The vibes were OFF. We were followed around the entire time by the person working. Told prices and sales that were literally right on the clothing like we couldn't read, and then when a mug fell off an overcrowded shelf (that had aisles barely big enough for a person to stand) and chipped, the lady asked "would you like to keep the mug you're buying or should I just throw it away?" Which was just an incredibly rude way to say if you brake it you buy it. We didn't mind the policy, but the lady working could have had more finesse. I was at a competitor earlier in the day that was overpriced and so I searched for one that was reasonable. This wasn't much better than Beachcombers pricing. I did find a clearance Shelf that was somewhat reasonable. The staff is super busy but when engaged they are friendly and helpful. The stock is plentiful and the facility is clean. It's on the beach so it's very convenient. I just wish these places wouldn't price gouge tourist like this. Make things affordable for people that are on a budget. Every surf side beach location has a beach shop no matter where you go and, with the possible exception of Ron Jons in Cocoa Beach, Florida or Orlando or some of those specializing in upscale surfboards in California, if you've seen one, you one you've pretty much seen them all and on that count Miami Blues is no exception. This store is loaded, completely stacked with "whatnots," beach towels, swimming suits, sun tan lotions, souvenirs, toys, t-shirts and other minor rather insignificant items mostly of all of lesser quality though reasonable in price as may be related to beachwear of spending time on the beach. On the good side, this particular store has an admirable location right of the southeast corner of A1A and Atlantic, is larger than most of what are merely "hole in the wall" beachside operations, has a friendly competent staff that are more than happy to accommodate the tourist or traveler with any local information they may need. Though I didn't purchase anything here, I did speak with the staff, who were most pleasant and did enjoy casually perusing the items, checking things out, and as I always do, reading all of those rather corny, silly sayings that are printed on some of the t-shirts. I'd even repeat what some of them say, but if I did, I'm sure Yelp would then be compelled to delete this entire review since some of the sayings are so obnoxious or generally so offensive it is a wonder anyone would want to wear such a thing. read more

Very well supplied, somewhat expensive beach clothing store. Betsy was a doll, helping me out with sizes and funding the items I needed. One star off for the two ladies who checked me out, one of whom I believe was the owner. Frankly, I thought their demeanor was abrasive and they really didn't seem happy to have my business. I tend to not go back to shops that have that attitude so despite the four stars for inventory and Betsy, I wouldn't rush back. Miami Blues is our go-to store for Pompano Beach souvenirs. Today, Lisa helped me. There was a shirt that I loved, but couldn't find it in my size. When I asked about getting it in an XL, she said she could make me one! Took her less than five minutes, and I had exactly what I wanted. I had the option to put the graphic on a variety of colored shirts. Everyone here is very nice. When I wanted to try on a short, June was more than courteous in helping get an empty dressing room. When I was at the store a few days ago, Tina was awesome! She took the time to visit with us and help us find what we were looking for. I found the perfect shot glass to take to a friend back home. This is a great store ran by a great team. Compared to other stores we visited, they overall have the best prices. We look forward to coming back to this store the next time we're in Pompano Beach! This was my second time back to Miami Blues and I was treated the same as the first time. Nina was absolutely amazing and very helpful during both my visits there. she is very knowledgeable of their products and very friendly and she always goes above and beyond when it comes to helping her customers. I will definitely recommend this store to my friends and Family and I will definitely recommend her to assist them. You usually don't find to many employees who actually cares about their customers needs and she definitely gave me that impression that she really cares about her customers needs. it to bad other establishments don't have employees like her. My family and I were in Pompano Beach visiting and wanted to buy some souvenirs. We first visited this store on June 24th at 8:58 pm not knowing it closed at 9. The store is very clean although slightly cluttered. There were a lot of options to choose from and most things were fairly priced. As I'm shopping around I see the workers rush to close the doors and start telling everyone they're closed. So we generously left, I say 'generously' because we had the right to stay and give them the business but the workers seemed very eager to close. We then went back today, June 27th, at sometime between 3-4 pm and we were all looking around. The workers were basically following us around the store hovering over us, I assume to ensure we weren't stealing but still some personal space would be nice. The workers had the worst attitude, we all felt as if we were bothering them rather than being helped. My brother asked a worker about the price of a pair of sunglasses, the worker stated that they were $250 and my brother said he would ask our mother if he could get them. The worker, I kid you not, turns to her coworker and says "Why would this kid ask about the price? His mom obviously isn't going to get him them". Not only that, I overheard a customer ask a worker about a tanning lotion he bought for his daughter a couple days prior stating that it wasn't working very well. The worker turns to him and says "Tell her to lay in the sun longer". I couldn't believe how awful these workers were, so rude and obnoxious. They're lucky we had no time to shop another store for souvenirs. This place could use a little more space and some new employees. read more

If I could rate below one star, I would. Ditto to horrible customer service. I live on the beach, have shopped their on the sales rack. Most of the clothes are cheaply made, and seriously overpriced. Its close to home and in a spur of the moment occasion, I look for something. My neighbor buys many of her clothes there. She wore a pair of shorts she purchased years ago into the store yesterday. We had lunch, came back to the store to purchase a few things. I was stopped at door by a very crass young lady. Said we were no longer welcome, we were wearing clothing we had not paid for. I realize stores do get hit a lot, especially on the beach. This was NOT the case. We were actually good, PAYING customers. I will not lose sleep over not being welcome their. What does really tick me off was they really horrible way this was handled. The manager hopefully will respond to our review. read more

This is the best souvenir shop i've been to! They had every souvenir you could think of/want for reasonable prices! Their shirts weren't outrageously expensive and had a huge selection with inclusive sizes. The customer service was great. Was immediately greeted with kindness and willingness to help.
