DJ Chris Anthony is such an amazing DJ. He is sooooo friendly and easy to work with. My fiancé was searching for a DJ for weeks, trying to find someone who fit our taste in music and knew how to mix music to keep the party going. Once we heard the Cocktail Mix on his website, it was a no-brainer - we HAD to get in contact with him ASAP. Once we reached out to him, everything was smooth-sailing from there. He is extremely professional, answers any and all of your questions in a very timely fashion, and is just so damn good at what he does. Even my wedding coordinator halfway through the reception randomly came up to us and asked where we had found him (she was highly impressed by his professionalism, how easy he was to work with, and he was just so good at being our MC). That was just another sign to further validate what an amazing DJ he is. I would highly, highly, highly recommend him. Look him up! You will not be disappointed. We recently used Chris for my husband's 40th birthday!!!! I was very specific about the music for dancing and frankly worried if I should just make the list of songs we wanted played because we have witnessed some really terrible djs. All I can say is Chris is everything you want for a packed dance floor!!!! He was so great about listening to what we were going for, he read the room very well, and he had the best playlist! DJ Chris Anthony is a gracious, helpful and get-the-party going DJ! My husband and I are particular about our music; we like discovering new music and wanted our guests to shake-their-booty the whole wedding! So finding the perfect DJ to accommodate our needs was very important to us. Researching DJs: We started researching 6 months prior to our wedding date. DJ Chris Anthony was a preferred vendor for our venue (Hotel Seven4One, Laguna Beach, Ca; our venue had strict policy that requires the music to be done at a specific time). We reviewed several DJs online and I narrowed it down to 3 vendors to speak with based on online reviews and their websites. After speaking with each vendor, we chose Chris because of his previous experience DJ'ing at larger venues in LA and Vegas; he would know how to read a crowd and have great taste in music. All vendors had great testimonials; however, Chris was local, independent and had the experienced we liked. He also worked with us to meet our budget. We didn't feel like we were being pushed packages that we really didn't need. Pre-wedding: We had 1 face-to-face meeting with Chris for him to get to know us and our music styles. He provided a worksheet to help us think about the different music that would be needed throughout the ceremony and wedding. The husband and I also trained really hard for our first dance, which was a hip-hop montage. Chris helped suggest music for our dance and even edited our dance music a bit to make it sound smoother. For the music decisions we got stuck on, Chris help suggest songs that were crowd pleasers that fit with our party atmosphere. He also followed up with us to make sure we were on track for our wedding day! Wedding day: Chris showed up on time and started setting up. He received compliments from the guests and the team at Hotel Seven4One, our venue. They really enjoyed working with Chris whenever he DJ'd one of their weddings. When the reception started, I think most of the guests danced the night away. I could hardly pull myself off the dance floor. Chris even got my 80 year old grandma dancing, ha! Overall, if you are looking for a DJ who is personable, fun and has great experience keeping the crowd going and entertained--Chris is your guy. I'm a videographer with over 8 years experience in the wedding industry, and I take note of exceptional vendors when we cross paths from time to time. I had the opportunity to work with Chris Anthony last weekend, and he definitely falls into that category. We spoke over the phone a few days before the event to ensure that everybody was on the same page, and I was able to record an audio line from his sound board with no problem at all. Sometimes DJs are caught off guard when I ask to record a copy of their audio for the client's video. Chris knew exactly what I needed and the recording came out perfect. Beyond that, he was very helpful giving the vendors a heads up before moving forward with formalities of the reception. It's very important for videographers in particular to be rolling cameras as announcements are made, and you would be surprised how many DJs I meet that either forget, or don't care. One other thing worth mentioning is that he stuck to the itinerary, and didn't blast the audio too loud as so many DJs seem to think they should. The bottom line is, Chris Anthony was not only good at his job, but you could tell that he actually cared. We may all carry copies of the wedding itinerary, but the person holding the microphone is the one who actually sets things in motion. As a vendor in another category, I appreciate DJs who not only respect the itinerary, but give us that much appreciated heads-up as it all unfolds. DJ Chris Anthony is amazing! He was referred to me through a friend of a friend while I was planning our wedding last year. My husband and I had very specific idea of what sort of DJ and entertainment we were looking for. First and foremost FUN. We love to dance and we knew that the DJ would set the tone for the event. When it comes to finding a DJ for the wedding I became a groomzilla. I am a big music junkie and I know what I like and what I don't like. I did a lot of searching trying to find the right DJ for the right price. We wanted a wedding but with a party feel. So after searching for a long time and talking to a lot of vendors I came across DJ Chris Anthony. He was very fast to respond. He was very open to untraditional wedding that we were having. He wanted to meet with us and discussed what we wanted. That's where I knew I like this guy. Then I listen to his wedding mix and was sold (I still listen to it at the gym). I was very detailed in the music I would like played and he was very open to all of my suggestions always reminding me that it was our day and that he just wants to do it right. Fast forward to the wedding. He really put on a great show. He played a great mix of songs that keep everybody on the dance floor and help with the flow of speeches and toast. To be honest I could not have asked for a better DJ. He is extremely professional, patient and know how to have a good time. If we ever have any other type of event this is the guy I am going to call. If you're looking for a DJ you will not be sorry working with him. You will be sorry if you do not work with him.
