Brand new sports bar right off the square. District Six features a bright friendly decor, small plates and sandwiches along with big screen TVs and video games. They are still waiting on their license from TABC so we enjoyed a complimentary IPA. The BBQ carrots are wonderful as are the boar ribs. Georgetown has a real treat with this spot. read more

The burgers are soggy and the service is mediocre. They have a lot of TVs for game days and they pour a good drink, but when you pay $60 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks and the burger buns are so soggy you can't pick them up... yuck. We will not be back. Not worth the money. read more

There are some picnic tables and heaters in the front patio area, and seating inside with TVs as well. Mixed drinks were tasty. They had a nice selection of draft beers. Food was so-so. Typical heavy bar food. I'd say the highlight for me was the redfish and tots. Lowlight was the funnel cake. Everything is too small here for the price. They charge for everything individually however the portion size is a little too small. My fries had to be rationed and it was still only enough to get me through 4 of the eight wings. Also I was given a ranch half the size of the ketchup that was on my trays. Even with 50% occupancy (or even less honestly!) our glasses were always empty and we had to flag someone down and ask More than once for anything. District Six is such a great addition to the Georgetown dining community. I've been many times since they opened, both lunch and dinner - weekday and weekend - and every time I've been happy. Just about everything on the menu is good, but my favorites are the quail legs, burger, fries and queso. My wife absolutely loves the salads, particularly the beet. A wide range of beer and the full bar (with specialty cocktails!) will meet your beverage needs. If you live in Georgetown, you owe it to yourself to visit. Came in during the grand reopening this past weekend, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had high hopes for this place to be even better than it was and that was not the case. What seemed to be a new bar staff was nothing short of rude to many guests and their coworkers. Not sure what's going on here, but they should bring back what they were doing before and their old staff who was amazing, or straighten out the kinks and get their employees to act like they want to be there. The outdoor patio looks great, so I did not give them 1 star like they deserve. Will try again in a few months for them to figure things out. read more

Did I just happen to go on a bad day? My husband has gone twice and loved the burgers and loved his burger yesterday as well! We got there and didn't see the sign to wait for hostess to seat us, but there was no one waiting for a table so our party of 5 walked to the nearest table with bar stools, and were told to please go back to the hostess stand to be seated. Sooooo we get up and walk back to the hostess stand to be walked back to the same table the second we got to the hostess stand. Just awkward! Then, they bring out tiny green cups and what tasted like water hose room temperature water in beautiful glass water bottles. Again, awkward and gross. I order the street corn queso, and it came out chunky like it was made with H‑E‑B easy melt, promise it was the same chunky consistency and wasn't warm, there were maybe 4 kernels of corn I saw mixed in. Am I missing something? I wanted to love this place, and we invited our family to come with us. Needless to say, my husband isn't allowed to pick the place for a while lol! They also ordered drinks from the bar. They looked beautiful, but they weren't even chilled at all. Room temperature drinks that were awful. The only good one ordered was the spike which was a frozen drink from the machine. They also liked their birthday cake shot which was cute and rimmed in gold flakes. Thank goodness I ordered the pickle spears, because it's all I ended up being able to eat and enjoy. This place is really cool inside, with arcade games and a nice, open design. There are large TVs showing different sports everywhere. The layout of the tables was well done. I had a mezcal cocktail which was nicely balanced and not too sweet. The service was absolutely excellent--they definitely work as a team and everyone was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food itself left much to be desired. The burger was a disappointment. It was about on par with a average-low quality fast food joint, but they charge $12 for it (sides are extra). The BBQ carrots were mushy and dressed with way too much mayonnaise, which was the dominant flavor. Not for me. Stopped in district 6th today for lunch as it was lightly packed. I got there around 12:30pm ordered a drink and a chicken sandwich. It wasn't till I walked up to cancel my order at 1:15 that it finally arrived. About halfway through the chicken sandwich I looked down and it was not cooked all of the way. One can imagine how unsanitary this is as I took the plate back. I was offer a half hearted apology and a beer that I just left on the table as I felt nasty/disgusted with what I just ate. I was excited when they first opened and the food they wee putting out as well as the music/venue. Great little sports bar. Not a ton of inside seating, but nice little alley setup for outside when weather is good. Garage door opening makes the inside almost feel like outside. Lots of TVs. Have watched an Austin FC game there and it was fun. The beer selection is solid with a couple of good dark beers instead of the usual selection of just IPAs and lagers. Full bar that makes a solid Manhattan. Service is mostly very good. The food is a unique selection. Eggplant dip, quail legs, redfish and tots... It's mostly very good. I was excited to try this new restaurant yesterday with my family for my birthday celebration. The reviews and IG posts really intrigued me. However, when my dad ordered the Red Fish and Tots, the fish was raw. They took it back and tried it again and it was still raw in the middle. When he went to order for a third time he ordered the Griddled Chicken Sandwich and he got the Schnitzel sandwich instead which was the wrong order. He ate it anyway and we enjoyed our time there. When we went to pay they didn't comp anything but instead made us pay for the mess up. If I could've changed anything about this visit that would've been it. It would've been the right thing to do. Been here six or seven times now and we're delighted to have this restaurant to add to our rotation! The smash burger, boar ribs, beet salad, wings and queso are great. I'm not a beer drinker but they have a large selection. Wine selection is small but fine. (Tried the frozen drink which is good but pretty sweet.) The miss for us are the three chicken sandwiches. They're all made of chicken thighs (and I'm a fan of dark meat) but these thighs are fatty and just kind of yucky. We'll be staying away from these menu items until they're hopefully switched to breasts. Atmosphere a chill. Early on, the music was a little hipster bbq-ish but that seems to have changed. Staff is friendly and attentive. And they have a patio that is nice in the spring and will probably be great in the fall. Overall - highly recommend! read more

Came here twice within 24 hours, that's how much we like it. Had Lauren as our server/bartender, she's amazing and very knowledgeable on the town and items at the restaurant. Solid beer selection. The Georgetown spike is deliciously dangerous. You definitely need to try the BBQ Carrots. The buffalo pork schnitzel sammy is killer, tots perfectly crisp.
