Well, this store had plenty of athletic gear as all Dick's do but absolutely nothing for the Superbowl which was surprising. The store is loaded with an impressive high wall of soccer balls and basketballs which seem to be the focal point upon entering. It was very quiet and lots of staff but no greeting which is a first. The wife actually confronted staff at the register to direct us to a specific area. The employees were great and very helpful. The baseball pants selections was great too. They had a wide variety of brands and sizes. I appreciated that everything for baseball was collocated, such as belts, socks, shirts, and pants. Again, they had prices ranging from $24-$60+. We saw a sign that there was construction going on, so don't mind the mess, but honestly we couldn't even tell where it was. The employees, to include check out staff, were nice and helpful. I am just thrilled with curbside pickup at Dicks Sporting Goods. This was absolutely the best shopping experience I have ever had at this store and I'd LOVE to see this pick up option remain after covid is over because it was really pleasant. I needed a specific pair of shorts and when I went online to order them it said they were available for curbside pickup. I was going to be in the area anyway, so why not? I ordered and paid online. The main operator, had to transfer me three times before I got anybody from the particular department to answer the phone. Once I got the associate on the phone, I asked if he could put a set aside for me. He said there are so many available, that I don't have to worry. When I got there there was only 1 set there. Also, when I was there (on a Sunday afternoon), I wanted to ask a question, but I couldn't find any associate around to help me. The only associates were by the cash registers. I came in looking for some things to help cool me off for a trip to the zoo. They carry items like cooling towels, water bottles that mist, and misting fans. I especially loved the misting water bottle that came in a variety of patterns. It was something I hadn't seen before. After picking up what I needed I checked out the rest of the store. They carry everything you would need for all kinds of sports and outdoor activities. The store is set up by sporting activity with athletic clothes in the center of the store. I only looked at a few items and didn't find their prices to be better than similar items on Amazon. For instance I recently purchased snorkeling gear on Amazon for $10 less than the cheapest set here. You have to know your items to make sure you are getting the best price. The only sport I engage in is running and I prefer the more personalized customer service at Runner's Depot for picking my shoes. If I participated in more sports I would definitely shop here more. If you think you'll need any help... DON'T GO! The "kids" are clueless. I was looking for a specific type of item and was not able to find anyone to tell me where they might be. I finally stumbled on them on my own and after trying on 8 tops, I found an employee to ask if the one I liked came in and XS. He said yes but they were probably out of it. I proceeded to look it up online via my phone to see the S was the smallest size. As a professional, I was trained long ago to admit you don't know the answer and to take the steps to find it. He lied that it existed and told me I'd have to ask a cashier (after waiting in line). Fail #1 I did make a decision and proceeded to the line. It moved quickly but on scanning, the cashier told me she couldn't sell either shirts I had selected. When questioned, she stated they must be too new. I explained there was a whole display of these shirts and she said there was nothing she could do. Fail #2 I asked to speak to a manager and she gathered more kids. When I asked if anyone was a manager, I was told no but they all agreed they couldn't sell the shirts. After a few minutes, I asked if they were recalled or defective? Again, no answer, we just can't sell them. Finally, the crowd grew by a guy who looked slightly older... maybe 30. They eventually agreed to sell me the shirts but it would have to be under another item number as this one wouldn't scan. They had me so annoyed and concerned that there could be a problem with the shirts that I only took one instead of the 2 I wanted. Also, they made it clear, there were no returns. In the end, they sold me the shirt I liked (although slightly large) for $10 off. Minimal concession for an extremely long and rude process. Obviously, Dick's never heard... "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". And even if we are not right, don't lie to us. Fail on all levels. I will never enter a Dick's again and will spread the word and communicate these concerns to corporate. read more

I had to finally look for someone despite there being about 7 employees pushing fixtures to the back. I went into this location on 02/22/18 to purchase a specific 12 gauge shotgun. I spoke to one of their representatives, and told him exactly what I was looking for. He said they had one left in stock. I checked it out, and decided I wanted it. The whole transaction went very smooth. I get home, and the 3" rounds would not load. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I called them & they said come back in, and we'll comp. the shells for a box of 2 3/4" shells. I get home again, and the same thing happens. The 2 3/4" shells would not load. I called back again. They told me the gun must be defective, & that I would have to contact the manufacturer. Of course I was PISSED. I kept saying to myself "This doesn't make any sense." I was reading the booklet that came with the shotgun. And I saw that it said that it came in 12 gauge AND 20 gauge. A light bulb went off in my head. I looked at the barrel of the shotgun and low and behold it said "20 GA." (which means it was a 20 gauge shotgun) I had NO IDEA that this specific shotgun ALSO came in 20 gauge. I went back to the store for a THIRD time in the same day, for the store representative that I originally dealt with to tell me to my face, that it was THEIR FAULT, and that they were really sorry, but all gun sales were "final." Obviously that didn't sit well with me. I contacted the companies customer service. Told them what happened. They took all my information down, and said they would pass it on to "higher ups." I'm guessing that meant their corporate office. Within the hr, I got a phone call from the store manager of the location I purchased the shotgun from. He said, he was unaware of what happen, and that they will find the gun I was suppose to have purchased. They had the RIGHT shotgun within the hr of talking to them. They found it at a northern DICKS location from where we were. I went to the store and just had to redo my background check cause it was a different gun, with a different cereal #. I didn't have to pay 1 penny more than I originally did. I was overall, very impressed with them making good on their mistake. read more

THIS REVIEW IS PURELY ABOUT THE PRO SHOP I came in to have my entire set of golf clubs regripped. Tim was working in the Pro Shop and ensured me that he would get right to work on them and I could have them back in less than 24 hours. He was not kidding. I went to dinner and about two hours later received a call from Tim letting me know I could pick up my clubs immediately. When I returned, I found my clubs ready. He had done an excellent job and was extremely knowledgeable about courses in the area. Way to go! Excellent service! I watched a fishing department get smaller carry less products carry more lower-end products Etc. The store has an abundance of apparel and shoes golf equipment Little League baseball equipment Etc but some Outdoor Sports they lack in stock. I walk through the departments in the store and noticed a lot of items are not in stock and it makes you wonder why. They are not as competitively-priced as they were now that Sports Authority has gone out of business some of their prices are a little higher than other stores. Overall the people working there are courteous and nice but it's not a store I need to go to anymore. I would much rather shop online at Cabela's and other outdoor stores that carry stock on everything you want that a sporting goods store should have. read more

So my girlfriend wants to purchase a couple of field and stream SPF 50 quick dry shirts. They have the size and colors she likes and we approach the sales counter with shirts in hand. As the purchase is rung up by the sales clerk, she states that the items cannot be sold for whatever reason!!!! (They did have the sales tags with bar codes hung on a non - clearance rack) So here is the rub, why would a large sporting goods chain place merchandise out on the floor for sale that cannot be sold?????? This is ridiculous and created a customer relations catastrophe in front of a line of other customers. The manager eventually arrived and after many minutes of heated discussion, the shirts were finally sold to my girlfriend, and at a discount. Was all this really necessary ???? Have came to this dicks a couple times to buy some stuff and the reason I give it three stars is because the customer service here isn't that good. Usually it's hard to find someone to help you out. I called for an item that was supposed to be in stock and they told me It wasn't but I placed an order to be picked up in store and somehow they had it and I went and picked it up. They do have a lot of stuff at the store from sports stuff to hunting. One thing I can say is that the pick up in store option is very good. You order online and pick up in store they have a machine right as you walk in and just scan a barcode they send to you and a associate brings out your merchandise. You don't have to wait in line or track down an employee to get your item. They do offer a military discount which helps as well. read more

I specifically asked about size Medium, and was told they "had tons in all sizes". They literally could not have been more wrong. There may have been 10-12 shirts, all XXL or even XXXL. I spent about 15 minutes looking for an employee to see if there was anything comparable, and there was nobody to be found. I wanted to buy a bike for my wife to surprise her for her birthday. With the pandemic going on and Dicks having no inventory in the store I only had the option to buy online. The bike arrived Thursday night. I put it together Friday night and gave it to her for her birthday Saturday afternoon. Despite being In the size range for the one I ordered it was too small. I went to dicks website to start the return. It said I had 90 days to return it. I figured having it for 2 days there would be no issue. The website even started the return process. I took it to the store Sunday morning and was told they would not take it back after 24 hours and if I didn't like it I could call customer service. I called customer service Sunday and spoke to a gentleman who didn't even know that was a policy but after researching it with me on the phone said it was their policy. He said he would send this up to corporate and they would contact the store and then get back to me within 24 hours. He said if the store won't take it back then they will probably have me box it back up and send it in to them. I never heard back from them. It's now the following Wednesday. My wife called back and was told flat out that they will not take the bike back. The bike was never ridden but they keep telling me that I am out of luck. I would have settled for a store credit. We spend so much money in this store with having 3 boys in multiple sports. It's sad that a company so large cares nothing about the people that support them and got them to where they are today. Went to this store about two weeks ago. First let me say the store is very nice and organized in its flow. I must say it really felt like I was in a Sports Authority. Both store have a very similar floor plan/lay-out. Maybe it a just me but very similar. The only difference I seen in the two stores were the names and Dick's appear to be slightly higher with prices. I would probably buy from Dick's due to proximity to my house, but If I have time would travel. read more
