Carlos' section. He's a sweetheart and he'll take great care of you.

Excellent cup of coffee…read more Everyone at the village grind is so kind. They make very good coffee. It is super smooth, and not very sweet. They have lots of flavors available such as pumpkin, marshmallow, lavender, rose, and standard flavors like vanilla, caramel, and others. They offer mini bites to eat such as donuts, bagels, quesadillas, etc. They also offer wine. The owner has some nice wines to try. They have live music, and always know what local events are happening around town. They also stayed open when we had bad fires to feed the fire fighters. I will always be a customer of the grind! You know a place is doing something right when the locals are posted up. The owner (at least I believe he was) was so welcoming and suggested their pumpkin spice latte, mentioning that it's not like the rest. Okay, now I had to try it! He was super cool and down-to-earth, and we ended up chatting about all things coffee. I love when you can actually connect with the person behind the counter--that's my kind of coffee shop. The space is small, charming, and cozy, with limited indoor seating. The coffee was strong, and the pumpkin flavor was subtle and tasted real--not overly sweet or fake-syrupy. I personally would've liked it a touch sweeter and maybe hot instead of iced, but that's just my preference. Overall, a cute local gem with good coffee, friendly people, and those cozy mountain-town vibes. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Wrightwood, and I'd happily come back!

But this time we arrived in the summer to wander around on foot in the warm mtn air. And we drove around looking at all cozy neighboring cottages, for thirsty and hungry for a lil snack and walked into Evergreen Cafe, which is the street it sits on. All were yummy and exactly what we needed for a mid-summer day snack around town. There's also, a wrap around outdoor patio, so we'll bring our doggos next time for a proper vege burger sit-down meal. Hehe. This was our very first time wandering this downtown area, we never knew it existed and it was FUN, friendly, and very cozy. :) Thanks for the wonderful service Ethan. Stopped in here to grab a drink and a snack b4 finishing our walk around town…read more Place is adorable and dog friendly for those that have- bc we met the cutest dog, Milo who was hanging out next to us. I ordered a Nutella espresso martini mocktail and my man ordered an allagash beer (not on the menu, but on tap) - NEW beer for them, which was a great bonus! There were several people working as wait staff and one bartender, who was the manager that day onsite. Seemed like he was making tons of drinks for several tables - because, sitting at the bar right in front of him- took maybe 5+ minutes to even acknowledge that we were sitting in front of him in the middle of the bar- then it took 15 + minutes to get the two drinks and an order of fries. That was the only downpoint- but everything else was fine. Fries were great with a nice homemade ranch dressing. My mocktail martini was good - quite a lot of foam on top- but pretty and tasted kinda like a fancy chocolate milk. I never usually like wasting money on a mocktail $8 for it- but was yummie. Might come back next time and try some of the food. Great ambience - clean and nice location and size - especially compared to some other places in the village.

We were told it would be a 20 minutes wait so I asked the hostess if we can sit at the bar and order a drink while we waited to be called. She told us if we did that, we would have to sit at the bar and can't be moved to the dining table. WTH?!? She said there's a wait for the bar seats but NOONE sat there. Makes no sense! We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drinks and food order and made great drinks for us. The rest of the staff looked so lost and ran around like they were busy but it wasn't even busy! On to the food, we ordered the burrata, buffalo chicken salad and blt. The burrata was ok. The buffalo salad had no dressing and the chicken was just tenders in buffalo sauce. It just didn't wow me. The BLT was the saddest looking BLT ever! The limp bacon and a small piece of Romain lettuce and sad tomatoes slopped together on focaccia bread. No mayo or any spread on the bread. It was dry and just sad! I was disappointed that the food wasn't spectacular like it was the first time we went. And lastly, please Print new menus. The crumpled menus looks terrible!
