The Mesa Arts Center is also open late to 8pm. Ive wanted to check this place out for awhile now so wandered in on Thu night. Bar was full when I walked in and all men at the bar. I ordered a wheat berry lemon of some kind here. Draft came to $7 and some change. I opted to sit outside and the weather was comfortable with a nice breeze and a storm was looming and it was breezy. Beer was meh, not really a wheat beer and more on the bitter side. There was a DJ outside spinning some funk, but it was just OK for me. Overall, a bit of a letdown, but I'd be willing to give it another try on another night.

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

Exactly what I look for. A job well done. Food (N/A): We ate prior, so we were on a liquid diet. Drinks (4/5): I love going to breweries to have a flight so I can try a nice variety of their beers. Which is exactly what I did beer. A good number of their beers are IPAs or dark beers which aren't my style. Luckily, there were still four beers that were right up my alley for a flight... typically I have a greater selection of brews that interest me. All good though because the brews I had were tasty. We also shared a margarita beer which was cool. Always fun when a brewery has liquor too. Phoenix has a lot of cool breweries. I'm glad I got to check this one out!

It wasn't a major issue. It just created a long gap which gave us the option to decide to go elsewhere. We also noticed the beer we ordered was flat and we eventually let the new bartender know. My first pint was a Hefeweizen. It had a slight waxy mouthfeel. My second pint was an oatmeal stout. At 7.3% ABV it was a tad strong, but it went down very smoothly. I snacked on some free popcorn but it was seasoned with a strong spice. Thankfully I could help myself to the water fountain. I enjoyed the ambiance and will be back.
