I sent him so many pictures of different alcohols and ingredients, just to make sure it was what we needed and he always responded within a few minutes, which I REALLY appreciated since I was already at the store. For the cocktails, Efrain sent me a list to choose from but I was also able to add a drink that wasn't on the list. We also changed some of the cocktails we originally chose and he was happy to adjust. All of the drinks were really good!!! And everyone at the wedding LOVED Scooby Snack so I definitely recommend that one! During the wedding, a few of the groomsmen also requested different drinks that wasn't on the list we had but Efrain was happy to make it for them. My husband and I were so busy the entire time of the wedding so we didn't get to talk to him and his team but all my guests said they were wonderful. He even played songs that related to the speeches without any prior planning or knowing what would be said. For example, my aunt gave a speech that mentioned Barney, and he played the "I Love You" Barney song, getting the entire room--over 100 people--singing along together. It was magical, unforgettable, and unlike anything I've ever experienced. My wife's sister mentioned the movie Grease in her speech, and right when she finished, he played a song from Grease. We even sent him some random YouTube versions of songs, and he incorporated them seamlessly into the day. Beyond the music, DJ Nimo brought valuable experience and guidance. He offered expert suggestions for the flow of the wedding, many of which we implemented and absolutely loved. It felt like he genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible. One thing that really stood out was his ability to read and engage the crowd. For about 90 minutes, many of our guests were outside enjoying the beautiful views at The Thursday Club, yet DJ Nimo kept the dance floor alive the entire time. We were told there were consistently people out there dancing, even while much of the crowd was mingling outdoors. When Lauren and I joined the dance floor for the final 30 minutes of the night, the energy was incredible. DJ Nimo had everyone engaged, played many of our favorite songs, and created an atmosphere that was fun, exciting, and memorable. The dance floor was packed, and the celebration ended on a perfect note. DJ Nimo helped make our wedding even better than we imagined. We booked SBL to do the entire lighting for our wedding at South Park Center in DTLA and we could not be happier with their work! Right off the bat, we could tell Angel has a passion for lighting and that he genuinely loves what he does. He doesn't just throw up the lights and walk away. He personally controls the lights throughout the entire event to create a unique light show that dynamically reacts to the moment -- think of him as a professional DJ for lighting. We've talked to a lot of lighting vendors but have not seen anyone else offer anything like it. From the initial meeting, through signing the contract, to the actual event and all the way until takedown, Angel has been nothing but extremely professional. He even personally took the initiative to overcome some crucial last minute logistical hurdles we encountered with the venue, which saved us a ton of headaches during the week of the big day. In terms of equipment, we booked 4 intelligent moving heads on 5ft light-up trusses for the main dancefloor, along with 24 LED up-lights for the rest of the event space per Angel's recommendation. During reception at sunset, 2 heads acted as spotlights while the others projected an elegant spinning pattern on the ceiling. Once the sun went down and the dance floor opened up, we were completely blown away by how all the lights worked together to transform the venue into a high-end nightclub in the sky. We were especially impressed by how the lights came alive under Angel's control - from the way they aptly adapted to various activities of the evening, to how they reacted dynamically to the changing beat of the music to create an electrifying atmosphere. It's impossible to describe how good the lights looked, so I've uploaded a few videos of them in action - hopefully they show up. Similar to another reviewer, we were initially going to cheap out on lights, but we are so glad we listened to Angel and booked the equipment he recommended. It was easily one of the best decisions we've made for the wedding. I'm honestly shocked that SBL isn't fully booked 6 months out because they are such a hidden gem for their caliber of work for what they're charging. Many other lighting vendors quoted us 1.5-2x for similar packages, and I doubt they could've done it better. Lastly, thank you again to Angel at SBL for helping make our dream wedding become a reality!
