They have therapeutic services for the mind and body, cosmetic products and tea bar available here. Mark was my masseuse and he really put pressure on where my tension was during the deep tissue massage session and focused on the areas that was really sore to me. No pain no gain is what I was thinking about when he was unknotting my tense body. At one point, I was even breaking a sweat! Service was attentive. A little on the pricey side for a massage and maybe for other services and products, but well staffed and one is paying for the relaxing touch here. Redmint, one of the best women owned businesses, was doing a great job taking care of us. Might come back for another round of herbal drinks which beat better than every cup of coffee or espresso. This time, I got to experience one of the best sessions that Redmint had recommended. Introducing the LED Tanning Bed! Its neon red glow radiates away the unwanted toxins in your body. I first, lay on my front side before turning the "start" button, say 20 minutes. When the tanning bed was automatically off, I got to switch to my back side as if I was lying in bed for an additional 20 minutes. That made me feel like a frozen dinner entreé on an open faced microwave oven before I'm well done. That felt good when I looked young again. Of course, wearing a pair of UV goggles was worth it during the tanning session. I know deep down that tanning wouldn't be enough for me to alleviate my lower back pain once I woke up the next day. My experience at Redmint was relaxing! The tea I tried upon arriving was warm and carved in a ceramic cup that I felt brought the flavor out more. The person there gave us a tour and told us about the services they offer. Very professional and informative. I got ear seed acupuncture cone and I can still feel them tender on my ear, but I do feel they have helped reduce my stress and helped me physically relax more. I must say, it's been a hot minute since I've written a review (I mean it's the pandemic right? We try to stay indoor and safe). Shoutout to the Community Manager, Carmina, for informing me that I was chosen for this Yelp Elite event. I'm so glad this was one of the events because it's been sitting in my bookmarked for awhile now, and due to the pandemic, they were closed for awhile. Luckily they're open again and what's a better way to welcome in a new year than with a holistic start. Very festive, modern, and zen style entrance, for a hole in the wall place located in the Marina district (advise to come on a Sunday so meters will be free, otherwise parking might be challenging). As you enter, I was lured by the harmony of Guzheng (古箏) and Yang Qin (洋琴), classical Chinese string instruments (live musics are weekends only from 1-4pm, I went on a Saturday, sadly Sunday 2/21 was their last day of live performance). A very clean and bright place, everyone was respectful of one another, wore masks (besides when we're enjoying our drinks), and social distanced. As a Yelp Elite, we were given a complimentary goody bag and a drink of your choice (herbal tea or coffee) - I went with a herbal latte (I believe it was #1 on their drink menu - Relax + chill) with soy milk (ask for their milk option, they have so many, like rice milk O_O) + honey. I must say, I'm not foreign to herbal teas aka "liang cha (涼茶)", but this is definitely my first time having it with milk, very interesting. At most, it's not bitter, accompany with a bit of milk foam on top, and the milk just soothes out the texture of your typical Chinese herbal tea. Coincidentally a couple of us Yelp Elites showed up around the same time so it got really busy for the lady at the front desk - making us drinks, answering phone calls, booking appointments, and welcoming customers all by herself (Praise)! Kudos to you, Praise! We were also given a complimentary 10 min service like auricular therapy but since there were a couple of us, I didn't want my mom to wait too long so I let the lady know I'll come back the next day to experience that service. [Sunday] Re-visited on a late afternoon. Finally tried out the complimentary auricular therapy. Takeaway: - Ear seeding: auriculotherapy where a seed (made out of 24 carats gold or crystal + adhesive) used to help stimulate pressure points in the ear - It doesn't hurt. The lady helped me figure out which pressure points will best apply to my needs. Can leave it on for 3-5 days, and massage those points to help with stress or whatever your concerns were - Ear seeds are a more passive form than acupuncture - The owner tested and created all the herbal teas and their own in-house product line, Redmint - All licensed acupuncturist. Main focus will be acupuncture, but also provides other services such as massages and facials - Open outside bar has a heater to keep guest warm Overall a very soothing and relax environment to unwind. I'd say even if you're not into their services, it's a great place to visit and enjoy one of their Herbal Bar drinks, whether it's for detoxing or a pick-me-up. Praise, the lady at the front desk was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience, hopefully I'll get a chance to try some of the services in the future! I won third prize in their giveaway: 1 free 25 minute hand and foot reflexology guasha. I always enter any type of giveaway with the mindset that I won't win anything but I am more than happy to support local businesses by spreading their name. So lo and behold my surprise when I found out that I actually won something (hmm maybe I should try for the lotto at some point?) Redmint is located in the Marina district. Parking can be tricky and if you are lucky to find a metered spot, have your credit card ready because it will cost you $4.25 an hour. When you're driving by, you might miss it but after you park and walk over there, you'll see their sign and storefront. The decor and natural lighting really gave me a sense of calm and relaxation. I walked in and the first thing on the left you will see the Herbal Bar. That day, Liuhong and Jason were working. They both greeted me and I checked in with Jason. After checking in, he showed me the different areas where they do the acupuncture, LED light therapy and the lounge area. The lounge area was were I got the 25 minute hand and foot reflexology guasha. This is the first time in a long time that I had ever gotten a massage and boy did that 25 minutes just on my hands and feet felt great! During the session, Jason educated me on some of the services they offer and the benefits. He is super friendly and the service was excellent. I was really looking forward to my first visit to Remint Spa for a birthday massage, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived for my 6 PM appointment, the front desk was completely unattended. A spa technician, who was on his phone, told me he wasn't sure how to check me in and casually mentioned that the front desk associate had stepped away--then joked that she was working a long shift and might have fallen asleep in the restroom. Not exactly the kind of professionalism I expected from a high-end spa. The front desk person finally returned a minute before my appointment but was curt, unapologetic, and didn't offer a welcome, a tour, or any guidance. By then, I had already spent 15 minutes filling out my intake form on my own. The massage therapist came out a few minutes late, quickly took me to the room without any orientation or chance to use the restroom, and got straight to the service. The massage itself was fantastic, but there was little to no communication during it--no check-in about pressure or comfort. Afterward, the checkout process was even worse. The front desk associate had her back to me, earbuds in, and was cleaning the tea/espresso area. I stood there for five minutes, completely ignored, before just leaving. Because she never checked me in, I later had to deal with a text requesting updated payment info since my card on file had expired--something that should have been handled on-site. For $150 plus an auto-applied $32 tip, I expected a much better experience. The massage therapist was great, but everything else was so subpar that I won't be returning. After hearing about Redmint from a couple friends, I really wanted to try it out! Personally, I do a lot of weight training and definitely have some compounded stress, tightness, and stiffness throughout my body and I thought this would be a great way to find relief. I booked the day before online through their website. It was easy to navigate and, when booking, the website allowed me to select day and type of service from a detailed list of offered services. I booked an early evening massage therapy appointment with Antoniy. The day of my appointment, I arrived about 10 min early. Keep in mind that his area is very popular so it may take a little time to find parking. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and checked in. Antoniy greeted me a few moments later and guided me to our massage room. I really appreciated Antoniy's thoroughness. He took a very thoughtful approach and listened to my concerns with my body. He asked me what service I would like to receive but also offered me his own suggestion based on my needs, which I opted for. The session itself was very relaxing, with essential oils and white noise filling the space. At the end of our session, Antoniy was incredibly kind and gave me a few extra minutes to help reset my body. Holistic Wellness Sanctuary indeed. I learned about Redmint at a Yelp event last year and got to check out the gorgeous space on Union St. when they first opened their door. I also got to try a few skin care samples. Heard they were opening another location in SF in 2022. Recently came back for a much needed full-body Swedish massage. Booking online seemed straight forward. I did call to inquire the different type of services. The person who helped me was patient and knowledgeable. I was told the Swedish massage would be more gentle and relaxing which was exactly what I needed. So I booked for a noon session on a Sunday for 50 mins. On the day of my visit, check-in was smooth. The massage room was very clean with soothing music in the background. My masseur was Anthony. He was very polite and attentive. He made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I elected to wear my mask which was a bit inconvenient when I was facing down. But I managed. I absolutely loved the heated bed and the warm massage oil. Anthony was so great at working on my body using different techniques for maximum relaxation. The human touch was magical. I felt so relaxed after my massage and almost fell asleep! My only gripe is that I couldn't use my Yelp check-in offer to get an herbal latte. The massage was on the pricier side so it'd have been nice to be offered a complimentary beverage of some sort. Thank you so much to the manager Lauryn for contacting me quickly after my first review and experience here. She followed up quickly to ensure that my second time around would be much better -- and it was. I came back for a second Full Body LED Therapy (red light therapy) session just a few days later. Instead of coming on a Friday afternoon, this time I came on a Monday at 7 PM after work. It was very quiet and relaxing. I felt rejuvenated afterwards. Redmint is the first place I have ever done red light therapy, which I have read is good for treating inflammation, the cause of everything from pain to wrinkles to a weakened immune system. Multiple sessions are needed to see the first signs of improvement, so I will be back for more. Tip: Although red light therapy does not have UV rays, I read that you should remove your sunscreen for the LED session because sunscreen can interfere with and block the beneficial red light LED wavelengths. Also, make sure you are nude because red light therapy only works if the light reaches your skin. read more

Came in here a few weeks ago for an 80 minute massage to treat myself on a Sunday morning. I was on crutches and my therapist (Antoniy) was fantastic. He was really respectful and cautious of my injured foot and gave me a great massage. The rooms are fairly small because you're right off Union Street, so I could hear some people walking around outside, but overall the white noise was great to set a good tone for the massage. As for the cost, these are definitely on the pricer end, but I thought it was worth the experience. They also gave me a sample of some amazing skincare moisturizer when I left which I'm still dreaming about. read more

Redmond is one of my favorite gems in San Francisco. I go to both the Union and Fillmore locations. I love every detail of this place -- from the decor, to the friendly staff in the lobby, to the herbal tonics. Redmint really understands holistic wellness in a way that is deeply authentic, and not gimmicky or trendy. I also love the attention to detail, like how massages start with a sound bowl or tuning fork for grounding. I have gotten so many treatments here in the last 3 years and have never worked with a practitioner I didn't love -- my favorites are TR for deep tissue (she seriously works magic and has the best technique I've ever experience), Shanna for lymphatic drainage, and LaRoz for cranio sacral therapy. So it's Friday and I had a great day so I decided to try and treat my self to some self-care and hopefully a little sound healing. I pull up Yelp and search 'Sound Healing' ya sounds like a random thing to search but this is San Francisco and there is incredible sound healing everywhere. I'm scrolling through the local options and I find #5 'Redmint'. Now mind you I have no clue what a Redmint is but it sounds refreshing. I pull up their website and the photos look great. Apparently it's a new little spa that offers acupuncture, massage, Detox, and some wild herbal concoctions. This is right up my alley. Then I find this: "SOUND + DEEP TISSUE THERAPY Signature Deep Healing. A restorative body treatment that increases circulation thus eliminates soreness and pain. Integrating sound tuning forks that induces a deeper state of relaxation + deep tissue acupressure that promotes fluid and blood circulations, this treatment facilitates balancing and renewing of internal system to help your body to rest and your mind to retreat." Are you kidding me?! Massage and sound therapy?! Whaaaat I struck GOLD!! A massage with sound tuning forks!! I'm sold. I immediately click availability and there is an opening at 8:00pm!!! Unbelievable I'm over the moon. I make a new profile, agree to the email list and even put my CC on file. I go to confirm and it tells me my appointment is no longer available. Bummer! But I can't give up, I decide to call them. The woman that answers is polite and doesn't see anything in the system but good news she has a 7:30pm for 85 mins! Mind you this is $199 but a massage with sound?! I need it in my life! I book my 7:30pm massage with her and she emails me over some covid paperwork. No problem cuz I'm Covid free! I check no on all the boxes and hit send. A minute later the phone rings and it's the woman from Redmint... before she can say anything I tell her "sorry but I am not accepting any bad news!" She laughs and says "well it's not all bad I booked you for tomorrow. I'm sorry. I do have an 8:00pm but not for 85 mins." I say no problem it's ok whatever you can do and confirm. That evening I stroll into this super funky Tokyo meets Bali spa with good vibes. They show me to the massage room and leave me alone. I look around and I see tuning forks and a sound bowl. Are you kidding?! This is happening!! I'm so happy. The masseuse comes in and starts massaging. Now mind you the lights are so bright I could be in the interrogation room of the SFPD. I need some sunglasses right about now! But maybe he needs the light for the sound therapy?! Idk The massage is good and the conversation is friendly. The time flys by and I wait and wait and wait But the only sound I get is from the humidifier in the corner. I'm crushed. I could get a massage anywhere the sound was what sold me. When I was paying the lady laughed a little and said oh no um ya he told me he doesn't like doing the sound with the massage..... me: oh. Ok. Thanks. I pay. Even tip (not as much as I would have) but some herbal tea concoction and stroll out. My ballon has popped. The sound + massage therapy is still a unicorn. A myth an urban legend. I went down the alleyway where it's located, however, it seemed closed as the wooden gate was closed. Fortunately, one of the staff members came out when I was peering through the gate and let me in. She told me the 3 employees there were currently with clients which is why the gate was closed. No problem for me as I was in no rush! I got the Relax + Chill herbal tea and gold ear seeds. It's great location in the Marina and provides a calming oasis from the outside chaos. Super relaxing space and when I was leaving, more clients had arrived probably because the typical 9-5 work day was over. When I got back home, I was felt even more relaxed! Just finished my deep tissue massage with Rodney. And wow! I've needed a massage for the past year, and I couldn't wait for the second dose of the vaccine. I needed it now. I've been here before for a couple of Yelp events, and they've changed the inside lobby. It's no longer accessible for sitting. They put some room divided with Himalayan salt bricks. I'm curious as to what that is.. It's cold today, and due to the pandemic, they can only use sheets instead of the thicker blanket. Rodney said I can ask for another sheet if I felt cold. I started feeling cold at the very end of the session, so I didn't bother with it. I ended up using the Yelp check in to get an herbal latte, which is what I'm enjoying now. As for the massage, Rodney was so intuitive with my breathing and how my muscles were. I tend to lose concentration on my breathing, so hearing his inhale/exhale hints (other than him telling me when to breathe) kept me on track. At the end of the session, he gave me a recommendation for my next session, wherever it may be. I put a lot of tension on my back, and he gave me advice on keeping my chest open. Makes sense. I need to be more aware of that, especially since working from home has destroyed my posture. You have the option to keep your mask on when your face down on the massage table. I opted to keep it on for the entire session. The mask I wore goes to the back of my head, as opposed to the ear loops, but I recommend wearing the ear-loop kind. My favorite part of the massage was the bit of sound therapy at the beginning. He rang a bowl and put the rod on my back. Feeling that vibration was really soothing and set the tone for the massage. I definitely want to come back and try the TCM, which includes acupuncture. And I definitely will come back for another herbal tea latte. read more

The masseuse spent the entire time talking about tipping and how he didn't like the energy of some "rich" customers and how it correlated to bad tippers. I don't know if he was trying to tell me something but it ruined my massage. I by no means consider myself rich maybe more dumb for paying 200 for a massage but seriously I don't know why he was compelled to talk to me about how rich people didn't respect his profession. I was introduced to this beautiful wellness center thanks to a wonderful Yelp Elite event! It was truly a unique experience to visit, because you get transported out of the stress of the bustling city into this super calm, tranquil space tucked in from the streets. The service here is truly unmatched! I felt almost like I was being adopted by one of the employees, as she shared her story of how she trained and opened this spot in SF! I got the opportunity to try some of their Chinese herbal tea lattes, which they explained had amazing health benefits. Unfortunately, if you're not too used to these Chinese herbal flavors, then it might not be your cup of tea ;) One of the services they provided included ear seeding which there are a lot of studies around, claiming that your ears are connected to everything in the body. So it was cool describing any health problems or concerns you have, and they would find the specific spot in your ear that is connected to it and apply a "seed" which places pressure on that spot. Really cool! Overall it was an amazing experience, that I'd recommend if you can treat yourself, there are a ton of different services provided here. Treated myself to thee MOST perfect morning of self-care and love at Redmint. Redmint is truly a hidden gem in the bustling Marina District. Walking in you're greeted with an outdoor herbal tea bar and patio with heat lamps. You immediately feel like you step into a world of peace and tranquility. The employees were also so warm and inviting--made you feel at home. I made an appointment for the 55 min oxygen facial with Dulce and it was such a unique experience! I've had facials before, but this was different. She prepared a warm bed for me to lay on. We started with some sound therapy, and continued with cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, and a facial massage all the way down to my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Especially loved the facial cupping, hot towels, and oxygen! All the Redmint products used smelled lovely. Dulce was also so friendly and did an excellent job explaining everything to me. I didn't want to get up!! Afterwards, I had the Natural Glow herbal latte with oat milk and honey and sat in the beautiful patio. I had the glow tea with cashew milk which was just lovely. Jessica was lovely enough to provide me with my first ear seeding therapy. I've done acupuncture before and it's similar in that they target pressure points. Yet, the seeds stay in place for a couple days which allows you to do it yourself when needed. The interior decor is very pleasant and inviting, a tranquil mix of old culture and modernity. Walking in I immediately felt a sense of calm, instantly in a state of relaxation. I love acupuncture. It is so healing. But I had never tried the guashu (perhaps my spelling isn't perfect). I opted for a longer treatment with the facial therapy, some guashu, sound therapy and oils on the face. I can't explain how amazing I feel after, truly cared for. Liu Hong gave an incredible treatment, and I have received needles from various other practitioners. Top notch treatment. I was sent here to my surprise as a birthday present from my boss. She booked me for a massage with cbd. The front desk staff was super sweet. Tanya was my therapist and I could tell right away by her energy that she was going to take wonderful care of me. I explained to her that I have the usual neck, shoulder, back issues, but that I have a lot of pain in my forearms and wrists . She combined the massage with acupressure work and my goodness! It was beyond what I needed. Most massage therapists work on that area, but it starts to hurt again in a few hours. I don't know how, but Tanya was able to find the source of the pain and work it out of my body. I am not very good at relaxing being a working mom of three, but the cbd definitely helped to absorb all of the body work that Tanya did. I booked a customizable deep tissue massage with Owen. I immediately loved the place upon walking in and had a cup of coffee since I was early. Heidi explained how Redmint came to be and how intentional they are in hiring practitioners, which was really neat to hear. Owen listened to me and then addressed the area of concern. I thought he was friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained how muscles were connected and what could affect pain elsewhere in the body. His hands were absolute magic! He communicated really well and had consistent pressure. I left feeling amazing and got exactly what I had hoped for. I don't live near Redmint and wish I could take Owen with me! I recently hurt my ankle stepping out of a bathroom and I requested an acupuncture appointment- Chad went above and beyond! He gave me a hot stimulant pulsing treatment and a CBD lotion after.
