The massage was not bad but I can tell that the masseur is quite green in massaging based on my massage experience. Mentioned the work needed most to work on before we started the session. I felt that the masseur was trying to cover his course of massage, may be with just spending very little extra time on the tight side as needed. When trying to loosen a knot, he would still use his elbow to just push through the knot over and over. Knot is still there. Imagine how uncomfortable it was. He didn't work on the pressure point or may not even notice where the tight area was. My body was not relaxed after the massage. With the high price of this place, I have high expectation but was very disappointed. I guess if you just want to have a relaxing time, it may work. But if you have areas to work on, it is not the place.

It was as if he never got his deep tissue massage. I'm deeply saddened because my husband still ended up paying out of pocket (expensive massage) and he did not feel relaxed after. On top of that, my husband sends me pictures of the locker room that was under construction and said guys were going on and out while he was changing. Very disappointing experience compared to the many other massage spots in SF.

There were about 20 guests at any given time in the wet baths area. Love the towels in ice and the cucumber and lemon water The locker area can be a tight squeeze during peak times (especially right before people are starting their massage appointments) so I sat to the side and waited for it to clear out. Only one blowdryer, it is in the restroom in the larger hallway. Please hang your towel and stuff up and don't leave it on chairs or lounger. There wasn't enough lie down lounge space and someone claimed one chair the whole 4 hours I was there (they weren't actively using it)

Anyways, won't be coming back, if the business knows who she is, consider firing her because she will ruin your ability to get new customers and cause friction with existing ones. It only takes one bad experience to lose business, especially with so many other options nearby and in SF.

1 good massage, 1 *very* poor…read more I and my girlfriend booked a 1 hour couples massage from Heaven Day Spa. My masseuse, Nicole was good. Unlike my girlfriends massage therapist, who was terrible. From the get go, her masseuse had an unfriendly, impersonal attitude, almost as if she didn't want to be there. In the massage room, she didn't use oil, lotion, or talc, and spent a lot of her time walking around the room. When she did deign to offer a massage, she only attempted to massage my girlfriends neck (a combination of light pinching and stroking), and briefly fluffed her hair, despite her asking for a full body massage that focused on her neck and head. Her technique seemed untrained, random, and without method. After complaining at the front desk, and paying for the massage (at this point I didn't realize how bad my girlfriends massage had been, else I wouldn't have paid), we were assured that the manager, Mr. Scott (?), would call us to discuss our complaint. It's been a week now, and no call from Mr. Scott. As a customer, you are at the mercy of the individual masseurs/masseuses. Some of them are great, some of them are definitely not. We won't be returning.

I saw that this place had good ratings so I booked an appointment online. Since this is my first time here, I have no idea what my aesthetician looks like (context for later). I went upstairs where they were located and it looked like someone was working on another client's brows or something. So I was like "excuse me, I have an appointment right now". The lady instantly turned on hostile aggro mode for no reason. She asked me in a very condescending tone "are you sure you're at the right place? Because theres a lot of places nearby". Like what? What is that supposed to mean? Why would I be lost? There's only one Rosewater skincare on this street right? So I looked at the sign to double check, yup, it says Rosewater...and I asked "this is Rosewater right?". And then she said "yeah, what service do you have, who is it with?". I didn't remember off top of my head who it was with, but I told her it was for a facial. She said she would contact her colleague and told me to sit down. I double check my email and contacted the number listed on the email, no response. Turns out later that this number on the email is either wrong or not used. A few minutes passed as she continues to work on her client and then eventually she was like "you should contact heather, she tried calling you and said your appointment is actually monday". Dumbfounded by the continual rudeness even though I was nothing but respectful the whole time, I was like "ok I'll call her but I have an email confirming its for today..." I also asked whats her number because the one in the email doesn't seem to reach anyone. I checked my phone log and saw 2 missed calls (I get a lot of spam calls so I turn unknown phone calls off) so I asked if that was the number. To which she said yes. I was able to reach Heather and she profusely apologized for having the dates mixed up and offered to remedy the situation later today or this week. Unfortunately, that was the only time I was available. I work fulltime and every other time I am free, I have to do stuff for my move to nyc. I understand that people make mistakes and I do appreciate Heather trying to remedy the situation. But my interaction with her colleague was so disrespectful, demeaning and uncomfortable that it honestly soured my impression of the business. I really got the feeling that this lady was "judging a book by its cover" like theres no way someone like me could afford a facial in this bougie neighborhood. I did nothing to deserve this treatment so the only other reasoning would be that she doesn't think I fit the stereotypical lulu wearing clientele here. Maybe she was having a bad day but I doubt that cause she was laughing it up with her client...well, like they say, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

YAy, glad i found this cheap mani/pedi salon on my favorite district. . and best of all their pretty cheap compared to most other salons. It really depends who you get as your pedi/manicurist, I usually get the lady with the really long shiny black hair, she wear's glasses sometimes, really sweet lady, she does my toes to the t (perfection) Best thing is that their now doing these GET 8 mani/peds, and receive a free one. So far i got mines stamped twice, oh i got my card from my manicurist, but im sure you can just grab it near the front, its on the back of their business cards. Pretty good deal I would say, a free anything is always good. Definitely will come back again, to earn my free pampering. read more

Who doesn't want a free mani pedi. . .since i live near by, after recently having left new york city, i wanted to find myself a small chic nai salon. I usually tend to avoid those hip ultra expensive salons, since anyone painting my toes and nails is much better than me doing it myself. Nice atmosphere, good music, tons of magazines which keeps me occupied during my session, and for those germaphobic people out there, I noticed their equipment comes pre-sterilized in a little sealed pouch, and the tubs they use for my mani is always covered in some kind of disposable plastic lining. Clean , clean pretty feet, what more can a girl ask for read more

These girls are very nice and professional. I had the best mani pedi here last week and I love the fact that they sterilize everything they use on you. The pedi baths are covered with plastic which protects you from unwanted bacteria and fungus! Cleanliness is so important when it comes to mani/pedi and these guys are really good at it. They are great value for great nail place. read more
