I have to say, while I was ultimately pleased with the way things turned out in the end, my experience didn't go according to plan. First, my stylist (who was awesome overall) arrived almost half an hour late. I understand that her Uber broke down, but no one called to communicate this to me on the morning of the wedding, and I was FREAKING OUT and had to run around trying to track down someone from Sonia's salon, which I was finally able to do, but it was super stressful. Hair and makeup ultimately came out great, but initially when I looked at my hair in the mirror I was not at all pleased, as it looked NOTHING like the photos I had given my stylist for reference. As she had run late, I didn't say anything because there wasn't time to fix it. It's also true that I didn't do a trial, which could have helped, but for the huge amount of money I was already paying and the fact that my ceremony was a small Chicago elopement, it didn't seem worth the price ($195 PER SERVICE, so over $400 with tip). Also, throughout the time my stylist was working on me, I kept asking if we'd be done on schedule and she kept assuring that we would be, but she ended up running about half an hour over, so everything about my wedding was delayed by 30 minutes as a result, including the ceremony itself. Everything turned out well as I was pleased with the look once I put my dress on, but overall I was not happy with the way everything went down. For that high cost, I expected the highest possible customer service, which this place did not deliver.

Unfortunately, I have had the worst of luck until I came across Romi. Romi will be the only person touching my eyebrows from here on out. For starters, she introduced me to eyebrow tinting, which completely changed the eyebrow game for me. My eyebrow shape is spectacular a month later. This company failed to act in the best interest of us (the client) and utilized business practices that were not advertised when we signed on with them to take advantage of our trusting nature which resulted in us having to hire a new hair stylist which was not budgeted for. So, when I bought groupons for my bridesmaids for no chip manicures and pedicures...a trip that should've traditionally taken two hours tops, took us close to 4. Two nail stations and one pedicure station makes for a looooooong day of waiting. And, it was only 3 of us. I had called probably three weeks prior to make a reservation, so they knew we were coming. And I came a little early, knowing the challenges of their limited resources. But as I sat getting my nails done, my other two girls waited. There was someone in the pedi chair (right smack dab in the middle of our appointments) that moved to mani that really caused a hold up. I don't know...but I would've thought the reservationist would've planned that a little better because it cost us quite a bit of time. The good news: the manicurist was very through and took her time. As did the pedicurist. Both did great jobs. And street parking is free. The bad news: limited color choice for no-chip and both of my big toes are jacked, even though I waited two hours before putting on a pair of heels. So that sucks. Groupon worthy, but I wouldn't go back here to pay full price.
