    Builder Gel design

Got a great builder gel polka dot design. Service was fast and good! The salon space was clean and welcoming.

    Skin damage, bruise

Walked in to get waxing. Walked out with damanged skin and bruises on face and arm. Instead of any sort of apology for causing skin damage, lady had the audacity to tell me its only little bit of damage. Shamelessly kept laughed, and kept offering discount for skin damage. Really bad experience. Getting tired of really poor quality service experience, yet charging loft prices in this city. They Use cheap wax products, thereby have trouble pulling hair with first try. Going to a wedding with broken skin. I guess there is a reason why the place was empty, while neighboring salons were bustling. Risks of trying walk-in services. 0 star.

I feel bad giving such a bad rating given everything going on in the world but don't waste your money here! I went on a Friday afternoon and there was two other people in the salon and 5 nail technicians working. My manicurist rushed through my gel manicure leaving me with cuts and peeling cuticles. After 4 days my nails were already peeling and they keep getting caught in my hair when I brush or blow dry. I'd rather pay $5-10 more for a long lasting manicure. I live around the corner and will never go back

Came here today for a polish change and pedicure and while the pedicure is a 4/5 stars (nails weren't cut the right shape but I should have been more clear to her) the polish change is horrible. Totally understand the routine of a polish change - simple nail filing, no cuticle cutting, etc etc - but this was by far the worst polish change I've ever gotten. The tops of the nails are thicker than the rest, the entire nail isn't covered, she didn't clean up any of the excess nail polish on my skin, and the overall nail color is so streaky. The picture speaks for itself, but if you come here do yourself a favor and pay the extra $3 to get a manicure. The picture is taken immediately after receiving the polish change. Like are you kidding!! I'm horrible at painting nails but even I could have done a better job than this.

I'm giving two stars instead of one because my gel manicure looked great for the first 3 days. Day 4, I could see the color starting to lift from the sides, and Day 5 I was able to easily peel off the polish. I usually do my own gel manicures at home, but wanted to treat myself. My DIY manicures last 2 weeks. This "professional" manicure lasted 5 days.

It's hard to rate because this is my local spot. Not even a block from my house. The husband & wife owners always wave hello when I walk by and call me by name. THEN I had a fateful night...6:45pm I was seated upstairs in the 2nd to last chair. I was going on a 25 minute wait, silently waiting with my feet in a luke warm plastic lined bowl. Finally my 'treatment' begins, an older woman who I haven't encountered before gets to work. I used to go...eh, to be fair at least once a month for a solid 16 months. This was my 1st time back in a while. I sit calmly while the lady is rushing, short quick strokes, slight hints of nail (should have been a sign) to complete my calf rub. She glances at the clock, it's 7:35pm, she urgently wants to begin my manicure. She finishes my pedi, they look cute! All is going as planned until she begins my mini 'complimentary back/neck massage'. I usually like a deep tissue massage, but deep into the muscle not on the surface. She was using a new technique, something I've never felt before. She kept going back to the neck, repeating what felt like pinching. I was weary but it didn't last more than 5 min so I sat through it. Okay finally 8:10pm & say my thank you's & head home. Within the hour, I put my hair in a ponytail. Horrified I am staring at my neck through the mirrors. What on EARTH did this woman DO to me?! That is not a 'technique' that was torture. It's three solid lines of broken blood vessels! It's a gawd awful sight, & I am scared. What is all that blood? Does it have long term effects? Will it go away? How soon? I sleep on it & go back 1st thing in the AM. Its 9am, before they open for business. His employee is asking me if I want a mani/pedi? I see the owner & he hardly looks moved. Rubs it & says, 'ah it's okay now?'. I try to explain in simple English that this is unacceptable. This woman should NEVER do this to someone else! He nods & says ok. I said I would like my money back & for you to sit down with that woman. He says OK he will talk with her. He tells me to come back 'later' so I write a yelp review.

I've been in search of a cheap, quick, convenient mani/pedi... and I think I finally found it. This place is definitely very small, but they were able to squeeze me in on a busy day. $20 mani/ pedi plus a complimentary neck massage? Don't mind if I do!

I wish I didn't have to post this review after coming to this nail salon a few times already, but…read morethis was by far the worst pedicure I have EVER gotten. When I sat down in the chair, I specifically told the person doing my nails that I had not gotten a pedicure in awhile (6 months actually) since the last time I got one, they cut the sides of my toenails and I got such bad ingrowns and my nails literally split from how bad they were. I had to grow them out for that long and had not touched them so my right toenail was a little uneven from the split. She said Ok and said she would be careful. She asked if she could cut just the top of the nail to make it even and square. I said yes, and then repeated that I did NOT want anything on the sides of my toes touched. Despite MULTIPLE times telling her that, she took it upon herself to "clean up" the sides of my big toenails by cutting them at a 45° angle.... the EXACT thing that the previous salon did that absolutely destroyed my nails. When I realized, I asked her, and she tried to defend herself while lying multiple times. She had the audacity to say 1. My nails were already like that, then changed her story to 2. That she was "cutting away" the excess nail polish she had put on away". And then again changed her story to 3. That she actually didn't cut them at all and didn't know what I was talking about. I then said, no you absolutely cut them, why would you cut the inside of the nail when I SPECIFICALLY said at least 2-3 times not to? She replied with, well they're already cut, I can't do anything now. AND THEN TRIED TO CUT THE SIDES AGAIN MORE SAYING SHE WAS TRYING TO FIX IT. I literally had to push her hand away and say "absolutely not, please stop touching my nail." When I walked in, I asked for 2 coats funny bunny, 1 coat bubble bath. Well, 7 coats later and her saying bubble bath wouldn't look very good. I had to accept that my nails were just not going to look acceptable at al. You can actually still see the brush strokes of the polish... AFTER 7 COATS!! It was absolutely absurd how they could not achieve a simple combination that is by far the most popular nail polish combo right now. After she said she was done, I paid, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was on the bridge of tears knowing how long it had taken me to recover from my previous nail fiasco and how long it was going to take to recover from this. I am getting married in August and honestly so sad that my nails might still be affected by this. When I got home, I burst into tears and couldn't believe the state of my nails. After more inspection, I realized she DIDN'T EVEN PAINT MY RIGHT PINKY TOE!!!! I am going to a wedding abroad on Wednesday, so as you can imagine, I was pissed. I had to file down some of my other nails because they were shaped so badly. My big toes don't even look the same shape. I walked back into the store before a dinner reservation and asked for a refund. She asked me to take off my shoes so she could inspect my toes. I told her what had happened and that my pinky toe wasn't even painted. She said she couldn't offer me a refund, just a gift certificate since the service was completed. I responded with... well not really cause my toe was not painted and she specifically did something I asked her not to do. I didn't even mention how bad the nail polish application was since I thought it was pretty fricken apparent and had an uber waiting. I ended up taking the gift certificate since I was in a hurry, and they said I could come back to get them redone and there would be a different person there to do them. I don't know why they would think I would EVER go back there again, but I will be filing a dispute with my CC company. So sad since I had been here multiple times before and live down the street. Would NOT recommend.

I have to say, I was a little skeptical because it's in a prime Union Street location and I thought…read moreit would be bougie and over priced. I got there Saturday afternoon about 4pm. I was just in for an over due pedicure. There was a mix of men and women in chairs getting their nails done. There's a really good selection of colors to choose from. I went with a soft pink for my toes. They have nice massage chairs and while you're soaking your feet, they bring you a heated shoulder pad the drape on. I almost left with it still on because I forgot it was there! They did a super job. I wish they cut my nails shorter because my pinkie toes still had sharp edges. Yikes. When I asked, someone filed them and they were just right.
