TLDR; DJ Leon Lee is amazing!! We had a fantastic experience finding a DJ through Vox DJs. After submitting an inquiry, we received a neat price breakdown PDF which outlined the package pricing for their different tiers of DJ/MC services. After reviewing their DJ profiles, we knew we had to go with Leon Lee (aka DJ Leon de La $co) because his music taste and vibes were exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to have Leon be our DJ/MC for our wedding in San Diego. He brought the BEST energy and vibes to the party. Personally as I'm on the shyer/introverted side I was anxious about the dance floor leading up to the wedding but Leon's professionalism and experience really shined, because it was a massive success! Leon worked his magic and even some of our shyest friends were on the dance floor dancing and singing the night away. We loved that he was also familiar with k-pop and j-pop. In addition to the DJ side of Leon, I'd like to give a huge shout out to his MC skills because he seriously brought life to our grand entrance script, which would not have the same epic impact had it been MCed by anyone else that night. It made me realize who you choose to MC your event is so so important. His energy was contagious and he knew exactly how to hype the crowd up during key announcements throughout the night. Having the ability to hype up a crowd but also not sound forced or unnatural is seriously a talent/skill that's hard to master. Leon was also very flexible when we had last minute changes and ideas, but he was happy to jump right onto them. My husband and I just got married this past Friday, and we had the pleasure of working with DJ Leon Lee, and he was fantastic! From the very beginning, VOX DJs has been really good at responding to emails timely and answering all of our questions. From what I recall, their prices were really reasonable too! They had a good selection of DJs to choose from, and they also had other services you could add on (lighting, photobooth, etc.), so booking them was an easy choice! What was extremely helpful during the planning process too, was their step-by-step guide of what parts of the wedding we had to pick music for, along with a Spotify playlist of some options/examples of music we could pick. That, along with our consultation with our selected DJ, really helped my husband and I narrow down our music! On the day of our wedding, we got compliments from several guests about our playlist during cocktail hour/dinner, as well as how good our DJ was at transitioning the music on the dance floor! 5 stars to our DJ, Jimi Haze! He was an incredible DJ who did a fantastic job of DJ-ing our wedding and keeping the party going for all ages. Our guests loved him and we greatly appreciated his emceeing skills. He was also very responsive to our emails and music choices. HOWEVER, I'm knocking a star off since we had a disappointing and frustrating time working with VOX. We had originally selected a different DJ 6 months before our wedding. We hadn't heard any updates about an initial meeting with our DJ until we reached out a few weeks before the wedding. That's when we found out that our DJ had been changed without anyone informing us. We called to figure out what happened and were told that our original DJ left the company months ago and no one had bothered to tell us. We received a defensive and condescending response and we were told that "they didn't want to stress the bride out and if they had a sister, they would make the decision without telling them." Like many of the reviews here are saying, we would have appreciated transparency rather than excuses. We're not upset with the fact that the DJ was changed on us - while it's not ideal, we understand that it's out of VOX's control. HOWEVER, what was in their control is how they handled it. It's disappointing and frustrating that they didn't tell us the situation until literally the weeks leading up to our wedding. If you are looking for a wedding DJ, ask for Makai from Vox! Makai was the most wonderful emcee and DJ for our big day. He was so kind and fun to work with. We told him that our my main goal was to have everyone out on the dance floor at least once -- we wanted that dance floor to be a celebration that just wouldn't stop. He delivered -- he read the room perfectly, playing a variety of different jams from oldies, hip hop, rap, 90s rock, and honestly, just good bops. For many reasons of course (but particularly bc of the dance floor), one of the best nights of my life. In fact, our dance floor somehow turned into karaoke, and Makai totally went with it - playing bop after bop, even providing us with a microphone to wail Bohemian Rhapsody and other melodies. Looking for a DJ for our wedding and we picked a specific DJ we loved because of her video but then they ended up changing DJ's on us. We ended up having to deal with KC Campbell and I can tell you that my Apple Watch ended up calling 911 because I was punching the air after talking to him and it thought I was involved in an accident of some sort. From the first time we spoke to Rob about booking a DJ to the night of our wedding reception with Rigel making the party happen, VOX DJs was a pleasure to work with. For my wife and I, we knew that picking the right DJ was very important to us since we wanted our wedding to be fun for everyone from our friends to our grandparents. We were looking into many different vendors for our wedding and had no idea who to go with. That was before we went to an event that Rigel was the DJ at. He had some fun dance songs and some more popular songs toward the beginning of the night that had everyone at the event movin' and groovin' and then he smoothly transitioned into more funky and hip hop songs. I love to feel people out and when we chatted with Adrian he totally vibed well with me & my husband. My husband was all about 90's hip hop and though I love me some 90's hip hop, I also needed the Latin jams for my side of the family. He was great! My favorite part about weddings is the dancing! I was looking for recommendations for an MC/DJ when I was planning my October 2017 wedding and one of my fellow bride to be's told me to about VOX DJs. They happened to be a preferred vendor at our venue so I decided to check them out. Their phone and email correspondence is amazing! Their website is incredibly user friendly and we had a great time getting to know the DJs and what makes them all special and unique. We ultimately hired Ricky Hayes and could not be happier with our decision! He was super nice, professional, confident, energetic, and played a lot of great music based on our personal playlists and overall mood we were going for. Our guests had such a great time and the dance floor was never empty. It was great seeing my husband's 80+ year old grandma bust a move! In addition to our DJ package we also added a photobooth with scrapbook for an incredibly reasonable price. I highly recommend doing this. We had 200 guests attending and our biggest priority for the wedding was to make sure our guests were having fun and were on the dance floor all night! DJ Rob made THAT happen! If you are considering booking this company for your wedding DONT. I felt like I was a pretty easy going bride. I didn't care about the decorations or about the flower arrangements I just said I just wanted good food, good drinks, and good music. The drinks and food were amazing but the music was absolutely trash thanks to VOX DJ. First of all we booked with a Dj named Caleb and he seemed great and seemed like the perfect DJ for our wedding. He had good energy and seemed really excited for my wedding. He gave us sheets to fill out asking and told us to fill out the timeline for the music and create playlist of things he want to play, the songs we chose for the ceremony, etc and said we would go over everything again 4 weeks before the wedding. Well 4 weeks come and still nothing from them so we reach out. We get a response from someone else saying to schedule the 4 week meeting with SHAWN to go over the final details. We were confused and said I thought we booked with CALEB. They said "oh yes you did but Caleb was in an accident and broke his leg so he won't be available so we booked Shawn for you". I understand accidents happen but shouldn't you reach out to us and explain that? Versus us reach out and not explain the situation to us and maybe hoping we wouldn't notice the name change? Anyways I have a virtual meeting with Shawn he seems nice but really uninterested in the wedding. I showed him the songs I wanted and the sheets I filled out for him. I explained time frames of songs I wanted played and who would be walking out to what song etc. He explained he understood and that he would be working hard the week of the wedding to get it perfect and would call me if he had any questions. Well he never called our reached out so I figured everything was good since he never said anything. Well on the wedding day I'm waiting to walk down the aisle. The groom is about to start walking down the aisle and I hear MY WALK DOWN THE AISLE SONG PLAYING. I turn to my dad and say "dad that's my song". By that point it was too late. My wedding party had their own song to walk out to and it got even worse. We had flower boys and to make it funny we were going to have them walk out to Fergalicious and throw flowers and alcohol shooters. Well the DJ decided to have all my bridal party walk out to Fergalicious. My bridal party was so confused but still walked out super uncomfortable because of the song that played. To make things worse by the time the flower boys were going to walk the song ended half way down the aisle and he played another song. By the time it was my turn to walk down the aisle he decided to play the song that my groom was suppose to walk out too. By then I figured there's nothing I could do but walk down that aisle. I don't think people understand how much time it takes to find the perfect songs to for the ceremony. I spent months perfecting it. I loved my song I chose to walk down the aisle. I would sit in my car and play it and picture myself walking down the aisle and getting emotional but this Company ruined it for me. On top of fucking up the entire ceremony my mom and officiant pulled him aside and said I needed to talk to him. Right before the grand entrance I asked him what happened and he apologized and said he got confused. I said there was no excuse for what happened he took such a special moment away from me. I let him know to please pay attention for the rest of the music because I had a certain song and time frames for the first dance, father daughter and mother son dance. Guess what he messed up parts of those too. After that the party started and to be honest he was just plain awful. The music sucked. A few days later I reached out to the company and all they said was I'm sorry. We spent a good amount of money and all we got was an apology. I just got my wedding ceremony video back today and I hate it. I hate hearing Fergalicious as my bridal party walks out. I hate that my husband is walking out to my song and I'm walking out to his song. I hate everyone's confused faces in the crowd. I can never fix this moment. read more

VOX DJs is AMAZING!! They are so professional and really did a great job at our wedding. My wife and I booked our DJ, Jarom and the Photobooth as well as a package deal. Jarom is so fun! He has so much energy, that he was perfect for us. He's a great MC and during the dancing, you can find him on the dance floor showing people some moves. He definitely has the experience and professionalism that made us go with VOX DJs. They make it so easy for you to choose your DJ. There are multiple DJs on their website and each one has a little promo video that was pretty cool. After watching a few, we knew we had to go with Jarom because his personality is very close to ours. He was very early to our venue and stayed til the very end. So much fun, I'm glad we went with Jarom and VOX DJs for our wedding!! We would highly recommend to anybody that's looking for a fun wedding. read more

Leon Lee from VOX was the perfect DJ for us. He was super communicative up front to understand our music taste and vision for the wedding, but we knew we could trust him to flex with music as needed to keep energy up throughout the night, and he delivered! We had to make a last minute adjustment to our first dance to fit a logistics challenge and he smoothly handled the transition. Super professional, great energy, and an all around good guy.
