We came here two times, always had great experience with this Force E in Pompano! Both times we were just looking, didn't really plan to buy anything. But with great help from Sam, we ended up buying lots of gears! Hahaha. I was looking for regulator on the first time, I didn't see anything I like, color wise. You know girls, everything is about color. LOL! Sam actually hooked up one regulator to a tank and let me tried it. Then I had to buy it, not that I felt guilty for not buying it because Sam opened it. That regulator did feel good in my small mouth. This time, we had Italian food next door and decided to stop by. I was hoping to find a pair of legging, but ended up buying a set of shark skin suits. My husband also got himself a set of shark skin suits. Because they have discount on the shark skin suits, good time to buy! Again, thanks to Sam! He is always patient, he knows all the products in the store, he is very knowledgeable, most importantly he is not pushy on selling at all. Professional, comprehensive instruction in a tropical paradise! My daughter and I completed the Discover SCUBA course with Chris. Our course began in the classroom as we reviewed the basics of SCUBA. We were then fit for gear and moved to the pool for in-water instruction. Our instructor, Chris, was patient and kind while he explained and demonstrated each skill and then observed us individually completing each skill. During our pool session we developed not only the basic skills but also a trust in Chris to prepare us and ensue our safety during our open-water dive. Our open water dive took place the following day. Weather conditions limited our options, but Force E was prepared with a weather-appropriate dive location at one of the most popular sites in Florida. During the open water dive, I panicked initially and would have given up. But Chris was patient and helped me to build my confidence so we could all proceed. Throughout our dive, Chris was attentive to both my daughter and I, checking in frequently with us and closely monitoring our safety, while also directing us as we swam to various reefs and sunken treasures. Throughout the entire process we felt well-cared for. The entire team at Force E works together as a team to create the ideal SCUBA experience for their customers. During our time, we observed a more advanced course in progress. It was impressive for us to see the potential for pursuing SCUBA, as well as the attention and level of detail the other group received with their instructor, Roman. My daughter enjoyed herself completely and plans to pursue certification. I looked into options closer to our home, but she prefers to return to Chris for additional training. Last week I completed my Open Water SSI Certificate. I had not scuba dived in 32 years. Roman Giconi did a fantastic job as instructor. He answered all my questions and helped me pick out great fitting gear. His patience and knowledge helped us get comfortable underwater. Roman and the crew made a great call for our checkout dives. The weather was unpredictable but we were able to make safe, comfortable dives on the wreck of the Okinawa and drifting over an incredible reef. I planned a 15 day trip to Pompano Beach Florida, made arrangements with Peter Michel with Force-E for instruction on 6 specialties, to build the skills we will use most in our diving, and completed my Master Diver Certification. Peter was a knowledgeable, patient, and calm instructor and planned a great training itinerary. He let my husband dive along with us when my husband already had the certification that I was obtaining. The SSI specialty courses I completed were: Nitrox Deep Wreck Navigation Night Stress and Rescue The training was private, not with a group, which I was pleasantly surprised about. The private setting allowed us to focus on me and my skills, not divide the instructors attention among multiple students. Pompano Beach was the perfect location for this type of training because we experienced a variety of sea conditions with rough water, calm water, surface current, underwater current, boats using giant stride entry and others using rollback entry, and so on. The repetitive diving was the best thing ever to solidify my skills and build my confidence. read more

This is our second time going to the shop to buy scuba gear. Last time we got my wife a new regulator set which was a legend. Also got a tank and some other piece of the gear. This time we both got the shark skin suits. They had a good discount price on them so it was good time to buy. Sam is always great to work with for sales assistants. He's a DM instructor and quite knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. Most people come here to get air tanks filled they seem to have a pretty good deal with the air club card. Now issue with the shop as they don't have scubapro since scubapro won't allow them to sell other brands. read more

I took the PADI refresher course in preparation for diving down in Key West. Rodney was my divemaster, and he went out of his way to fit my schedule, meaning getting up at 6 am to go through some skills before 2 boat dives. He's super patient, detail oriented, and knows how to build your confidence so you can relax and enjoy your dives. The shop was a normal dive shop, prices about average and will a good selection. The gear was ok, but had a small leak on the coupling where the octopus connects to the BC. I'm a big guy and go through air quickly, so every pound of pressure is vital, and this robbed me of a little. I'd say I would give the place about 3.6 or 3.7 stars, so obviously I had to round up. read more

We booked a dive with Parrot Island through Force E this past weekend. I showed up, paid $55/person for the dive. That price seems to be the going rate for a boat dive when you bring your own gear. They don't charter boats themselves, but they hook you up with a bunch of boats from Fort Lauderdale up to Singer Island. As I waited for my dive buddy to show up, I realized that my mask was MIA. I went inside, and was surprised by the large selection and great prices on the masks! They made sure I took my receipt with me, so that if I didn't like the mask for any reason, I could return it. It was nice to get that kind of service. We carpooled to the boat from the dive shop. After dives and dinner, we got back. I saw the open sign was still on, so I went to drop off my tanks for Nitrox fills. As we were walking up, the open sign was turned off. The guy working (I can't remember his name) opened the door for us and said he couldn't do them tonight, but he'd have them ready by tomorrow. I told him not to hurry, because I wasn't diving again right away. I got a call at 8:45 this morning saying my tanks were filled! The do Nitrox mixes on site, so you can get anything up to 36%, which is nice. I'm sure I'll be back - and not just to pick up my tanks :) read more

I completed my freediving certification with Eric through Force-E and he was a wonderful instructor! The classroom and pool portions went smoothly; unfortunately, I was very seasick during the open water dives. Despite being sick, I managed to complete all but one of the dives - my body gave up before my final dive. Eric was so patient with me throughout my seasickness and he even rearranged his schedule so he could go back out to the ocean with me a couple of days later so I could finish my final certification dive. Called about 2 weeks in advance to book a trip and then again a few days out to book a second trip on the same weekend as the first trip. We arrived at the shop the night before our first trip to find out that our group hadn't been added to the book and all the spots had since been filled. The staff was nice enough to make a few calls and get us on another boat. They were also helpful in getting one of my friends outfitted as she had no equipment. I would use them again but when booking a dive trip through them make sure whoever you talk to puts your name down in all spots it needs to be and that you get their name just in case. read more

Force E hits it out of the park again! I am from Colorado and wanted to check out the diving in FL. I was working my way from Jupiter FL to Miami. I already wrote a review for the Force E in Boca, now let me tell you about this location. I don't know what management is doing but they are doing something right! The staff at Force E are very friendly and welcoming. I talked to Max for probably an hour plus about diving, photography, and local dives. He offered to go with me and show me around. I was interested in getting my Padi Open Water Certification. My brother & sister-in-law will be going to Fiji & Hawaii in April of this year. I called several Dive Centers around Pompano Beach. I truly believe we lucked out when Sam answered the phone when I called the shop. He was so patient with me as I asked him a zillion questions about the process of getting certified. this place is alright. gear: for purchase: they have all the regular stuff available and deals going on left and right. i went into the store during new years time and they had a gear packaged sale going on that i thought was alright. rentals: this is the real tricky part. they had some PRETTY fancy bcds they rented to my friend. however, my bcd was a piece of 50+ year old crap! i seriously even asked if i could get another one because the cloth holding one of the straps down seemed like it would disintegrate once i hit 100 ft under water! they didnt have another one in my size that would accommodate my reg/octo set up. (my octo hose is integrated with the bcd fill hose thats USUALLY located on the left shoulder, but their fancy bcds werent the usual types so i was stuck with this ancient scary-will-it-work bc....) the prices? for tanks, weights, bc and boat boarding passes for four dives came out to approximately 190 for me. not bad, but not great. he took off 10% on the boat boarding pass because my buddy and i both booked 4 dives each i wish it were 15%... gary was a nice guy. he was accessible and even let me borrow a shortie wetsuit free of rental charge because he noticed i nearly froze to death. the place is good and clean. i like it. did the place go above and beyond other dive shops? not really but gary, the owner sure did. go and enjoy yourself! dive dive dive! read more

Long-time dive shop in Pompano Beach with locations in West Palm Beach (Riviera Beach) and Boca Raton. They have good selection and knowledgeable staff. Air fill cards and Nitrox cards are a good deal. Their Pompano store just moved from Atlantic to US-1 between Atlantic and Copans (East side of the road). The location is much larger than their previous location and easier to get into and out of with tanks. Highly recommend this place for divers of all experience levels. read more

Force-E Scuba Centers is not only a scuba retail shop, it's a place for local divers to hang out and to keep diving. They have lots of great events ranging from dive education, ocean conservation, local ocean projects, and parties. If you go to their website you can see their event calendar. They even have a Meet Up group which helps me stay involved with whats going on at the stores. I also like that Force-E will post the local dive conditions both on their website and their Facebook page....so many times I look at the NOAA site and think wow the diving is not good, but when I check with Force-E I get the actual report and realize NOAA got it all wrong. I also like the No Fear Guarantee that Force-E has...it's great to know if I don't like a piece of equipment that I purchased that I can trade it in for something that will make my diving more comfortable. Overall, I really like Force-E Scuba Centers and thank them for making me feel comfortable and like family. read more
