Bacon Cheeseburger with Curly Fries

At first, you're honestly like... wait, how do I even get in here? It definitely gives hole-in-the-wall energy in the best way possible. But once you realize there's parking in the back, everything starts to make sense. This place is small but MIGHTY. The food? Always flavorful, always fresh, and never misses. You can tell everything is made with care. The service is top tier every single time. No bad days here. And the ambiance? It genuinely feels like you're eating at a friend's house. Super welcoming, super comfortable, just good vibes all around. The sisters who own this place clearly know what they're doing. You can feel the love and intention behind everything, and I'm rooting for them heavy. I'm not gatekeeping this spot at all. Imma shout it from the rooftops... EVERYONE in the High Desert needs to come here. The prices are worth it, the people are amazing, and the food is out of this world.

This place is quiet and cute. It's not a stand out location so you might miss the parking lot on the main street. There is parking and an entrance in the back. It's been open around 2 months. The food came out smoking hot. Literally smoke was coming off of it. The waitress is so welcoming and friendly. Looks like a nice date spot or a place to enjoy a family meal together. Little decorations throughout gives it a home feel. The food is delicious! Everything was cooked just right. We got meals to go. They cook bacon to my perfection! Not every place does. Often I have to send it back. I would recommend Leo's Country Cafe for the atmosphere, the great food, the acceptable pricing and the good energy the staff gives off.

Country combo a lot of food

This is a nice little breakfast place the waitress is Patty and a sweet doll. The food is a good American café I ordered the steak and eggs the banana bread, which was delicious. It was soft moist and the butter just added the right touch. Ordered the country combo with a side of hot links. The country combo is such a huge portion of food. If you're hungry I would order that it comes with a ham steak two sausages, two pieces of bacon, potatoes, eggs, and a pancake all for $18.99. That is a deal. The portion is huge. I also tried their biscuits and gravy, which were very delicious. The waitress patty gave me a little sample of the Menudo to me. It's not the best. It's a little too greasy and not enough of spices for me but not the worst I've had. But like I say, give it a try and you decide.

I tried this new place and honestly I've been back once more after. The country fried steak was delicious. I really liked it. It was very crunchy but not too hard and the gravy was the right portion for the size of the steak. The waffle was nice and fluffy. They warmed up the syrup and it just topped it off. Some fruit on the waffle would have been nice. The menudo was good but truthfully it had a little too much meat for me. I think the menudo needs just a little bit more flavor. It was good but it wasn't the best menudo I had from a restaurant. Their banana bread was a little too moist but very tasty. I think they needed to cook it just a little bit more. The following time I went I got a garden skillet and it wasn't my favorite... it felt like it was missing flavor. Overall, I would come back here for the country fried steak and try new things. The servers were very nice and helpful.

Chilaquiles

Food was absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was very attentive and kind! Would definitely come back! LOVED the chilaquiles and menudo.

Background: I'm an avid roadtripper and have never been to a Cracker Barrel in over 100 trips even…read morethough I would always see them at roadside exits. Until now. And I'm a new fan of an old favorite! The food is old timey, country style cooking. It never occurred to me until I tried it but this is the style of cooking that those tv dinners try to emulate, but this food is so much better. It won't win any culinary awards but the portions are huge, food is rib-stickingly satisfying, and it's a guarantee that you'll leave completely full and very likely with leftovers for the next day. The prices are pretty fair too- it was about $20 for a full dinner w 3 sides and 2 biscuits, which was about the same cost but twice the food as the meager fast food option I got the day prior. Between the two I would go for this place every time. It was so nice being on the road and having a real food option without breaking the bank

My husband wanted the Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes (brown gravy on the side) and green beans. The sides were the only things that tasted fresh. The chicken, was precooked, too breaded and reheated. My husband also wanted all dark meat, but the guy said he couldn't because it came in a bag? He ended up eating the two dark pieces and throwing the others away. I ordered the Rainbow Trout, broccoli and although I ordered a Sweet Potato, they gave me a white potato with everything. The trout was dry and not very flavorful. I threw the 2nd filet away. The Broccoli was delicious and cooked to perfection. The potato was a potato and not what I wanted. I won't be ordering dinner from Cracker Barrel again, however, I will still do dine in breakfast on occasion.

I know for next time to add myself to the waitlist online. We added ourselves when we arrived and the wait time was estimated at about an hour. We actually only waited about a half hour. You receive text message updates for when you should make your way to the host stand. Once you're called by the host, they already have your bread rolls and honey butter on hand as they walk you to your table. Marquis was our server for the night, and he took excellent care of us. He was so nice and made great recommendations. That loaded baked potato was the way to go; thank you, Marquis! I love that they still have the peanuts and bucket for the table. We went right for the rolls and honey butter and saved our peanuts for the road. For drinks we had the unsweetened iced tea, which was perfectly balanced. My husband had the fire cracker shrimp and the basket of ribs. The shrimp had a creamy, garlic taste, with a little kick. They were laid on top of potato strings. The ribs came with steak fries and were really tender. They indeed fell off the bone! I had the herb crusted chicken with the mac and cheese and loaded baked potato sides. This was the best and most tender chicken I've ever had! They roast a half lemon on the side for you to add, which is a nice touch. The Mac and cheese was a little too dry for me but the loaded baked potato was delicious. The food was killer and the service was top notch. We can't wait for our next trip so we can make another stop here.

Customer service is generally good as well. I've visited with larger groups of 8 and 6, as well as by myself. When I'm alone, everything tends to go smoothly. However, in larger groups, orders often get mixed up. For example, a burger ordered without cheese and tomato came with both and was missing lettuce. A steak requested well done came out pink. Chili beans were served as clam chowder, which I only noticed because of the color difference. I also asked for plain vanilla ice cream with no toppings, but it came with chocolate syrup. It seems like they focus on standard menu items and don't always accommodate modified orders accurately. That said, the food itself is always well cooked, presented nicely, and tastes good. The main issue is the consistency with larger group orders, which sometimes causes people to receive the wrong items and not eat at the same time.
