The lobby is decorated with driftwood and other organic elements, lending to a calming, inviting atmosphere. We were welcomed warmly and escorted to our shared massage room. Baskets are provided for disrobing. Massage bed heat is adjustable. In the background, piano music, river sounds, and healing frequencies played softly. My massage therapist, Jen, was amazing! So attentive and receptive to any feedback. The pressure and amount of oil used for the deep tissue massage was perfect. She made sure to spend ample time on my focus areas (scalp and shoulders)-- I felt so relaxed from head to toe. The massage ended with hot towels on our feet, which felt incredible. We were offered water and tea. After checking out, my friend happened to mention that the trip was for my birthday-- and the receptionist even gifted a few goodies for us to take home. I was thinking about treating myself to a spa and massage appointment during my birthday month while I took time off, but what I didn't anticipate was that I actually needed these appointments because my body was in terrible pain all of a sudden. I called around with no luck for last minute appointments from other spa/massage places, but luckily I remember Redmint from a prior Yelp Elite Experience. Thankfully they were great and booked me immediately for a lymphatic detox appointment with Grace. After Grace started her session with me for the first time, she immediately modified our appointment to more of a Customized Deep Tissue Massage as I was in a lot of pain. On our second session, she used a mix of customized deep tissue and lymphatic detox massage to help me. I came out of that appointment with bruises but I'm so thankful for the massages as I'm feeling much better. I'm not 100% yet so I will book another session soon. I also plan on trying other services as well in the near future. The Redmint space at Fillmore is amazing. Located on the second floor. Even better than the Union space I visited prior. Many certified professionals like Ariella deserved such high praise for taking good care of me during the 50-minute session in Redmint of Lower Pacific Heights. The cranial sacral massage was so relaxing and satisfying that I felt like I'll start to fall asleep once I head back home last evening. Some relaxing music, the few sounds of the gong, and one feels like being on an endless journey to enlightenment. All it takes was to communicate with a certified professional so that I could continue to be at ease. I once had a deep tissue massage concentrated on my upper back in Wela Thai Massage; but here in Redmint, it's much better. Of course, the 50-minute session was just a tip of the iceberg. To go even deeper means to pay thrice as much. I did have the Relax & Chill latte after a refreshing session. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. I purchased for 2/8 a double massage for my parents as a gift while my mom was visiting me. I specifically requested a deep tissue massage for my mom and a Swedish massage for my dad. I also clearly told the front desk that my parents do not speak English well, which is why I explained exactly which massage each of them needed. I even wrote the same information in the notes on the intake form before the appointment. Despite all of that, they received the opposite services -- my mom got the Swedish massage and my dad received the deep tissue massage. The front desk also mentioned that my mom would receive a complimentary goodie bag, but she never received anything. I spent almost $500 including tips because I wanted my parents to have a relaxing and special experience together. Unfortunately, the entire experience was ruined due to poor communication and lack of attention to the request that was clearly explained multiple times. Very disappointing. read more

I am updating my disappointing September review after extensive phone calls with the manager of both branches, Fillmore and Union, Heidi Jones. After Heidi saw my disastrous review of how one of her newer staff handled my situation and how upsetting it was for me to be charged for a no-show under such stressful and extenuating circumstances, she refunded me the total amount that her staff had originally charged, which alleviated me from that much stress (I was prepared to call my card company to dispute such an unfair charge). Not ONLY did Heidi refund me for the appointment I could not make due to my car accident on my way over to Redmint Fillmore, she also offered to rebook my original lymphatic massage appointment along with an acupuncture appointment with her two best therapists, Ari and Diane, respectively. After a month of healing and sorting the accident details out, I finally took Heidi up on the rebook offer and went into the wellness center with cautious optimism, but I really did trust Heidi had my best interest in mind and trusted her selection of therapists for my health circumstance. The appointments were exceptional, and Heidi was very accommodating with me on adding a cupping treatment on top of my acupuncture with Diane for optimal results and relaxation. The time passed by quickly and both Diane and Ari were very friendly and medically knowledgable therapists in their respective areas (even beyond). Both made me feel comfortable with the treatments they were doing with me and very pleasant to speak with. Both therapists (and Heidi) also listened carefully to my current ailments or trouble areas and I feel very relaxed and refreshed, even the day after. If there is ever a mediocre or disappointing experience at Redmint that you have had, I highly recommend reaching out to Heidi directly, via phone or direct messaging. Just ask for her contact with the center's staff, and they will likely give it to you without trouble. Heidi will right any wrongs and is one of the few business managers in SF who still cares about client experience and satisfaction. She is a wonderful human being, filled with empathy and a true focus on client wellness, both mental and physical. Thank you again, I am glad we could get everything sorted, and I look forward to my next appointments here with the staff! We went here for a birthday party with 6 ladies in need of a spa day. The team there was so helpful and accommodating and really delivered more than we anticipated. We got there and they had prepared a sign saying happy birthday to our birthday girl, and had a table set up on their adorable patio. We brought champagne and sat outside until they called us each back. Everyone LOVED their massages. Multiple people saying it was the best massage they had ever had. Once we were all done we came out and they had little gift bags prepared for us with the birthday girl getting the biggest one filled with full sized products! I feel like the value wasn't quite there for what I paid, especially considering that someone more junior handled my session. The place itself is calm and inviting, and I noticed two patrons being well treated with tea, which added to the serene atmosphere. However, I had to ask for tea myself, which made me feel a bit awkward. I also noticed some tension among the staff--it seemed like one of the senior therapists was unhappy that the receptionist booked me with a more junior therapist. Overall, I'd say it's a decent spot, but the pricing doesn't quite match the experience for newer therapists. Beautiful, relaxing experience at this serene hideout located in Lower Pac Heights. Opted for an 80 mins deep tissue massage with Megan who was wonderfully skilled at getting the kinks out of my body. Felt like jello after she was finished and ready to tackle the rest of my day. The facility is extremely clean and quite spacious with a patio in the back if you want to relax outdoors during your visit. There's also a health bar in the front if you're feeling thirsty for some smoothies or elixirs. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. While the massage treatments themselves were fine, I do not recommend Rendmint due to their incapable management and appalling customer service. ***** Last Saturday, I treated my friend and myself to a massage. We arrived on time and I was taken first to the room for a deep tissue massage. I was interrupted TWO times in the middle of my session where the masseuse was pulled away by front desk leaving me naked on the table with the door open. Apparently the masseuse treating me should have been treating my friend . After much commotion, I received a totally new masseuse. Despite the interruptions and delays to my treatment, the session ended at the original start time. My friend's treatment did not start until 20 minutes after the start time due to RedMint's errors. Her treatment was extremely rushed and incomplete. Instead of honoring the original 50 minute session, they ended at the original start time despite the 20 min late start. Instead of a 50 min treatment, she only received a 30minutes treatment. Instead of trying to correct for their mishaps, I had to ask request to speak to the manager. After speaking to Shivon, the manager, they agreed to take 20% off the services. They were not able to figure out how to correct the bill. After waiting for an additional 30 minutes,I asked that they follow up over email to confirm the transaction was corrected. Since then, I received NO email follow up. I called multiple times to speak to the manager and supervisor, whom i was told will call me back when they didn't. Since then, I've received no price adjustment and no communication. I understand mistakes happen but the lack of follow up, communication, and basic customer service is appalling. read more

They take a holistic approach and ask about why you're there and what you want to achieve. They'll ask about your diet, lifestyle, whatever and give you great recommendations! Took my sister here as a birthday gift - she got a custom deep tissue and I got a lymphatic drainage massage. Seating area and rooms were very nice and calming, I love that they have wellness lattes you can order (we got the detox and they were pretty good). My sister said her experience was great, the masseuse was very attentive and asked what she wanted so it was truly custom. I however had a different experience. It was my first time getting a lymphatic massage, so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was mostly very light (and ticklish) tapping along my neck, armpits, legs. My stomach was barely touched at all. It was a very calming environment. There are outdoor areas to sit and relax. The rooms are nicely set up and the beds are heated which is nice. I got the deep tissue massage which came with lots of stones and hot towels. They ask you what areas you would like to focus on before starting so it was a custom massage. Some parts of the massage felt a little bit off and there was more pressure on my spine than I would like, but overall pleasant. The only thing I really didn't like was that there was way too much oil used. I was asked if I wanted oil on my face which I said a little was okay, but there was a lot used and it was used in my hair as well which I did not like and wasn't asked about before. I would recommended getting this massage at the end of your day or when you don't need to be somewhere right after. I definitely needed to wash off and my hair was soaked in oil. Had a day to myself in San Fran and scheduled a hydrafacial with Queenie and deep tissue massage with Megan. The facial was great (just super expensive for what you get) and Queenie was really friendly. However, the deep tissue massage with Megan was the WORST one I have ever received in my lifetime, and I have received many (I am from New York City). Here are the reasons why: 1) She told me to undress for my massage, but didn't knock before she came in. Common courtesy is to knock... 2) I told her which areas I would like her to focus on (lower back, knot on my glute and shoulders), but would still like her to do my full body, which she agreed to. After 50 min, the front side of both of my legs were still UNTOUCHED. I was hoping to have my tight quads kneaded. Before she left, she told me she couldn't do my full body, which left me confused. I am not sure why she didn't adjust if she was aware she was running out of time. 3) I asked her to remove a knot on my glute that I have had for about 2 months. She did it DRY under rough sheets, so I kindly asked her if she can put oil because the dry rubbing of sheets on my glutes was very painful. (Remember, this is a deep tissue massage.) She responded: "I personally am not familiar with using oil on this part of the body." WTH?? Yeah... so on top of a painful knot, I also gained rug burn on my butt. 4) She spent like 50% of the massage using her elbows on my upper traps. I had to ask her to do it lighter because she kept using her elbows and repeated the same motion over and over again (maybe 15x per side), often close to my spine. (And I have very high pain tolerance). Still, the pressure was not reduced. 5) One of the areas I wanted her to do was my lower back. This was not done. 6) The massage was $150. It is not cheap. Given the bad service I received, I asked that a tip of $15 be given to her, but they charged me 15% instead. I called to get this fixed today but nobody has picked up. 7) She is clearly an inexperienced deep tissue masseuse. Regrettably, I paid too much for this massage and left with still a knot on my glute + rug burns on my buttocks and prob bruises on my upper traps from her sharp elbows. 8) Lastly, if you are going to dig your fingers into my neck, PLEASE cut your nails! I am never coming back. read more
