I took my daughter here for her first hair color dye experience. I showed Maria a picture of what I wanted and what I agreed to paid after seven hours. She completely bleached my daughters hair and had the audacity to say that they would never do what the client didn't ask for she wanted to sugarcoat it and say that it was a "four finger" difference that they added to my daughter's hair they completely bleached it when she asked for caramel highlights, and instead of them rectifying the situation, she takes my daughter to the back and starts talking to her staff it's a quick fix with toner it's doesn't even do anything and gathers with her staff and starts talking about my daughters hair to the other girl that was helping her that Maria didn't even touch my daughters hair. If I could give it zero starts I would. Stay away this place is terrible. read more

I came here with high hopes honestly, they charge so much and down payment is required. There were 3 or 4 girls that worked on my hair, I spent 8 hrs at the salon the hair cut is not included with the color, I showed them a picture of what I wanted and results were not even close!! I asked for a hair cut and the lady was going around the stations looking for good scissor! I was charged $45 for a trim !! With cheap ass scissors. It was obvious she didn't know what she was doing. I spent $500 here, very disappointed, dissatisfied and upset. I do not recommend this place at all! I cried on my way home. read more

Mari and her team were phenomenal! My twin daughters and I had our hair and makeup done for their quinceñera - and everyone did a great job! The ladies who do makeup did an amazing job! All the girls who worked on our hair also did a fantastic job and, even though we had a 45 minute drive- they did their best and had us done in time to get ready!! got my hair done along with a bridal party and it was the worst experience i've had in a "salon" i got my make up done and it wasn't a bad job but the quality of the make up sucks. my problem is with the lady called Maria, she has some serious problems. i initially wasn't going to get my hair done with them but i just decided to do a quick blow out because i like the volume that it gives to my hair. i sat on the chair to get it done and the first thing she tells me is that my hair is supposedly "oily" when i do not have oily hair, i had washed it the night before with no conditioner like she had told us. i'm like that's weird but whatever, she told me that she couldn't do the blowout and decided to go ahead and give me curls WITH A STRAIGHTER that is the opposite of what i said i wanted.. she made me wait an hour to continue doing it (thought she was going to do something nice) she told me to put my head down and she shook my head and TEASED my hair!!! i hated my hair so much. i think she did curls to charge me $75 instead of a lower price that it would've been for a blowout. WORST service ever, they're all just gossiping in front of your face. they all work on you and they all still suck. i wish i could get my money back but ill let them keep it cause i feel bad. read more

I booked my app with Maria but her staff ended up finishing my hair. About 3 different people where working on my hair and honestly all the girls are always on their phone or gossiping with each they that they don't even really pay attention. When I went home to try to style my hair I noticed I had this weird pattern everywhere were my natural hair color was were they attempted to do a root touch up. It wasn't worth it waiting so long for an app just to see your whole hair like this. read more

I called and made an appointment on a Saturday for hair and makeup. Was told a $50 deposit was required and was asked to send through Zelle. I did. I was told I would receive a confirmation text and I never did. I called them later in the day to confirm the deposit was received. They confirmed. Unfortunately, I had to cancel and called them Tuesday (they are closed Mondays). Was asked to come into the salon to get the deposit, told them I could not because I was at work and would not make it on time. I was then told that they would zelle it to me. I never received the money, so I called Wednesday. Was told the owner Mari was not in and provided with her number to send her a text. No response. I called the salon Thursday, was told to text Mari again, no response. Friday, I got fed up. Called my bank and informed Mari via text that I would be calling my bank and never planned to frequent her business again. Low and behold she replied and claimed deposit is non refundable. Even though this was never verbally stated and the salon does not have a website where this is posted in writing. She finally returned my money. Sadly for her it was after I filed a complaint for fraud with my bank. Do not plan to ever use their services. read more

If I could give this place a zero star I would. I have been coming to this place since It first started. Things have really changed. 1. So many girls are working on your hair you end up tipping all of them which is a sneaky way to get money out of you. 2. I had never dyed my hair, literally, virgin, wavy, almost to lower back wavy hair, I wanted a caramel color, and I had an exact pic I pulled off pinterest of course, NOT BLOND HAIR, this is a family business where all the sisters have the same blond hair and they just want to make everyone look blond. Every girl's hair THERE, STAFF AND CLIENTS, look the same and artificial and fake, you'll save a lot more money just wearing a blond wig trust me which brings me to my next point. 3. They used a very basic product and I saw what they charged another girl who had a lot more hair and a lot longer hair than me and when we got through our chatting and the owner found out my profession she decided to charge me a lot more. Remind you that I have acquainted these people a long time ago and they have become really money hungry. 4. They convinced me very hypocritical about how great I looked and well I didn't want to make myself look like a fool. I left. Unfortunately for them I am not one to complain but I will never ever return to that place again. Unlike my own family member, who continued to return until they made her a huge scene because she complained because she didn't get what she wanted. The owner wouldn't come out from the back and confront her to at least attempt to fix her issue and then when they decided to fix her issue the third day she came back, they made her wait two hours so the owner would talk to her and fix her issue. Very unpleasant treatment especially to my family member who was loyal to them for 8 years to receive this treatment. Just because you know a few famous people doesn't give you the right to treat people as garbage. You need to satisfy your clientele!!!! read more

The 1st 2 times I got my hair done, it came out wonderful. After that it was extremely disappointing. It doesn't make sense why my hair had patches of blonde when all of my hair should have been blonde. These ladies maybe good people but they have NO attention to detail and they talk way too much for the price they charge. The process takes way too long for it to be unsatisfactory. I went to another stylist to correct Maria's mistake and she showed me a picture of how bad my hair was. I will NEVER go back to Studio 29! read more

Tried to go here because I've heard some great reviews from family members. Turns out that wasn't the case. I Tried to get an appointment earlier than my original one. I understand people/businesses get busy. Studio 29 has the worse way possible of communicating with their customers. All they do is leave you on read and never reply. We loved it, if you want to feel like your getting your hair done by your friend this is the place, the girls are so nice and loving in my mom's words "son bien apapachadoras" it's so nice to see women empowering women and that's what this ladies do. Their system for charging deposit is tricky. I gave a $50 deposit and that day with the rush they did not deduct my deposit from total and when i later tried to ask for a refund- they said since i paid cash they said i did not have a way of proving they charged me $150 vs $100. They should not charge a deposit if they can not organize themselves to always know who and what everyone has paid. I tried talking to Maria the owner and she was not helpful or cooperative at all. *cuidado cuando dan deposito - si se les olvida mencionarlo no se lo quitan de el total y si paga con efectivo no hay manera de comprobar cuanto pago y le cobran precio completo sin quitarle la cantidad que dio de deposito. Despues le dicen que no hay manera de comprobar si pago $100 vs $150. Si no se saben organizar con los cobros y corte de caja no deberían de cobrar deposito. I have been having nightmares about this salon since I visited a few weeks ago. First time I had a panic attack was at this place. I booked my appointment with with the owner thinking she was going to do my hair. That was never the case I had a total of 7 people do my hair! No one is responsible for you. How ridiculous is that! I sat around for an hour waiting for someone to take care of me after they washed my hair. The girls were not gentle with my hair at all! It felt like all the girls were there for a big social club. All of them chatting, taking their time, gossiping, on the phone. At one point a polish girl working there called another girl working there a bitch because she wouldn't use the chair she was telling her. I felt like I was back in high school. I will say this place is super cheap but definitely not worth the headache and crappy job. They messed up my hair! This place is terrible!
