Went in to get a free sea-worthiness evaluation of my stage 1 and 2. Oh it was not free-- suddenly they *only* do $59 rebuilds. Ok, my gear could probably use it, so I let them do it... Go to pick it up on the specified day (4 business days after dropping it off), and the gear was not ready. Go back the next day and the bill for the $59 service is now $150. "Oh you have to pay for parts". Well, no kidding, but good business practice dictates to call the customer if the charges are 20% above the agreed upon estimate. AVOID. Greed. Don't waste your money with this place. They want you to purchase so that they can tell you they cancel your trip for one of their many reasons. 3 months passed and I could get to use my purchases. I had beef calling for 3 months and it appeared as though they keep waiting for my purchase to expire. The boat as they claimed was always full and when I did get one that wasn't they canceled for other reasons. One star too many for this place. read more

They are all extremely knowledgeable and take the time to work with everyone, regardless of skill level, and provide the best instruction to make sure you feel confident in the water. Went snorkeling today with Dixie Divers "Lady Go Diver" I had a fabulous time! The crew was very knowledgeable, friendly, but most of all accommodating! The water was choppy at times, and I did get sick (no fault of the crew) They truly took care of each guest on the boat...especially me! THANK YOU FOR THE CANDIED GINGER, BOBBY!!!! Lots of laughing and relaxing. There's just something about being on a boat cruising through beautiful ocean water that calms you. The day could not have been better with the gorgeous blue sky and Florida sunshine. Oh how I've missed you! This experience was worth EVERY. PENNY!! I will definitely be back! Very cluttered store, high prices not reasonable at all and witnessed several customers complaining to the owner about defective merchandise and he was refusing to issue a refund or apologize in any way, told the customer it was their fault Employees standing around talking amongst themselves never asked if I needed assistance. My boyfriend and I got a Groupon for open water snorkeling, which sounded awesome. What we didn't count on was getting miserably seasick, which we both did. For all three hours of the trip. The Captain, Brett, and Divemaster, Igor were both extremely helpful and checked on us regularly-- going back to the cooler to get us water when we couldn't walk on the rocking ship. This could have been a really unfortunate memory for us, but the crew (and the other patrons) made the experience memorable rather than miserable. read more

Great all in one dive shop. Has everything for beginners all the way to instructors. A lot of cool stuff that most regular dive shops don't have. They have their own pool for training, a lot of great instructors, great specialty gear expert repair and air/nitrox up to 40%. This team is not fit for anyone looking to try diving or snorkeling for the first time or isn't a regular at their store and classes. Their customer service and person-ability skills are extremely lacking, one of the guests on a snorkeling trip was throwing up and feeling very ill and one of the two team members working on the boat promised to try and help and at least bring her a new trash bag and some napkins but instead walked off and never came back to check on her. The other team member was not even aware of the situation until the end of the trip, hours later. Neither of them seemed at all prepared for something they knew could happen. I don't think this is at all the learning experience many vacationers or first-timers are looking for as the team refuses to help people in need and isn't at all helpful in teaching how to use the equipment. read more

This was my first time snorkling and I wasn't sure what to expect. The shop was easy to find and the staff on land did a great job of preparing us and fitting us with equipment and explaining how the trip was gonna go. It was just a short ride down Federal to get to the parking area for the dock which was very convenient. Once on board the captain and his crew were very helpful and friendly. The ride out to the reef was part of the fun and we got to see some amazing homes and boats along the Intercoastal. I was nervous to get in the water the first time but the crew was so helpful and reassuring that I got in with no problem. Being in the water and seeing the reef, the shipwreck, and the beautiful fish was an experience of a lifetime! I even got to see a lobster, and a few of the SCABA divers saw a sea turtle. They even had free snacks, soda and fresh pineapple on the boat for us. I will definitely be going back to Dixie Divers! read more

Best dive shop in south florida! I've been snorkeling with these guys twice, and both times have been really, really fun. George and Will were our dive master and captain, and they were both super awesome! Highly recommend going on a snorkel or dive trip with them. There was ice water, soda, snacks, and fresh fruit. Waking up on the boat ride to cold oranges was a nice touch! The snorkel sites were super cool, my favorite was the Copenhagen wreck. A turtle swam really close to us, which was the highlight of my trip. The boat ride was also very relaxing. Highly recommend Dixie Divers!!! Can't wait to go diving with them. read more

We just recently rented from this dive shop and at first they seemed like kind genuine people. However, as we went out to dive we encountered several problems with the equipment; more specifically the bcds. One of which did not allow for a member in our group to dive and another to use a weight belt to secure the tank since the bcd had no belt at all. Needless to say the following day we returned the gear explaining the issues we had with the equipment and one insinuated that we stole the belt from the bcd and another suggesting that we should have been able to dive with the belt if we tightened it enough. When we asked for a refund for the equipment that was not used they told us that they do not do refunds that they only do store credits... To which the gentleman grabbed a business card and wrote credit $30 and signed it.. Your choice to go there or not this was just our experience and we decided to not go there again. read more

Kind of like the 'soup nazi' on Seinfeld. Their return policy is ridiculous as I couldn't take a wetsuit for an hour for my daughter to try on if it didn't fit NO REFUND! Nice way to build goodwill guys. In a pinch I dropped off tanks to get filled and I was going to pick them up the next day. The pressure ranged from a low of 2300 psi to a high of 2800 psi. Everywhere else I fill runs around 3200. Once again learn how to retain customers. Understand how customers like to be treated and follow thru with kindness and understanding. One more thing- organize your shop it is a mess read more

Ordered a pony bottle with some other tanks, they didn't have them in stock. OK, no problem. Two weeks later, no word; so I call them up. Well, they have them but not in the color I wanted, lucky they didn't ship it! So I ask for a refund, I found them elsewhere. After several emails, 5-6 phone calls and being told it was basically my fault because I wanted something they didn't have, I still don't have my money back. I was told it may take a MONTH to credit my charge card. Seriously folks, the feedback and odd emails I have received speak of a disorganized operation. If everything goes to plan, you may do OK. I have already ordered and received the pony bottle from Divers Direct, still waiting for my money from Dixie. Update: I did receive refund. read more
