| July 12, 2026 | This is my first and last time coming here. My normal girl at her salon is on mat leave so I decided to try a new spot that I was told about and had seen so much on IG. You are emailed and texted about your date, time and service. I had completed the necessary forms the day prior. I came here today a few minutes late but called ahead to let them know I would be 5 minutes late for my 1pm appointment. Upon arrival, I checked in at the front and on the screen was told to take a seat. I waited a few minutes before my technician came out with her tools and came to get me and if i needed a drink but there were some drinks at the table while I was waiting so I grabbed a water. At 1:20, I was texting my friend about my experience and how it was just so awful already. I told Saya what shape I wanted, what color I was looking for (green with some shimmer) and the length. When I told Saya this, I felt like she was like really? THATS what you want? Which is funny because she said the color without any shimmer was pretty towards the end of my service. I wasn't given any suggestions or collaboration with me with what I communicated. I also felt like Saya was just hacking away at my nails as she was filing and shaping my nails. This made me feel so uneasy when I knew the cuticles part was coming. I was nicked a few times and I should NOT be cringing and flinching so much during my manicure that I lost count. Also during the process, my hands were sprayed with rubbing alcohol so many times which because of my nicks stung, I was going to lose it if my hands were sprayed with it one more time. Saya did check in with me a few times on the shape and the color but she asked me if I wanted just one coat of color or two which I thought was confusing because she had already done one finger with two coats and then proceeded to ask if I wanted one for the others which I didn't because of the light vs. dark shade. One of my thumbs was bubbly looking and she made it seem like I had caused it when my thumb was in there or my whole hand as instructed so she had to redo it. I noticed that one of my fingers on my left hand wasn't filed enough so she fixed it. I seriously could not wait to end the service and leave the salon, I just said yes everything was fine afterwards. I was just so over it. For a top technician, there was just too many issues to my liking and I was so annoyed. You can see in my photos and videos that the polish isn't an even layer and my right hand OMG! I went home and just decided to file it and try to fix it to make it better. I'm just amazed that this is the work of a top technician. Upon paying and leaving finally, the receptionist asked me how everything was that I was just so baffled that I said it was fine. I was given a gift bag which after my service, made sense there was a filer. I was asked if my technician told me about the $25 extra fee for removal of a work from another salon but I was not communicated that so they did waive it. I was aware of it as I had seen it on the website and told them that but they waived the fee. I wasn't going to argue that! Haha I don't normally do negative reviews, but this seriously has my mind so blown and I'm usually a pretty calm easy going person that this experience has me so riled up!
Just moved to the SF and was in need of a nail spot as good as the ones in NY. This place is legit! My nails turned out soooo good and the salon is so clean, chic. Can't wait to come back!
My ombré extensions manicure was the best manicure I have gotten in many years! I hope I'm able get the same services for my nails here for a long time they did everything above my expectations I can't wait to come back!!

Once you get a Russian manicure, it's honestly hard to stray away, the attention to detail and precision are just on another level. My nails always look so clean, polished, and perfect, and they last a month. The entire experience is consistently amazing, and I leave obsessed with my nails every single time. You can really tell how much care goes into the prep, shaping, and every little detail. If you've never tried a Russian manicure before, this is the place to do it. They also offer complimentary drinks and keep the place impeccable. Angelina and Jay are great!
I've heard about this place for a while. My coworkers were raving about getting a Russian manicure and how healthy it is for your nails so I finally decided to jump the gun. I was able to get a same day appointment after 5pm which is ideal cause I work till then! Came in early and was able to wait in the waiting area and was offered drinks from their menu that are complimentary. I booked with Siia, which first of all, she's so sweet and amazing. We immediately got aquinted and she informed me on the process and what I wanted and how to achieve the look I'm looking for. I love how thorough she was and felt seen on all parts. They had a TV playing a show which was nice. Overall the process was nice to see as a first timer with a Russian manicure! Siia also got exactly what I was looking for. Recommending this place to friends and investing in their nail health!

My first gel x Russian manicure and I am obsessed! I pick and bite my nails and cuticles so badly and they fixed me up so good!!! My nails look exactly like the picture I showed. I am coming back!!
I've been here 5(?) times now I think. I've always seen a middle tier nail tech. Started at $100 for a Russian hard gel manicure (dry manicure). Recently went up to $110. I think it's worth the price. I try to go every 5, sometimes push it to 6, weeks. Everyone pays so much attention to detail. The cuticle work is great, the painting also great. The nail techs are pretty quiet because they're very focused on your nails. I only had an issue my very first time here with a nail chipping, but they have a 1 week free fix if something happens. I got my nail fixed a few days after the week passed because I was on vacation when it happened, and they fixed it when I got back into town. I haven't had issues after that so was probably a weird fluke. My nails last 5 weeks, and if I didn't have nail growth showing, I could go longer between appointments. I always get compliments on my nails because they're always so perfectly polished and clean. The shop is very clean. I think they have 3-4 chairs for pedicures and 9 stations for manicures. They also do lashes and brows here, but I can't review that because I've never had mine done here.

I've been coming to LOOK AT ME SF for a while, and they never disappoint! They specialize in dry manicures, and the quality is always amazing. I wash my hands constantly, and my nails still last up to 4 weeks, so they're definitely worth the price. I also appreciate the 7-day warranty. The only downside was no hand massage whatsoever and my pedicure. They could do a better job cleaning under and around the toenails. However, I really like that they use an e-file on my feet. I had my hard gel removed at this salon and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The technician excessively filed my natural nails during the removal process, leaving them extremely thin and sensitive. Four days later, my nails are still painful and uncomfortable when pressure is applied. I had to cut them very short because of the discomfort. I understand that some sensitivity can occur after gel removal, but this level of pain and damage is not something I expected from a professional salon. I am very disappointed with the service and would not return. I trusted the salon to remove the product safely, but the process was far too aggressive. I hope this feedback helps prevent other clients from having the same experience. read more

I had the BEST experience at Look At Me Nail Salon! I had Anjela and she was seriously the sweetest -- so kind, warm, and attentive. My nails turned out SO beautiful and somehow look incredibly natural and healthy, which is exactly what I wanted! The salon itself has such a good vibe, and every staff member I interacted with was so kind and welcoming. You can really tell they care about making you feel comfortable and taken care of. So happy to find an SF nail salon that offers a flawless milky-pink Russian hard gel manicure! My appointment was with Alla Lyzohub, she absolutely crushed it. My nails look so good and she was lovely, meticulous, and fast. Atmosphere was on par with most salons. Love the phone stands. I generally pop in my ear buds and zone out. Thank you! I am genuinely blown away by this spot and I have absolutely converted to being a russian manicure enthusiast. I do not anticipate doing a "regular manicure" ever again. I opt for the Top Nail Tech Russian Hard Gel manicure and it looks so crisp and clean each time. Everyone's nail anatomy is different, but I can definitely go up to a month and there's no nail polish lifting whatsoever, it's simply grown out. I have seen Aya twice and she is so sweet and very gentle with my nails and cuticles. They do allow tipping on card which is great, the service here is top notch! I love how they offer drinks while you're waiting (or during the service) and they are very respectful of your appointment time. The first time I went, I had to pay for a nail polish removal from another salon ($25) but if you are a returning Look At Me customer, they do not charge you for the removal of your last manicure, which I greatly appreciate. The second time I went, I did have a broken nail to be fixed ($10) so my total last time with tip was $180. I can't wait to be back! I have come in three times, including for my wedding in November, and have been impressed every single time! I've gotten three pedicures and two gel x manis with French tips. I love that the space is beautiful, the service is attentive (they always offer drinks and treats), and the work really does last. The nails are a worthwhile investment and a special bit of luxury. Best manicure I've ever received in my entire life. I have extremely short round nails which I never paint because I feel like they're a lost cause sometimes. I was extremely nervous about getting the gel x extensions (I've never done extensions and I worried they would look strange or fake on me) but Nataly did a phenomenal job--they look truly beautiful and I can't stop looking at them! I felt truly taken care of and I can't wait for everyone to see the nails on my wedding day! Reduced from 3 stars to 1. They texted me offering $50 on my next visit lol. My French tips chipped in exactly 7 days ( they offer 7 day guarantee). I will not be going back to have them fix it nor ever again. They are so lazy and unprofessional. I have been doing my own nails for years, so I knew when they added French on top of my top coat then cured another layer of top coat it would chip so easy. These people take advantage of customers who they assume know nothing about nails. Not the worst experience ever but worst "luxury" experience for sure. read more
