I've heard through the "grapevine" this place the bomb. The grapevine was right. The selection of beer and wine is incredible. They will give you a shot glass sample of whatever they have before you order. I particularly like the "kill the keg" specials they offer. Beer at half price always tastes better. The owner who was working the bar is very knowledgeable on beer and wine. About the menu. Thoughtfully created to go with common beer and wine choices. As a matter of fact the menu does suggest pairings. I had a slice of chocolate cream pie. It is rich and decedent. Made with Ghirardelli dark chocolate and real cream every bite melts in your mouth causing a chocolate explosion on your taste buds. We met and were served by Clayton, one of the owners. He's the full-on shizz, cranked to 11, for sure. You'll dig him too. Full disclosure: we were predisposed to having an awesome time. Divide and its fantastic crew did not disappoint. We were meeting our friends the Ossians, life-long homies, cut from awesome cloth. It had been real pressure cooker of a work week. And it was just time to slough off the stress and unwind. Bam! The beer and wine list here is extensive and rotates by day. So frequent is the rotation that they have a Chalk Board menu. Check the pictures, it's spiffy. Clayton gave us the lowdown. He listened to our preferences and made astute recommendations, then took our orders. He's a customer service Masta!... knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and warp speed once he knows whatcha need. Darcie, a creature of habit and distinguishing taste, ordered a Chard. I got a Mike Hess Infinity Plus 1. Being a giant nerd "Infinity" caught my eye, but the 12.5% alcohol content sold me. Remember the rough week. We tried all three pop corns. The Devil's Spice was the winner among the three, but Maple Garlic and Cheddar Cheese were exceptional as well. Let's talk Heaven. Then we gots us some Hand Pies. Dayum! They were all wonderfully scrumptious. Based on our taste buds and experience we have listed these decadent Pies in order of awesomeness. --El Cubano --Spicy Jamaican Beef --Green Chile Pork --Creamy Chicken Pot Pie We re-entered Earth Atmo and landed comfortably satisfied in Gilbert at Divided.. where we had started. Tonight was kind of a big deal. I venture out to get the flavor of Gilbert and the nightlife/ live music scene every so often because I'm a newbie to Gilbert. I have to hand it to Clayton, Emily and I think the 3rd owner is Jeff. (Sub note-Jeff was not there and probably was taking a well deserved night off) (the struggle is real people-not that I would know because I am not a business owner) (but starting anything takes soul, care, sweat and a whole lot of vision) I came in made a seat at the U shaped bar feeling a skoche nervous as I am a female walking into unknown territory. Wouldn't you too? Jus sayin. While I waited for my friend to join me, I had been there maybe 18.5 seconds when a guy with a gnarly beard and cool blue glasses walks to me and says "welcome to The Divide-I'm Clayton" he put his hand out and shook my hand and never looked away. The bar was fully loaded with their customer base for a Thursday evening at 545 pm. I was lucky to grab two seats. There was a guy setting up to play some live music in the corner. I wish I knew who he was because he had me at George Ezra. Great great guitarist and vocals. In any case I'm getting too wordy. Back to Clayton. As I'm talking to Clayton I was thinking this guy is on point. I told him my preference of beer and he said he had just the right one based on my preference. I'm the light and fluffy with a little fruity beer kinda girl. Wish I could say I'm a beer officiant but we're all about honesty on Yelp right? That being said they offer a broad range of micro brews as well as fine wine that will meet any discerning beer/wine taste buds. Probably 30 + to choose from. This is a place where the owners: Clayton, Emily and Jeff really put their heart into it. They want to know their customers and make them feel like we just walked into their home for a great night of conversation and music. It showed and I am to the bees knees x10 so happy I got to experience it and I think you should too. Mad props to all three! Your regulars think you guys hung the and completely dig you all. Great place and my second time here. Tonight however 11/8/23 the young bartender was more interested in the girl at the end of the bar than is clientele. I sat at the bar with dirty dishes next to me the whole time. He might need to be managed a bit. Hoping my next visit will be better. read more

This new neighborhood establishment is like Cheers (The Bar in Boston). The staff is warm , inviting and provide great service. Their knowledge of the beers and wines is extensive and tasting before you buy is a wonderful benefit. Divided Vine is in a little shopping plaza next to a physical therapy clinic and a Mexican restaurant. When you go inside, they have a chalkboard that has an extensive wine and beer list including a lot of local wineries and breweries. The food menu was limited but what we did order, we enjoyed. We tried the flatbread pizza, the charcuterie board, and the soft pretzel. The ambiance inside is a little on the minimalistic side but you're going for good beer and wine right? They have a decent sized outdoor patio which is dog friendly. If you're in the mood for a unique and delicious glass of wine or beer, definitely check this place out! read more

Excellent craft beer selection. I've had my fair share of beer and rarely find a place with more than 2 or 3 beers I haven't already tried. On opening weekend, 12 out of their 35 taps were beers I had never tried before. Then they had two guest brewers come in on consecutive Thursdays with many more great beers. It was really cool meeting the owners/brewers and chatting about their facilities, brew processes, preferred styles, etc. Staff are super nice, patient, very knowledge and always available to answer questions, provide samples and/or recommendations. They definitely make the novice beer folks feel comfortable. Not really a wine guy, but from what I've seen/heard the selection of wine and mead is excellent as well. Food options are somewhat limited, but very good quality. Super delicious hand pies from a well established local purveyor and excellent craft popcorn. Future plans include a patio, larger food selection, and additional TV's. Definitely hit this place up - especially on Small Business Saturday!!!! My only complaint is they aren't open at 11am!!!!! read more

We had a lovely time at Divided Vine. We had some absolutely delicious recommendations on drinks. Our friend got a blueberry IPA that was so yummy. The key lime pie beer was surprisingly delightful and the Innocent Bystander Pink Moscato and Cave de Lungy Charmes Chardonnay were lovely. The bartender was so knowledgeable and helpful in his suggestions. I will say, the charcuterie board was a bit of a letdown, but everything else, including the live music, was so enjoyable. Definitely come enjoy the warmth and life this charming beer and wine bar has to offer. read more

NEW FAVORITE PLACE! I have been in twice now in the last week( Friday night and Sunday afternoon) and both times were amazing. Not only is the vibe and ambiance super cool but what I am most amazed with( and what will have me coming back) is the customer service. Both times the people behind the bar were beyond superb. They really seem interested in helping me and my friends find a drink that we would like. They explained the menus and did their best to answer any questions. My old go to place was the whining pig down on Val Vista but this place is much larger with more seating and draft selection. They had 36 beers/ales/ciders on tap listed on one wall and another 30 some odd wines and meads listed on the other wall. I love that they offer a lot of local brews from different places in the beer, cider, and wine. If you don't like their draft selection they have a fridge full of canned craft bees(IPA's, stouts, ciders, ales). As for the food menu, it's small but again they at least offer A few things. They have 3 different flavored pop corns, 7-8 different empanadas served with salad or chips and 3 different desert empanadas. We got the chicken pot pie and lemon custard one and it was good. Not super filling but something nice to eat while drinking. There are two restaurants in the same parking lot( Tia Rosa's and Asian Ginger) that they have to go menus you can order food from and being into the bar. The bar itself is big with lots of seating and they have 2-3 group tables both inside and outside on the patio. I wish there were more places like this in Gilbert. Love the selection and customer service. It's so awesome to find a place where the person who is serving you acts interested and happy to be serving you. read more

Great for drinks. Great selection without the restaurant prices. Of course drinking out will always be a little more expensive than buying direct and drinking at home but prices are still very reasonable. You will get an even better deal during happy hr. I found some beer selections I liked a lot & will likely go out and buy some for at home. The snacks offered are fine for drinking beer but I would prefer something a little more refined for wine drinking (cheese, fruit, bruschetta or similar). My husband and I will return for sure. PS. Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Had never heard of it, so we checked it out. Love. Seriously love. 36 beers on tap and 36 wines, as well. How do you choose? Chill atmosphere, local art on the walls, TV's showing the games and Bob Marley on the stereo. We ate the chicken pot pie hand pie and it was delicious. What they do, they do well. Good beer and wine selection, great ambiance and periodically food trucks out back. Chairs are stiff and hard, and after sitting all day at a desk I found them to be very uncomfortable, but my lazy butt should be standing anyway. A larger TV and jukebox would help out quite a bit, seeing how popular Sunday NFL games are I'd love to watch a game a game or 2 myself every once in a while at a nice bar, I just don't see this place scratching that itch. I get that they don't want to be a sports bar, and that's fine, but I think you either go for it or you don't. read more

Seriously, a gem of a spot! I have worked around the corner from here for yearrrrrs and had no clue this was so close. Wine and beer on happy hour until 7pm lured me in the door, but the excellent service and friendly guys behind the bar will keep me coming back. They had a food truck on site out back serving up fresh pizza and I saw some others bring food in to have with their beverages. We tried a bottle of organic red wine, and the happy hour price was $18. I can't recall the last time I had a bottle of wine for under $30, let alone organic. I will be back to try out some of that extensive beer list in the near future! read more

The bartenders are very experienced, knowledgeable and above all friendly. #14 Hanger 24 - Lime Gose is legit, by recommendation alone tried it and probably had one more than I should have it was so good. The atmosphere is quaint, casual and intimate, very comfortable. I haven't had a chance to try the food yet, but I will be back to give it a go, and get some more #14 (nom nom).
