I came in here to have a mani pedi something I don't often do. Not my first time I believe maybe the third . So it's a lovely shop with maybe 5 massage type chairs the one I had had seen better days not functioning but that's fine . I actually originally chose this place because another woman was going across the street where I used to go but said this was better or something to that effect that's all it took for me. They have a wall of colors like most shops but the best thing to me is they are open till 7:30 that 1/2 hour makes all the difference. So they do a hot stone scrub on your feet plus a massage. The manicure comes also with a massage. They offer gel manicure and pedicures , waxing and eyelash extensions as well . They work from early in the morning till evening time . They do a fantastic job and are very kind .

I came in with just expectations of getting white French tips but my manicure stylist, Xinh suggested chrome and a little cute flower design and I couldn't be happier with the results. Linh did my pedicure and she was also great! I like the vibe of this store. The store is well staffed so I didn't feel rushed during the session.
Worst manicure of my life. Tulip did an awful job, she skipped steps in the manicure. She kept refusing to cut one hand shorter to make it even with the other and said she'll file it. She didn't clean my nails before top coat and sealed lint and dust in every nail. My design looks horrible. At the end of the manicure, she didn't wipe my hand or add oil/ lotion. And I was left with hands covered in e-file dust. On top of that they insisted I pay $20 for the design that was atrocious. When I said that wasn't fair and showed the lady at the register, she forcefully grabbed my hands and tried to file ALL the polish that was cured onto my skin. I kept pulling my hand back and she kept pulling it. I've never had an experience so poor.
i finally found a good nail salon in the city. i love a good acrylic set and they did an amazing job. i am so picky about the shape of my nails and the man did absolutely amazing. he was so attentive and perfected the nail shape the way i love just based on one photo . will be my regular place! i work as a bartender and my nails have lasted over three weeks with the exception of one (which is my fault due to my job). i can't wait for my next set !
Visited glitz and glam twice, once for a wax, and once for a gel x removal / manicure. The wax got the job done. Some spots didn't fully get the hair pulled from the root, and just ripped it which made it not last that long, but that could just be because of thin hair. The manicure also got the job done. It looks great from a distance, but there is definitely some texture when you look up close. The removal was super quick and painless. This service was $70 total.

Overall, I thought my nails turned out nice, but I do wish my nail artist had applied more than one coat of polish on the French tips, as they looked a bit sheer in the sun. My biggest concern, however, was the price. I was charged $160 for the set, which was honestly surprising. As someone who gets Gel-X nails done regularly, I've never paid anywhere near that much before. While I appreciated the friendly service and liked the overall result, I don't feel the price reflected what I received.

But the person didn't paint most of my nail leaving the sides unpainted and the a lot of space between the polish and the cuticle. The picture is from the same day as the day I got the manicure and I didn't push the cuticle back or anything. I'm guessing they have lots of regulars and don't want new people to start coming in. They were nice but not a high quality job.

She did a beautiful job The salon is clean and organized with lots of color and design choices. I reserved online and was seen very quickly. All the staff were very nice and skilled. I had to remove the polish once I got home. My gel manicure looks like it was done over a week ago. The polish is so far from the cuticle. Biggest waste of $85. Would not recommend to come here!

During my last trip to visit 6 months ago, I stopped for a basic pedi. Mediocre, not the best, it chipped fast and I figured okay, just an off day. Now that I moved back to SF, I Came back a week ago to give another shot (again been coming here for ages before I moved away) and I don't know what's happened but it's not cute. This is nothing against the owner or workers, they're all nice and friendly and I like them! Just my pedi is less clean than usual and my manicure... well the paint isnt even, plus you can clearly see where the top coat was not applied/not applied evenly, and I've still got sloppy cuticles somehow lol. I don't know if it was a lazy Sunday or they were in a rush but... the quality isn't the same as I remember. They can do amazing art and have tons of options and colors but I paid $85 for a regular polish mani and pedi and I'm less than pleased. Sigh on to the next one I guess!
I got my nails done here and was initially very happy with them. Unfortunately, they started popping off within a week. I tried calling multiple times over two days to get them fixed, but no one answered the phone. I ended up going in person to ask if they could fix the issue, and instead of helping, I was told to "just call." That was frustrating, considering I had already tried calling several times with no response. I was really disappointed with how the situation was handled. Never coming here again.
I usually don't write reviews, and I've been coming here for years, so this is really disappointing. Two weeks ago, I came in for a regular gel manicure, but just two days later one of my nails started chipping, and by the next day the entire gel polish had come off. The following week I went back and showed them how my nails looked after such a short time. They kindly redid my nails complimentary, which I appreciated. However, the very next day the polish started chipping again and the nails looked very textured. I don't have a job that requires heavy use of my hands, and I'm not a nail biter. I've also never had this issue with gel manicures at other places. Because of that, I'm really disappointed with the experience.
My go-to nail salon in SF! Been coming here for a few months. The owner Heidi is always so nice! Love the upgraded interior with comfortable massage chairs! I usually get gel medi & pedi. My nails always came out great.

I came here because of the stellar reviews and nail pics on Yelp and social media, but the service and quality of work were extremely disappointing and did not match my expectations. I do not recommend getting a Gel-X mani here. First, the recommendation I was given didn't make sense. My natural nails had grown out pretty long, so I asked for hard gel. Multiple staff members recommended Gel-X extensions instead for the design I wanted. My natural nails were only slightly shorter than my reference image, but I wanted to trust their expertise. I was wrong. I chose the shorter extension length and it ended up being the same length of my natural nail before the tech cut them, so the extensions added nothing and I unnecessarily had my nails cut. Second, the application quality doesn't match the price. There are ill-fitting corners throughout. Rather than sizing up to an extension that fit my nail bed, the tech filed down my side walls to force the smaller one to fit, which hurt. One extension on my index finger is visibly crooked. I pointed it out and was told it looked straight - looking at it again and in photos, it's clearly off-center. There's also still cured gel on my skin, which is a contact dermatitis risk. Third, the pricing was not transparent. I paid $115 for a Gel-X removal and Gel-X manicure. The pricing on the website and at check-in is confusing, and when I showed my inspiration photo up front, no one quoted me. The tech told me the price, $155, only after she had already started the design. I got it down to $115 by dropping the star flakes, which were $40 on their own. I want to pay techs fairly for their work, but $40 for star flakes isn't worth it. To be fair, there were genuine positives. I called to let them know I was running 10 minutes late and the staff were completely understanding about it. And when I asked for a swirl cat eye design, my tech told me upfront that it was above her skill level rather than overpromising. She still gave it a shot, and I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, I can't recommend this place. The quality of work and service don't match the price, and what frustrates me more is that the staff didn't listen to my questions and were quick to shut me down instead of working with me. Given the reviews here, I'll assume this isn't the standard, and that it's fixable. read more

I came here because some of the SF influencer girlie's rave about this place and their nails look really good. I was expecting really good welcoming service and I just felt it didn't mean my expectations. No one was rude, but the energy in there just felt low. I personally didn't like my nails and I went in for my wedding nails. I showed the guy a picture of my nails and it definitely wasn't what I wanted, but they were bridal enough that I just didn't say anything. I don't think I'll come back. read more

DATES: Sunday, January 31st, 2021 - SNS Dip Powder & Gel Pedicure Monday, June 14th, 2021 - Classic Spa Mani & Pedi Friday, December 24th, 2021 - Classic Spa Mani & Pedi Monday, June 6th, 2022 - Classic Spa Mani & Pedi Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 - Classic Spa Mani & Pedi Friday, September 1st, 2023 - Classic Spa Mani & Pedi & Brazilian Wax I've been here many times over the years. Ever since I've been WFH, this is my go to spot. It's super convenient and easy to get to. Plus, parking is never really an issue. I can always easily find street parking. The first time I came here, I was still working out and running, so I needed something a little more durable. They did a great job with my dip powder and gel pedi. They both lasted forever. And I seriously couldn't get the mani off to save my life. Thank goodness my nails grow quickly. Ever since then, if I have a beachy vacay to go on, I come back for their classic mani and pedi. They do a great job and it lasts my whole trip. (Last one was two weeks.) I can't recall the pricing, but I think it is currently $60 for both services if you do them as a combo. The brazilian wax here is kinda weird. They take you to a room in the back to do it. If memory serves, it has two beds, so I think maybe they do multiple services at once with the curtains closed to separate. It doesn't feel very relaxing or spa like which was fine with me. But just a note if that is what you are looking for. It kinda felt like you were getting a wax in their storage room. I didn't care as all I wanted was to get everything off. They did a fine job. Not the greatest wax I've had. Some of the hair just ripped instead of being plucked by the root. But it worked for my vacation, so that is all I cared about. Good spot for manicures and pedicures. Tho I would think twice about their waxing services. Or maybe just their Brazilian waxes. I was on a time crunch so just needed to do both quickly. Definitely recommend for mani and pedis tho. Note - They have a loyalty card which I've never taken advantage of. I think it's buy something like 8 and get 1 free. If you are good at keeping those loyalty cards on hand, make sure to get one. I, however, am horrible at keeping track of paper and will probably never be able to take advantage of this. read more

I've been a returning customer and used to really enjoy coming here with my husband. Rose was the lady that usually does my nails for me and pedicure, but was not in today. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. However, my recent visit was a bit disappointing. I mentioned some concerns about how my nails were turning out. They kindly offered to fix it, but I declined since I know layering more gel can lead to cracking or lifting, which unfortunately happened not long after I left. I also asked for help with my cuticles, which tend to grow fast and thick. The tech said she'd take care of it later, but then got pulled away to help another customer and didn't return to finish. I understand salons can get busy, and the staff is doing their best. I just hope they can better balance quality service for everyone. It was not busy at all. Just me and another customer. One more thing to mention. When I went to pay, I asked to use my card for the service and get some cash back for a tip. The response felt a bit tense, and the money was taken from my hand in a way that felt rushed and frustrated. I even asked if everything was okay, they said it's fine but you see in their face she was upset. I honestly never had these issues before in the nail salon. I don't think it was intentional, but it did make me feel uncomfortable. read more

Saw all the great reviews and took a leap of faith for my wedding nails. Was honestly disappointed. I recently moved into the neighborhood so I was looking for a new salon that was close by. While the nail tech did a great job with the ombré color, the application of the gel X extension nails were a nightmare. She didn't actually trim my cuticles or clean up the edges before applying them so there was already a noticeable gap between where the extension started and where my cuticles were...see photos. And there were like two nails that weren't sized correctly leaving an obvious gap. Looks alright from a distance but pretty janky up close. And this cost $95 before tip! *CRIES* read more

Fastest I've gotten my nails done in a while! Sometimes it takes two hours when I just do a mani, but they did my gel x mani and deluxe gel pedi in an hour, two different nail techs. Love how they came out! read more

Unfortunately, my recent experience here was not great. In addition to the nail tech, Linh, calling me fat several times (my phone's auto-translate picked this up) she did a very sloppy job doing a reverse French manicure and the lines are uneven and sloppy. I'm incredibly disappointed as I've only ever had amazing experiences from the other techs in the past and I always try to tip super well to show my appreciation. I guess I won't be coming back after this humiliating experience *edit: I received a call from Heidi, the owner, and she explained to me what Linh was talking about and it seems I misunderstood and that my phone only picked up a few random unfortunate words. They were very kind when doing my nails, but I got a gel manicure and it started to chip just a few days later and the polish is lifting/bubby in quite a few spots. I wanted to love this place, but for the prices they charge I expected the gel to last more than a few days. read more

Ok first off the people are nice but man what is the rush! I was in the chair at 5:40 pm and out the chair by 6:25. I felt like I was lighting McQueen at a pit stop and they were racing to see how quickly they can get me out the door. I for one love to get pampered and the awkward positions was not working for me. I messaged several salons to confirm they will soak my hands and not just drill they assured that was the process so I decided to check them out. Made an appt through Yelp for 5:30 pm today 4/6. I had two techs work on me. Tracy was in charge of my nails and Minh was for pedicure. Right away I mentioned that I wanted my nails soaked since I had dip and she said she was going to drill down some of the gel first and then soak. Now my feet were barely in the water so it was hard for him to remove any cuticles and I had to keep asking to get more of my hang nail out. Long story short- I kept waiting for my nails to get soaked and they never saw water and my feet barely did. I even asked if she was going to work on my cuticles which she said she was doing it after she finished with the polish since I was using the same color on my toes. She push back my cuticles after polish but now it looks like I need a fill when I just left the salon. Really bummed I had high hopes. I paid over $100 look like I still need a mani/pedi. A little soak goes a long way. I've included pictures of how my nails were done before at a different salon to see the difference. I know my hands and feet can clean up well just need a little more time and definitely not rush. Also no more drilling down to our nail beds. My nails feel so thin and they are sore. read more

-Sloppy and no attention to detail -minor mistakes on every nail -terrible sloppy nail art - rushed service (even though I made an appointment) - not cleanly store - Cannot do ombré -over charged I went in wanting a simple purple ombré with a chrome star detail on one nail. What I got was a bright electric purple with air brushed orange/red in the center. Air brushing was not even consistent across each nail. I brought up my concerns about each color in the very beginning (first nail, first coat) but they reassured me that it would be darker and that it's just the first coat. Same happened with the red color for the airbrushing. And the nail art... the pictures shown is AFTER I asked them to touch it up. And again that nail art was an extra $10. I sat with the nails for 2 days to see if it would grow on me but in the end, for $115 (without tip) I should have gotten the nails I wanted. I ended up calling to see if it was possible to have them redone and I was glad they said yes. ( I wouldn't normally ask to have my nails redone but I got them for a vacation) Second set (chrome blue): SLOPPY AGAIN. You can see in the pictures now portly done the second set of nails was. Star nail art was SO BAD I chose to just do ONE COLOR because I didn't trust that they could do a design anymore but they couldn't even apply one color cleanly. I am extremely disappointed and I with I could get my money back. I should have to nit pick every little detail where they messed up that is not what I am paying for read more
