I did an Open Water Certification that I found on Groupon. At first I thought it was going to be a "let me sell you everything I can" kind of gig, but Kurt was very knowledgeable and even after researching equipment, he does have the best price on a lot of things! I didn't have a wetsuit going into this since I figured, "I'm not sure if I'll even like this and besides, it's Florida- how cold can it be?" - YOU NEED A WETSUIT. Do not even question it! Kurt can hook you up! As far as the dives and course itself went: I had an absolute blast and learned so much through this course. The lake dives helped prepare the group with the main basics and just getting comfortable under in the water. We were well-prepared for the ocean dives and everyone unanimously had a great time. The group I trained with was great, which definitely helped. Kurt is definitely a very patient guy, though. I don't know how he puts up with some people... I will absolutely be returning to this shop for future dives and hopefully additional courses. It was a fantastic experience and I'm glad I did it. read more

Since my grandfather retired and bought a place in Florida I decided to leave NJ for the winter and enjoy the warm weather in South Florida! I've been searching for a long time to get scuba certified, but for me it's very hard to find time away from work. Until I came across scuba dive it, they offered the open water course that was offered three consecutive days. It was conveniently offered every weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This made life so much easier, compared to other places that would spread it over the course of two weeks or only offered it on certain weekends. As for the experience itself, it's definitely crossed off the bucket list. Not only crossed off, but I plan on going back and continuing my education to advance level. I don't only want to make this a one time experience, I want to turn into into a lifestyle. Kurt, our instructor and owner of the company showed me a whole new life in the water. He made sure to keep me safe but making it so much fun as I learn. There was never a dull moment with him, whether it was in the classroom or open waters. I received my PADI open water certification last weekend from Kurt, AKA Aqua Man. The guy is a great teacher - he takes the time to make sure everyone truly understands what we are doing and why we are doing it, and makes it extremely easy to feel comfortable during the whole process. I was truly impressed with his patience and dedication to the entire group - we had a teenager that was struggling pretty hard the whole time, but Kurt slowed down the class and took the time to make sure that the kid felt comfortable and didn't feel embarrassed or rushed. You could tell he truly cares about the well being of his students. It was easy to see that Kurt was far beyond the skill set and training capabilities of most of the other diving instructors that we came across. Our 13 year old son has been obsessed with marine life since he was 5 years old. We finally agreed to let him PADI certified. I ran into this scuba school while looking for different alternatives and the price looked better than most (if not all) of the other options I came across. Kurt was kind enough to reschedule for me several times due to an inconvenient that I had with my car that limited my mobility. My experience with this course was great. You are expected to read the books before the class and know what they are talking about, but he's a great instructor who is patient enough to go through every section and make sure everyone understands before moving on. He's knowledgeable and very serious about his job, all while being a very pleasant person to be around. Overall it was a great experience. My younger sister and I just recently completed our Advanced Open Water Certification with Kurt at Scuba Dive It. Kurt is a phenomenal instructor and was beyond accommodating with us. We called looking to book the course on pretty short notice, and I bartend so it is hard for me to do a lot of weekend diving. Kurt put together a custom schedule, and got us diving on days that worked for our funky work hours...and it was all on pretty short notice to boot. My 15-year-old son was a little reticent about jumping into scuba diving. I signed him up for an open water course with Kurt at scuba dive it. From start to finish he was professional, thorough, and made my son feel completely comfortable in the water and now he is certified. My son truly did not think he had it in him to do it however Kurt was patient, encouraging, and took safety very seriously.
