We hired Daniel in October 2024 for our June 2025 wedding and he was amazing every step of the way! His communication has been clear and consistent, listened to what we wanted played and when, and nailed all our songs we chose for each section we needed. He was hyped, kept the energy going all night, and had everyone on the dance floor ALL night! I definitely recommend using Daniel for your DJ for your wedding, elopement, celebration party of any kind, etc. He was amazing to work with! read more

My husband and I hired Daniel to DJ our wedding this past January and it was one of the best decisions that we made in our crazy and hectic planning process! Daniel made everything so easy and stress-free for us. He was our DJ and MC for both our ceremony and reception. During our ceremony his timing and cues were perfect, everything turned out beautifully. Daniel was so responsive anytime I had any questions and I like how he specifically asked what types of music we did/didn't want played. All of our guests loved the music and he kept everyone dancing all night long. He definitely knew how to keep the party going! For any future parties/events I will be reaching out to Daniel, he was great to work with. Thank you Daniel for being a part of our day! read more

I met Daniel at a wedding I worked and loved his vibe. He was so easy going and played all of the jams I liked that most DJs generally don't play. He was punctual and easy to work with , being able to follow our timeline and work with our day of coordinator. A very special ask from the groom was to do a groomsmen entrance to the Michael Jordan bulls entrance song . Boy did Daniel deliver! Had so much fun! So thankful we hired Daniel! read more

I recently hired Daniel to DJ my 30th birthday party and let me tell you!!! He is amazing! One of the highlights from the night that has all my guests still talking about how great the DJ was!! Daniel is so professional, so kind, and has that vibe telepathy that is can be so hard to find. You know, that vibe telepathy where someone can read the party and knows exactly how to keep the atmosphere at 100%! Another one of Daniel's strengths is that he is so versatile! He keeps your party engaged with the range of music he is able to provide and that is so important! Daniel was so kind to help with any announcements that we needed to make during the party and made the announcements with such care and authentic enthusiasm! Daniel is a great communicator and it helped ease any nervousness that comes with finding a DJ! I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DJ DANIEL JAMEZZZ. read more

DJ Daniel Jamez was the best! He has a talent of reading the room and playing the perfect music that keeps guests dancing. There wasn't any awkward lulls during our reception because of him. He's very easy to work with and quick to respond. Weddings are make or break depending on who you pick as your DJ so we are SOOOO happy we chose DJ Daniel. Hire him! You won't regret it! read more

Daniel is one of the best. He feels the vibe of the room and intuitively knows what's needed. He's hosted several of our global events with leaders that are at the top of their game. Daniel excelled every time with our community. I highly recommend Daniel. read more

When you're hosting an event, you know what it feels like to have a clipboard and a checklist with so many details that need to be handled. From my experience: when it comes to the DJ, hire Daniel Jamez and check that off your list. Daniel Jamez has been my go-to DJ for a lot of years. He's the perfect mix of a professional you can count on but also someone who is going to make the party fun. Part of what I like about him is his authenticity. When he plays, there's a realness to how he's genuinely having a good time, and I think that makes a difference. You almost need to have a sixth sense to create the right atmosphere, and he's got it. This might not apply to everyone, but Daniel has also been great in a few different family-friendly settings. He has a great knowledge of old-school jams that fit any occasion/audience. In summary, all you really need to do is check out his mustache. I think that answers any questions about the level of excellence he'll bring to your event. Thank you Daniel! read more

Amazing DJ and hilarious host. Made our party so much fun and we've booked him for several events. Always professional and great to work with. 10/10 read more

We have had Daniel DJ almost every important event in my family's life for the last 7 years. I have also used him to DJ our school dances as well. Daniel is excellent as a dj/host for any event. For my daughter's quince this past year he connected with me multiple times prior to the event to talk schedules, song selection, pronunciation of names, and everything in between. He had all the necessary equipment and when security at the venue came up and told him he had to move to another spot he didn't complain or get frustrated at all but willingly moved everything and kept the party going. He is an incredible DJ and your event will guarantee to be success. I cannot recommend him enough. read more

We signed a contract with DJ Jamez based on the wonderful reviews here on Yelp. At first it was difficult to track him down. Emails weren't answered quickly, a phone call never came, but finally we managed to get him to chat with us one evening. Needless to say, we were thrilled that he agreed to DJ our wedding. I requested a contract so that we'd be locked in, and he assured me several times that we were booked and that he was looking forward to working our wedding. Twelve days before our event on 10/13--12, yes TWELVE--he calls me in the middle of the day, and I remember my heart sinking into my stomach when he said "Um, do you have a moment?" He then told me that his brother informed him that he would be getting married on the same day that we were, that he just found out, and that he had to pull out of our contract. You can imagine my reaction. I tried to stay calm, but anyone in my situation would have felt the same: angry, disappointed, hurt, frantic. I also found it hard to believe that his brother informed him of his wedding plans less than two weeks out. Even if this was true, to pull out of an event so close to the actual event was unforgivable. Yes, he did find a backup for us and yes that person was perfectly fine as a DJ, but Daniel caused all sorts of unnecessary work and anxiety for us at the last minute. Daniel, we trusted you. We asked you again and again to confirm and you did. We even asked for a contract and paid you a deposit, neither of which you offered/asked for. We are good people and you put us between a rock and a hard place. At less than two weeks out, we had no choice but to go with your backup. And that wasn't fair to us as clients. Grooms and brides, there's really no way to avoid something like this, as even if you sign a contract, it's designed to protect the DJ, not the client. But if your gut is telling you something's off, it probably is. Listen to it. read more

Daniel is awesome! We hired him for our wedding based on a recommendation from our wedding coordinator, and we're so happy with how he handled everything. He has great style and taste in music. This makes a huge difference in how he prepares for the event. He was a great listener and collaborator. He understood our style and made sure the music selection was on point. He also handled the flow of our ceremony and reception well. He's easy to work with, professional and prompt. He was a big part of our special day and we highly recommend him. Thank you, Daniel! read more

This man, is the man with the plan. You NEED this guy at your wedding! He brings so much energy and a great atmosphere to the whole night. Plays the best music and is a wonderful host and coordinator. He helped me and my wife with everything we needed to the T. Not to mention all of our friends and family were telling us personally how great of a DJ and cool of a person he is. This man is worth every penny! Beyond thankful for this guy. Wow - not even sure how to start here. My review will honestly go on for pages and pages if I could, but I know people only read a few sentences haha. Daniel was just incredible. From the moment we signed on to work together, he was nice, responsive, and you could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. He loved all of the songs and music we selected and knew all of it already. The day of the wedding, he arrived early and with all kinds of equipment, ready to go. He got along with all of the vendors, was flexible in where he was placed, and everybody told me how awesome he was to work with. When the music started, Daniel was on top of it. He knew when to play the right music (oldies during dinner to keep things light and easy for the old folks at the wedding; party and dance music as the night went on and the old people filtered out but the young crowd stuck around). He knew exactly when to fade the music so there were no awkward transitions (like when the father daughter dance should end, and then the mother son dance). He had the volume at exactly the right place - you could hear the music throughout the venue but you didn't have to yell at each other when talking. He took requests and made announcements throughout the night. He pronounced everybody's name exactly right (and we had some tough ones), and he was thanking me for having him there!! I'm the one thanking him - I will ALWAYS hire Daniel to DJ my events. I wish I could get married every weekend just so I could use his services again and again, but I know I'll have other events (birthdays, anniversary parties) and I will immediately call Daniel. My dad, who is extremely hard to please with music, also loved Daniel. My dad grew up in the "musician" era of the 60s and the 70s...he went to live concerts, events and parties had live bands in attendance, he grew up playing guitar, so he's hard to convince when you say you'll be getting a DJ. But he pulled me aside the day after the wedding and said he thought Daniel was absolutely phenomenal and did a great job. Hire Daniel now! You won't be disappointed. read more

Daniel was hands down the BEST PART OF OUR WEDDING! Daniel DJ'd our wedding in December of 2016. We initially heard Daniel at a friend's wedding and we immediately fell in love with him! Daniel made my wedding! We received so many compliments on him. My husband is a musician and was very particular about who would be in charge of our music. He agrees that Daniel was an excellent choice. Pros: -Daniel is professional and responds to you in a timely manner. - He does not pressure you. - He meets with you and listens to your needs. - He does an excellent job incorporating YOUR music taste into YOUR wedding - Aside from being a DJ, he is a musician, and understands music on another level - His charisma and tact make him an incredible MC who knows how to work a crowd. - Never an awkward moment, never a dull moment - He is passionate about music and about making your day special and fun! Cons: - Im sorry but I have no complains and nothing but good things to say about this man. As an ex-wedding coordinator, I've done dozens of weddings and encountered a multitude of vendors. Daniel is by far ONE OF THE BEST DJ's in the OC. You will NOT REGRET booking him! read more

Daniel DJ'd our wedding and we couldn't be happier with our experience! He was soooo much fun, very professional, and knew exactly when to transition genres, and not to mention he's an amazing MC! He worked our ceremony and reception and it all went so smoothly!! We had met prior to the wedding and told him the music we liked and he totally nailed every part of it. From the music playing as guests arrived to the last dance it was all awesome and everyone had a blast!! A ton of different people came up to us complimenting him and asking for his information which was super rad! Needless to say, Daniel is incredible and will be sure to make you feel welcomed and keep the dance floor going! My husband and I got married on 4/22/2017, and DZYD was incredible! I had seen/heard him at a Halloween event, approached him about our wedding, and he was quick to respond! Daniel is incredibly easy to work with, and our guests were quick to comment that the DJ was on-point! He worked with us to get a feel for what our music preferences were, and it was noticeable throughout the night. It should also be noted that Daniel is also an MC, and his voice is perfect for it. Our wedding had minimal programming, just an entrance, speeches, and first dance, but his voice is PERFECT for MC'ing. We 100% recommend DZYD to everyone, and if any of our friends ask for wedding advice/recommendations, DZYD will be at the top of the list! - Tammy & Jason read more

My fiancee and I interviewed 3 different DJs for our wedding. We chose Daniel because he listened to what we wanted and was willing to work with us in developing a custom play list. Also, he was not high pressure and did not try to "up sell" us. We also had Daniel do the sound for the pastor and our MC. The day of the wedding, Daniel did a Great Job! He had the playlist we were looking for (even though some of the songs were somewhat hard to find), he was punctual, professional, calm and just easy to work with. We received several compliments from our guests about the Great Job Daniel did. I will definitely use Daniel again for any events where I need a DJ and would highly recommend him! read more

So grateful to have him as our MC on our wedding in April. I'm not an organizer whatsoever so I was glad that he just knew the questions to ask and everything was set and offered suggestions when we were stuck. We just told him just kind of songs we wanted and throughout the wedding I kept telling my husband, I love this song! All in all, I would recommend him. The price was great as well! read more

We chose Daniel as our DJ for our wedding two months ago. He was one of the best vendors we hired; my husband and I were extremely satisfied with the outcome of it all. From the beginning he was easy to work with and heard all of our needs/wants; we could tell that he genuinely wanted to have the best outcome for our wedding. The day of the our wedding he went nothing short from above and beyond and even created a customized song for my entrance down the aisle. Our guests loved him, he was such a great MC & just pretty much kept he night going. All of my guests were on the dance floor at one point! Daniel does such an incredible job being a DJ. He did my wedding a month ago and was awesome! He keeps the night moving and the music was always tasty and fun! He understands the various elements of the reception and the music was appropriate for each part. We loved dancing to his tunes. He didn't play the whole song like some DJs do so it was always fresh and exciting. We had a blast and totally recommend him. He's got a great personality and is easy to work with.
