I was worked on by 2 people; a woman who started my manicure, but didn't finish it. Mostly I was worked on by a tall man. He didn't communicate very much, but it was my first time and maybe I should have communicated more. I will next time. I must say I walked away with my toes and finger nails looking quite good. The place is pricey, $70 (which wound up being $72 and change on my debit card which was not explained to me) for a manicure/pedicure. I'm used to spending $50. I chose wellness due to long massages as part of the service. I quite liked the arms/shoulders/neck massage. However, the legs/feet was lacking. Not enough pressure and the feet mostly ignored. I also noticed my friend's legs/feet massage was SUBSTANTIALLY longer than mine and her person (younger man) attended well to her feet. That is my biggest complaint, a lackluster and way too short legs/feet massage. My next complaint is the cursory attention to my intense calluses on my feet and cracked skin heels. He maybe used the pumice stone for 20 seconds on each foot ! THIS is such an important part of a pedicure, coming away with soft feet. My feet were exactly the same when I left as when I came in. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! Certainly NOT worth spending $70!!! One of the other things that softens feet for a proper pedicure is soaking them in treated warm water. A bowl of tepid water arrived, but it was not warm enough and my feet HARDLY got a chance to soak making the soak useless. I don't know, end of the week (Sunday) late afternoon I got someone who was not so into providing a satisfying service?!? I will give them one more try and speak up about my needs

I came here because of the stellar reviews and nail pics on Yelp and social media, but the service…read moreand quality of work were extremely disappointing and did not match my expectations. I do not recommend getting a Gel-X mani here. First, the recommendation I was given didn't make sense. My natural nails had grown out pretty long, so I asked for hard gel. Multiple staff members recommended Gel-X extensions instead for the design I wanted. My natural nails were only slightly shorter than my reference image, but I wanted to trust their expertise. I was wrong. I chose the shorter extension length and it ended up being the same length of my natural nail before the tech cut them, so the extensions added nothing and I unnecessarily had my nails cut. Second, the application quality doesn't match the price. There are ill-fitting corners throughout. Rather than sizing up to an extension that fit my nail bed, the tech filed down my side walls to force the smaller one to fit, which hurt. One extension on my index finger is visibly crooked. I pointed it out and was told it looked straight - looking at it again and in photos, it's clearly off-center. There's also still cured gel on my skin, which is a contact dermatitis risk. Third, the pricing was not transparent. I paid $115 for a Gel-X removal and Gel-X manicure. The pricing on the website and at check-in is confusing, and when I showed my inspiration photo up front, no one quoted me. The tech told me the price, $155, only after she had already started the design. I got it down to $115 by dropping the star flakes, which were $40 on their own. I want to pay techs fairly for their work, but $40 for star flakes isn't worth it. To be fair, there were genuine positives. I called to let them know I was running 10 minutes late and the staff were completely understanding about it. And when I asked for a swirl cat eye design, my tech told me upfront that it was above her skill level rather than overpromising. She still gave it a shot, and I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, I can't recommend this place. The quality of work and service don't match the price, and what frustrates me more is that the staff didn't listen to my questions and were quick to shut me down instead of working with me. Given the reviews here, I'll assume this isn't the standard, and that it's fixable.

When I sat down in the chair, I specifically told the person doing my nails that I had not gotten a pedicure in awhile (6 months actually) since the last time I got one, they cut the sides of my toenails and I got such bad ingrowns and my nails literally split from how bad they were. I had to grow them out for that long and had not touched them so my right toenail was a little uneven from the split. She said Ok and said she would be careful. She asked if she could cut just the top of the nail to make it even and square. I said yes, and then repeated that I did NOT want anything on the sides of my toes touched. Despite MULTIPLE times telling her that, she took it upon herself to "clean up" the sides of my big toenails by cutting them at a 45° angle.... the EXACT thing that the previous salon did that absolutely destroyed my nails. When I realized, I asked her, and she tried to defend herself while lying multiple times. She had the audacity to say 1. My nails were already like that, then changed her story to 2. That she was "cutting away" the excess nail polish she had put on away". And then again changed her story to 3. That she actually didn't cut them at all and didn't know what I was talking about. I then said, no you absolutely cut them, why would you cut the inside of the nail when I SPECIFICALLY said at least 2-3 times not to? She replied with, well they're already cut, I can't do anything now. AND THEN TRIED TO CUT THE SIDES AGAIN MORE SAYING SHE WAS TRYING TO FIX IT. I literally had to push her hand away and say "absolutely not, please stop touching my nail." When I walked in, I asked for 2 coats funny bunny, 1 coat bubble bath. Well, 7 coats later and her saying bubble bath wouldn't look very good. I had to accept that my nails were just not going to look acceptable at al. You can actually still see the brush strokes of the polish... AFTER 7 COATS!! It was absolutely absurd how they could not achieve a simple combination that is by far the most popular nail polish combo right now. After she said she was done, I paid, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was on the bridge of tears knowing how long it had taken me to recover from my previous nail fiasco and how long it was going to take to recover from this. I am getting married in August and honestly so sad that my nails might still be affected by this. When I got home, I burst into tears and couldn't believe the state of my nails. After more inspection, I realized she DIDN'T EVEN PAINT MY RIGHT PINKY TOE!!!! I am going to a wedding abroad on Wednesday, so as you can imagine, I was pissed. I had to file down some of my other nails because they were shaped so badly. My big toes don't even look the same shape. I walked back into the store before a dinner reservation and asked for a refund. She asked me to take off my shoes so she could inspect my toes. I told her what had happened and that my pinky toe wasn't even painted. She said she couldn't offer me a refund, just a gift certificate since the service was completed. I responded with... well not really cause my toe was not painted and she specifically did something I asked her not to do. I didn't even mention how bad the nail polish application was since I thought it was pretty fricken apparent and had an uber waiting. I ended up taking the gift certificate since I was in a hurry, and they said I could come back to get them redone and there would be a different person there to do them. I don't know why they would think I would EVER go back there again, but I will be filing a dispute with my CC company. So sad since I had been here multiple times before and live down the street. Would NOT recommend.
