We have been coming here for years and the owners have been so awesome! However, we came tonight...a Sunday night... and were told we could not stay because we had our 9 year old with us. I totally understand sitting at "the bar" however, it was empty so we picked a seat in the corner, not at the bar. Also , no sign that states kids under a certain age is not allowed past a certain time. Honestly, just really disappointed in management call tonight. The staff was great and super sweet and let us have a drink "outside" so we paid for drinks "yes our choice" but to sit outside like an animal...again to all the critics who will say something stupid and negative as I stated our choice, we compromised with the very sweet staff to sit outside even though it was hot and still support local ....but since we as a family came here as a close for our Sunday night honestly felt very disappointed and not welcome in here. I suggested sitting outside to make sure that was OK to enjoy our drink. read more

I really liked this place... The variety of drinks, the ambiance of the bar, and the staff. However after receiving an extremely hefty tab after having a few drinks with my wife I discovered we ended up getting charged about $12 more than we thought due to a technicality. When we got there we specifically mentioned that we were there for happy hour and my wife started ordering a tasty cider. Unfortunately, her drinks come in a smaller glass and didn't qualify as a 16oz pint which gets the discount. It's fine to have specific rules for happy hour specials, but I feel that if a staff member thinks a customer might not understand their rules.. they should say something. Also.. the Diablo popcorn is absolutely intolerable... If you have a heart condition do not even look at anyone else eating it because you'll OD on sodium. read more

This place is awesome. We live nearby so my husband and I stopped in for a quick drink Saturday night. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by Clayton, one of the owners. He asked us what kind of beers we like and made some recommendations from their extensive beer list. We tried some of the maple garlic popcorn as a snack and it was delicious. Went last weekend on a Saturday night around 9:00 the place was pretty busy seems like a place a lot of younger people hang out. Music is really loud. Staff was friendly. I love the atmosphere. It's very quaint, but it's whatever you want to make it. The small menu is great for just something to pick on while you're enjoying your 36 choices of beer or your 30+ choices of wine. We've had a few recommendations from the owner and bartender and haven't been let down yet. These guys know their stuff. My wife couldn't remember what she ordered, so the owner came by, swirled the class, smelled it and knew right away and got her another glass. Know your product, love your craft. I really think this is the best beer bar in the East valley. The beer selection is always excellent, and they tend to feature Arizona brewed beers. The service is consistently great, and they do a great job learning the names and faces of repeat customers. They feature live music on Thursdays and often host tap takeovers.
