Hey just wanted to give you some feedback on my buddy and I 3 tank dive on Scubatyme in Boynton. It really started out as a shit show. The afternoon Dive was supposed to start at 1:30 and the captain didn't show up till 2 o'clock. We knew this was going to be a cluster since we got a late start and it was a three tank dive The first thing is, it was questionable whether we should've even gone out or not as the seas were easily 4 to 5 not a big deal for my buddy and I since we are experienced Divers, but there were two newbies on board they did get sick I do have to say the dive master did a fantastic job, keeping us all together, as a currents were strong in the seas were high My buddy and I did not do the third Dive is it was still too rough which made it hard to get on the boat and it was also getting dark that along with that ripping current we did not feel comfortable doing that third dive Just wanted to give you all some feedback I don't think will do the Scuba time boat again or a late afternoon three tank dive again!!! read more

If you are not a seasoned diver, I would not recommend going with this charter. They did not take roll call on the boat before or after dives. and I believe this is very unsafe.  There was little if any explanation of the dive sites, what to expect, procedure for getting back on the boat, what to do if you get separated from your buddy, etc.  It just seemed like a lot of assumptions were being made. Most dive boat crews will offer to carry gear on board for customers, or at the very least will ask you where you'd like to be set up.  When I arrived at the boat, there was no such offer, and in fact, there were not really even instructions regarding what to do .  Was I supposed to just pick a random place?  Where were my tanks?  It made me uneasy from the start. Once tanks were located, no one was asking about whether we had analyzed them.  When I asked for the analyzer on the first day, I did get some help, but on the second day, Nick was calibrating the analyzer on an air tank while using the same hand in which he had a lit cigarette.  In my mind, that probably isn't good for the quality of the analysis, nor for your analyzer, or at the very least, it struck me as highly unprofessional. Also on the second day, no one was asking whether we had weights.  We were actually leaving the marina, and I asked if I could get weights.  Nick pointed down into the area with the toilet and told me they were down there, and to just grab them.  Again, in my experience on nearly all other dive boats, the crew is actively asking people what weights they need and bringing them to them immediately after they get on the boat.  I shouldn't have to be searching for weights after we leave the dock. I was also disappointed that even though I received an e-mail asking for feedback, and took time to type this all out, I got no response of any kind. That makes me wonder if they have any issues with the problems I pointed out. read more

Couldn't have ask for a better dive yesterday. Daniel was the Captain, Eric was our incredible guide. Couldn't have asked for a better team. We did several dives during the week with different companies and these guys are my #1. Boats are easy to get in and out of, plenty of space, Dive master gave great briefs, helped everyone out when needed. Had the little "extras" snacks, plenty of water, sunscreen etc. thanks again and we will definitely be back!!!! Thanks again ERIC!!! I've gone on over ten dive charters with Enzo and Scubatyme crew this summer so this review is well overdue. Enzo has three boats and they take you to plenty of reefs and wrecks off Pompano Beach. They usually have sites scheduled in advance but also call audibles based on request or weather conditions. Out of the ten trips I have yet to miss a reef or wreck after they drop us off. The crew does a great job of briefing you on the site and what landmarks to look for. They know these waters like the back of their hands and I trust them to the max. All of the crew is professional and can provide bad jokes on request. The boat is always loaded with complimentary water and snacks in between and after dives. The boats also have an onboard toilet and keep the vessel clean and in great condition. This is my go to charter in the fort Lauderdale Miami area and I highly recommend them. They also do private charters which we have used twice for corporate events. Anything you need and Enzo and his team go the extra mile. If you go see them tell them Javi sent you! read more

My girls surprised me with this for my bachelorette weekend. The captain was so wonderful and friendly, there was a lot of time to snorkel, 2 hours worth! They were very good about constantly checking to make sure everyone was on board and accounted for and they let us freely walk about the stern and bow of the boat. My only complaints were that the boat was over crowded so there was no place for everyone to sit with the scuba equipment and 21 people on the boat and make sure to bring your own snacks! They passed around a container of pineapples and everyone's dipped their fingers in to pull one out as well as the assistant walking around and offering ONE kindergarten snack sized snack to each person and made a comment that we must be hungry since many of us took an extra. We were on a boat for 4+ hours so if course we were hungry. BRING SNACKS!! There were plenty of drinks. read more

For some reason the crew of this boat thought it would be funny to shoot water at the boat I was on. After a nice morning of diving we were heading back into the dock. The boat I was on was dry and everyone was chatting. Then Scuba Tyme came by and drenched us with water guns ruining my iPhone and soaking everyone in dry cloths. If this is how they behave while going out to dive I am not sure their mentality with divers in the water is any different. Seems to me that Scuba Tyme is more horse play that taking their job serious. Saftey should be #1 while diving this behavior reinforces why I dive on Scuba Tyme. read more

DM Doug and Captain Lori did a fine job taking care of us. We had 13 divers on the boat, and all were seasoned divers and most had been on the boat before. Some had lobster spears. We did a reef drift with bouys and flags. Depths from 50-80 Feet. The reef was sparse and sea life even sparser. Be ready to swap your own tanks amd rinse your rented gear after the dive. I spent $120 on gear rental and two dives. Chips, pineapple, and water and soda were provided on board. I would use them again. read more

Great staff and service A great dive experience. Enzo and his staff are the friendliest and most helpful in town. The boat is very comfortable with lots of shady cover if you want it. Boat is perfectly setup for diving. Trips include drinks, snacks and fruit, and you can bring your own snacks and keep them in their coolers if you wish. Plenty of suntan lotion and mask defog too. Will do their best to take you to the type of dive spots you're interested in. They can also provide tanks, weights and any other equipment you need. I've been diving with them for years and they are the best in south Florida. Our usual dive charter was not running this morning so my son and I went out with Scubatyme. What a great experience! We did a two wreck dive...the Okinawa and Ancient Mariner. Enzo was divemaster and Bob was Captain. They were extremely friendly and the dive briefings were some of the best I have heard. Ample fruit, snacks, and sodas were a nice touch, and they were quick with providing top notch assistance. I would highly recommend diving with them and I look forward to our next trip. read more

Above and beyond service created a great experience for the adventurous diver or those looking to get certified w/ PADI. It is rare that I write a review, but this crew really does deserve it. From prices to safety and comfort to personalities, you really can't get better than the Scubatyme Crew. My mom and I booked with them hoping to get PADI Open Water Certified. Enzo (the owner) answered all our questions via phone/email from getting the proper fitting equipment to accommodations near by to any concerns we had. Once we got to Pompano Beach, he then gave us an incredible instructor (Thersa) who was very patient and thorough from the equipment to pool work to getting us in the ocean. Once on the boat, we met the rest of the crew (Doug- Dive Master, Lonnie- Captain and Bob- Captain) who were so fantastic and encouraging every step of the way, triple checking all safety measures to make sure we all had great dives. Our first four dives in the water were with Theresa. Once certified, we went on four more dives and were able to have Enzo as our guide. He encouraged input on what we wanted from the experience, so we got everything from reef dives to wreck dives (where we encountered a massive, gorgeous nurse shark) and he even took me lobster hunting on my last day (dinner was on me)! The other divers we met on the boat ranged from locals to international travelers, and most had been coming back to Scubatyme for years, as will we! My wife and I dove with Scubatyme last week while on vacation in Fort Lauderdale. We were very happy with the experience and went back the next day to dive again. We were beginners and they took great care of us, but there were also many experienced divers on board who seemed to be repeat customers. My boys and I did four dives in one day. Enzo, both captains , Bob and Oliver and the dive master Doug were all friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great and saw a lot of different things including a Goliath grouper. Boat and equipment were all very well taken care of. Pineapple, snacks and water were provided after each dive. Did my open water diving certification on board as well as extra dives after that. The boat is very well run and the crew are on top of their game and have the divers safety as their top priority at all times looking out for errant boaters and surfaced divers. They goto a variety of great locations. The post diving snacks are good and the water for drinking is bottled not hose water in the coolers. They also have a head (toilet) below deck for you to use. The frequent diver program they offer is an added bonus to a great product. read more
