I eat at a lot of Subways while out on the road. The Subway in Phelan the footlongs are smaller not as thick, you have to beg to get a decent amount of toppings, have to keep reminding the girl what toppings I want or should be on it, she is not polite, does not greet customers the tuna foot longs are 4 scopes about a table spoon worth of tuna. and the price of a sandwich is higher at this location. gone there 3 times same girl. won't go there again. just sad. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Subway here in Phelan, CA on April 12 at 11:20. The staff member working that day was extremely rude and unprofessional. She barely acknowledged customers walking in, and when I tried to ask a simple question, she responded in a very dismissive and disrespectful way. On top of that, her attitude came off as careless and unclean, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. She was the only one working, and instead of trying to provide decent service, she seemed irritated that customers were even there. Overall, this was a very negative experience, and I would not recommend coming to this location if this is the kind of service being provided. I was the only customer in the restaurant and the young man was making two foot-long's from a phone order. He just started and I waited what seemed like 10 minutes and the people that ordered the sandwich came in and he took the time to check them out. About the time he finally finished another. Customer walked in and someone from the back room walked out to service the counter. She helped me with my sandwich, but suddenly the kid making the two sandwich sandwiches all of a sudden decided to work faster since his boss was there and he was able to make the new customer sandwich and have him pay before my sandwich was ever done. So I've been into the subway a couple times. Usually the staff is very friendly. The food is pretty good, but I came today and the lady that helped me named windy give me such a bad attitude. She just look like she didn't wanna be there. She needs to change her attitude and be friendlier. I'll get it not everybody wants to work, but can't be given attitude to customers. I don't know if I'll be coming back because of her she needs to change her attitude or they need to train her better with customer service other than that the other girl that was with her the younger girl she was pretty friendly and the food always good. Worst customer service EVER!!! GET YOUR SH*T straight really. You are employees so act like it. I placed an order online!, my husband went to pick up. It was under his name and everything!. They told him, we don't have an order for your name. So he called me and he asked if I did place the order, which I did I have screen shots! And I told him yes, I did. Not worth the money. We put everything in the Sandwich other than spinach and it looks no where like the pictures they put out. The last time we had to dig to find one little piece of bacon we had ordered extra. When we called them, the manager said they are told of how much meat they can put in the Sandwich. When I straight out asked him if this low quality Sandwich is what they want to put out as their best, he just said the same thing about being told how much they can put in. My intent is not to be rude, but the customer service sucks. I overheard an employee speaking to a short lady and overheard that she was the manager. When this lady made my sandwich she spoke to me so aggressively and it was very evident she disliked her job. Her name is Wendy or windy, regardless watch put for her. Went there this morning and was overcharged for the breakfast combo. Sign said $5.99 and was overcharged. Walked right before they closed 7:59pm. The door was still unlocked and neon open sign still on. There was only 2 workers inside talking by the cash register (looked like one of them was training the other) I walked to start of the line and was ready to request my order starting with the bread ofcourse. The lady looked at her watch and said "it's 8pm the store is closed" even though I was already inside and their door still unlocked and open sign still on. I thought she was joking because I looked at the food supplies and they were all still out and nothing put away. Yet they didn't move and said "sorry" and went back to what they were doing. So I walked out and the lady followed by turning off the open neon sign and locking the door. I'm not mad just kinda weirded out that a business wouldn't accept a customer 1 min before closing. I really like this subway. The servers are attentive and friendly and their food is always fresh. This place is shockingly clean considering its location so they without question deserved their "A" health rating. I'm usually not a "subway guy" because I feel their bread in general could use a little more body and volume to it. Perhaps they've tweaked the recipe slightly now so when you take half a sandwich home it doesn't turn into a disgusting milky mess a couple hours later. All in all I feel this is by far the best bang for your buck in Phelan. $11 bucks and change and I can get a 12" ham and a 6" BMT for my girl and I and it's genuinely good and filling. Oh, I almost forgot, I don't drink soda and I don't like chips all that much and they never try to pressure you into the meal when you only order a sandwich. Great job!!!! read more

Wonderful customer service!!!! Honestly the best customer service of the food places around as well as the best subway customer service of the high desert. We ordered 6 foot-longs and all were kind of difficult and different and they were very patient and kind. The employees that assisted us were Nancy and Filiberto. I highly recommend this location. Soggy sandwiches do not use for catering. We recently used them to cater our baby shower. They said the sandwiches are made fresh and ready by 10:30am. We picked up at that time and everyone ate at 11:30am. We were super embarrassed because half the guests didn't want to eat due to the bottom of the sandwiches being so soggy you would think they were soaked in water. Ive been going to subway for years abd always buy sandwiches the night before I go on a fishing trip, refrigerate them, then they sat on ice the next day and they have never been soggy. We bought 2 massive trays that cost $120 and only 1 tray was eaten due to disatisfaction by our guests. We wont be going to this location again I believe that the sandwiches were made days prior. read more

I'm a regular at this Subway, and they usually provide great service. They recently started a bunch of new promotions and upsells at checkout, and this has slowed things down. Today it took 20 minutes to get to the counter at a busy time because of all the extra time at the cash register. I am no longer a regular, and will avoid this subway in the future due to the shortsightedness of the owner/district manager. read more
