This review is long over-due, as Angel and his team were the MC and DJ for our wedding back in 2013. Since then my husband has used his services for work events, and only has had positive experiences. Even though it has been years, I STILL get compliments on Angel's fun, thoughtful, and humorous MC skills and great music selection. I refer him to all my wedding-planning friends, because Angel truly cares and wants to make your event special. He was able to cajole our wedding guests in to participating in the Newly Wed game, our first dance, and entire-group picture with positivity and kindness. His Newly Wed game questions were appropriate but entertaining, and got lots of laughter out of both participants and other guests. He was easily able to handle the crowd. Our wedding was Amazing! I feel that the most under rated and overlooked piece of a great event is a good MC that will keep the crowed engaged, make them laugh and ultimately break the ice and get them to dance. What to say about Angel and Just Imagine? I have planned both a wedding and a company anniversary with Angel and both times have been clear of snags or hiccups. For anyone considering him, a few bulletpoints I think will be important. * Confirms the tone/feel of your event before discussing any options or plans. * Always happy to provide extra services, but only if you ask for them. * Easy to work with and comfortable during the day-of coordination, never harried. My wife and I wanted a laid back wedding reception, games and MC relaxed and fun. Our crowd ended up being a bit shy (to the point of lying when he asked who had been married 20+ years) so Angel changed things up to bring more life into the crowd and make sure everyone was having a good time. The corporate event went well; Angel provided music, lighting, and tables with linens. First and foremost, despite always relying on reviews I rarely write them. Usually only when a company goes way above and beyond do I take the time to write. And man did JI Entertainment go above and beyond. My wife and I (ok fine mostly my wife) began planning our daughter's first birthday 3 months after she was born. We both work in Advertising so we've both been trained to pay attention to minute details and obsess over things like color palettes, design, presentation, etc. It's because of that we tend to do everything ourselves and prefer not to rely on planners/vendors for help. However, between a new job, hectic travel schedules and, well, a new little one we decided to hire out the planning & details of our party. We started by contacting about 10 event planners, venues, etc. to see what was out there, get ballpark costs and feel out different providers. At first pass, we were very disappointed with what was out there. In instances where we contacted venues directly and spoke to their planners most had a 'take it or leave it' attitude. It was their space and their rules - no wiggle room for negotiation or creativity. e.g. we liked one venue but wanted some alternative lighting and asked if we could bring in heaters and they wouldn't allow it. As for the planners we were surprised to learn that despite many of them claiming to be full-service they all just specialized in one to two things. e.g. catering and/or just decor. So we reached out to some friends & colleagues - one of which had used JI for both a wedding and a Sweet 15 party. After our first call with Angel we knew we had our guy. He told us a little about his capabilities and process, but mostly asked questions about what we envisioned for our daughter's party and the type of event we wanted to put together. From that point forward it was an amazing and flawless experience. Whatever idea we threw at Angel he had a solution. In the end, based on all the variables he actually convinced us to have our event at our own house not only saving us money, but being the perfect location for all our needs (no time limit, central location for guests, outdoors with lighting & catering, etc.) He took care of everything from the decor of our backyard (tent, gift table, cake & candy table, etc.), lighting, food & entertainment. There wasn't one aspect of our party where Angel didn't exceed our expectations. For instance, we wanted a photo booth for our event to not only serve as entertainment but as an easy way for us to capture photos throughout the day/night without having to chase everyone around with a camera. After dropping off the photo booth the morning of the event Angel shared 3 new things with us. First, he had taken our invitation that we shared with him at our first meeting and incorporated it into the Welcome screen of the photobooth - so just before every picture everyone got a welcome message from our daughter. Second, he incorporated our theme & details of our invitation into the printed photos that each person would get as a keepsake. It was a subtle detail, but we loved it. Lastly, and the coolest part, he remembered that I wanted to try to find a way to capture video during our event but we also didn't want to hire a videographer. It felt excessive for a 1 year old party. So he set it up so that each person that took a photo at the photo booth could record a small message for us/our daughter. He even ensured that his staff working the booth all night made it a point to remind people to leave us a message. This. was. awesome. We got some of the most amazing videos ever - they made us laugh, cry and more importantly thankful. I could go on and on about Angel and his team, but I'll just say this. Do yourself a favor and hire him for your event. He's phenomenal and you won't be disappointed. read more

We hired Just Imagine Entertainment for our wedding, and we were blown away by them. Angel was our MC and Valentino was our DJ. Angel handled everything from beginning to end - he even correctly predicted our weather and kept us calm leading up to the wedding. He met with us twice, and even attended our rehearsal to ensure all would go as planned with the timeline he helped us with. Extra services are offered, but nothing was pushed. In fact, our first meeting was so comfortable we knew we had made an instant friend. Very reasonable pricing packages - especially considering how amazing they are to work with. The compliments have not stopped from our guests, and we're still being asked for their contact information which we are more than happy to hand over. Valentino, our DJ, was fantastic! Once the dancing started, it didn't stop. He kept with the vibe and our guests filled the dance floor. I've never seen a wedding where every guest was dancing at once. It was my first time enjoying the sound of music with Just Imagine Entertainment and I was impressed. I was a bartender for Goose On The Rocks and we were both vendors at the same event in Santa Monica. I had the pleasure of meeting Angel who has very polite and professional. Angel and his staff were all very professional. The very first meeting we had my husband and I felt instantly comfortable with Angel. When we asked for extra lighting options he showed us different pictures for examples and gave us prices but we never felt like he was pushing extras on us. We were worried the lighting wouldn't enhance enough to make a difference because of the time of day the wedding took place so Angel even came out for a lighting example meeting which assured us we were making the right decision by adding the lighting package. We also ordered a photo booth through him which was AMAZING!! We had so much fun and the guests commented after about how great the photo booth was. We didn't have a wedding planner but Angel prepared me with timelines and examples to help assist. He really kept the party going...and we had a tough crowd. Through the whole planning process Angel and his team were quick with responding to my emails. GREAT communication made me feel at ease during our wedding planning.
