They have really good specials for entrees and bottomless mimosas to burgers and beers. The chorizo skillet was okay, the cheese wasn't integrated with the potatoes so it just seemed like two separate things on top of each other. The cheeseburger was pretty good, tasted really fresh. Open for breakfast and lunch. Been here a few times and it would be average in price and quality. Staff are super nice and give you that down home small town feel. Opted for lunch this visit and ordered the chili size with extra chili on the fries. Was actually disappointed in the chili itself as it just seemed like a subpar canned chili. The Skillet too has been a staple in Hesperia and Phelan for many years. Now, you can't blame the owners who have been there 20+ years for Californias failed policies and the increase in homelessness surrounding the area. That is an unfair assessment of other reviews because like many places, the best food is in the ghettos and Californias state of affairs is pretty sad. Nonetheless, the food here is very clean, I personally have met the cooks as they come out and mingle with patrons, Kelly is always fun and enjoys joking around with others. They bring the life to the restaurant. My go to dish here is the taco skillet. If you want comfort food, order that! If you want to complain about price and cost, move out of California or don't buy what you can't afford. Don't blame the local restaurant owner for your lack of money. I'd love to see you complain about how much Flemmings cost in Rancho Cucamonga. read more

We found this place by chance one day after a drive out to Hesperia. The food is incredible to say the least. The kids absolutely love the giant ham steak and eggs and I'm in love with their pastrami sandwich and pastrami burger. Their pancakes are very delicious too. The ambiance is cozy and very casual, and the service is top notch. Everyone is friendly and courteous that works there. My absolute favorite thing about this place is the High Desert Maverick's Pennant hanging on the wall. Brings back much nostalgia from my childhood and shows me the owner is definitely a local. They take card but prefer cash! Also bring some quarters for the kids so they can get one of those sticky hands from the gum ball machine. Cheers! -Joshua read more

Food is always good. My husband and I have been 4-5 times. Friendly, nice presentation. Food is served hot, well prepared, hubby likes biscuits and gravy, I have tried pancakes really good. French toast , crispy bacon, good sausage. They now serve a bottomless mimosa ? Not my thing. Omelettes were good. Great Breakfast spot. I do wish some of the good spots would decide to stay open past 2 pm. read more

Great customer service the food portions were huge. The restaurant was tiny but perfect for a breakfast brunch spot and super clean .. the restrooms were amazingly clean and smelled awesome (fragrance was a fresh, clean linen scent). As soon as we walked in we were seating and asked would we like a drink and within 5 mins we had coffee and flavored creamer to drink while we reviewed the menu. I was glad they had turkey bacon as we don't eat pork. The food took a Lil time after we order however I realize when my playe was brought to the table.. they cook everything when u order it. So that made me happy knowing it was freshly made food. They don't season your eggs but u can have whatever you need to make the eggs taste good (salt, pepper, ketchup, hot sauce, etc.) The syrup and ketchup comes in a clean bottle . What I mean by clean is you can tell that they wipe down the bottles they know customer touch to keep the germs down. No residue on the caps or bottle . You can tell this place is big on staying clean and sanitary which why they have a A rating with the health dept.. if I come back this way I will definitely come here again for breakfast read more

Absolutely terrible. We've been here a few times, and the very first visit was positive. All of our orders were piping hot, fresh, and what you'll expect from a great dinner. But it must have been a fluke. Other times we're there, things gotten progressively worse. Dishes were served with missing items because they were out of them, and the last straw was when they've served us with dirty dishes. They are doing a great job loosing great paying customers. If you put this place in the middle of a country road, you would have the perfect country cafe. A small cafe but a lot of warm hospitality and real friendly service. The portions are so large, we usually have to split our orders or take some home. We have tried many different things here and I can't recall a time when we were ever disappointed. Skillet Too is only open for breakfast and lunch, but you can order lunch for breakfast or breakfast for lunch. Biscuits and gravy are excellent. Served on a ceramic skillet with two halves of a really large biscuit and gravy that is thick and flavorful. You get so much gravy you can't see the bottom of the plate. I know we all have different opinions, but I really back this place up with my five star review. ENJOY! read more

I have been going to this place for over 10 years and it is great. The staff is fun and friendly. The food is good coffee shop food. My Teenage grandson and his friends from school have started going there as well. It is always busy and they have a loyal following. They even open up early once a week to serve breakfast to a group of local business owners who have a weekly meeting there, they could go anywhere but they choose the Skillet 2 for their spot.
