Dining area...

Overall, I had a great time with my group. The restaurant was fairly quiet. The patio area seemed to have more patrons. Service was pretty good. The young man (African American, but I forgot his name) that helped me and our group was wonderful. He was attentive and patient with our group. The young woman that was assisting him was very helpful as well. My only concern with her was all the touching of the lemons she served patrons on the patio. Apparently the bartender put a lemon slice on one of the glasses. She put the remaining slices on the glasses, and then decided to take them off. It was just odd to see so much touching!‍ Outside of this, the food was amazing and reasonably priced. I felt my bill would have been much higher for the quality of the food , and the food presentation. Additionally, patrons with larger mobility aids will have a tight squeeze at the entry., and exiting to go to the restroom. But once inside all is well.

This restaurant was participating in Houston restaurants week so I decided to give them a try and was very disappointed with both the service and the food. We came in on Tuesday evening, it wasn't very busy, but service was so slow. It took a while for a server to come out and we had to ask on three separate occasions for bread, which didn't come out until our entrées came out. And the bread was bad, very dry and the flavor was not great. For Appetizers, I got the calamari and my friend ordered the cauliflower. The calamari was OK. Pieces were a bit small and overcooked, but it wasn't terrible. The pomegranates added a nice kick of freshness to the dish. As for the cauliflower, it was OK nothing crazy. I found the black olives and Parmesan to be a bit of a weird add to the dish. It just didn't make the dish look appetizing to be honest with you. To drink, I got the spicy mango margarita which was very watered down. The mango taste was very slight, and the jalapeño seeds kept getting stuck in my straw. It wasn't that great of a drink. For entrées, we both ordered the lamb chops which came with truffle risotto, and asparagus. When our plates came out, you can immediately see the difference in quality. My plate looked bad, fatty, not seared. My friend's plate looked beautiful, way better than mine. And we both asked for them to be cooked the same way. The lamb was good, but not great. The asparagus was good but the risotto was not it. When you take the first bite, you get hit with an intense truffle taste, but as you keep eating the risotto, the flavor disappears, very bland. The risotto wasn't creamy either, it was dry. I think they only drizzled the truffle on top of the risotto so that's why the first bite was so intense with truffle flavor. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée and the Pazooki, both items were BURNT, VERY BURNT!!! I don't know how the chef looked at these items and said it was OK to send out. Overall, for the service and food quality, I was not impressed nor would I recommend my friends to come eat here. Also they charge a liquor tax? Not worth it for the drinks in my opinion

Sunday HRW Brunch with my friend Ronald S. District 7 was our very first HRW for 2025. Short story: -1 Absent host. -1 Appeared to seat the people who walked in with me, who arrived after my friend been waiting to be seated with menus. -1 Server came to table after 4, (-1) told us we couldn't order brunch. (-1) Good cold temp. (-1)Cold syrup and (-1) Hair and food. No discount solution given even after mentioned (-1) (only dessert, which we decline several times, & was not good either) I called ahead of time to confirm brunch hours. Till 4 PM. Great. Ron arrived before me, we were on the phone the entire time of his travel and arrival. While being OTP till I walked in, I spoke to a host who was talking about nothing retraining to business outdoors and west menus and to be seated, my friend Ben waiting so long he was not aware if he was supposed to seat himself out not. No one acknowledged him. A older host sat a couple who arrived after us while he's been waiting, even after being notified. We felt ignored and dismissed. Which day a nasty tone. But we were hungry and happy to explore the menu. The young host I spoke to outdoors from the patio walked in to seat us. The table needed to be wiped down, she did that and gave us menus. I like that she provided HRW menus without request from us. We were ready to ordered prior to arriving. She said we had to wait for our server and she couldn't take the orders. So I thought: (wtf She was outside talking to the guy at tide table so long for if you not allow to take meal orders). We were ready and Waiting, seems like they were waiting till 4 to come take the orders She gets there, I started spilling out my order, she stop me to say BRUNCH IS OVER, you can't order that. "While we were here before the end of brunch, no one was here at the door to greet or sit us. He was waiting to be seated with menus, and they sat people who arrived after him, after he didn't even know how the establishment operate and if he was supposed to sit his self or wait. And then we tried to order with the host who sat us with menus, she said we had to wait for the server and you don't show until after four. We've been waiting for over 10 minutes. We've been knowing what we wanted before we even arrived. We only came for brunch." She confirmed, came back said we can order we did. The Mac and cheese on the waffle was cold. I asked for hot syrup, which didn't come out until I was on my last bite of my waffle. And I had to call someone else and asked them, which took forever. And it was only about 4 tables occupied in the place. Not busy at all. After she deliver our plates she didn't come back and check on us until we were on the last bite. I couldn't tell her about the cold mac & cheese, I couldn't tell her about the hair on my plate. Or that she forgot my warm syrup or that I needed another one The manager John came to visit I showed him the hair he removed it with the quickness . His solution was to offer a dessert that neither one of us wanted it after experience that we had and that I shared detailed by detail. John kept offering a dessert continuously and I was trying to give it to my friend and he didn't want it either. We were good on the dessert but John was like you know we could take it to go, I was like OK my friend mentioned that he would've did the carrot cake so I did the carrot cake & Try to give it to him. He refused trying to carrot cake later on that evening. It had nuts and raisins in it. It wasn't good. It wasn't my cup of tea, but John was like whenever you come back you can always get a dessert on me. This was sweet, but this didn't fix this visit. This was not a solution to the multiple problems we experience on this visit. This does not encourage me to come back.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! I've been coming here for about two years and the service is excellent every time. The manager John is spectacular! He treats us like his family and he is wonderful. The food at this restaurant is top tier! I always try something new each time to spice it up and it never disappoints. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this location for great food and customer service!

Mimosa Flight

This spot was very quiet for a Saturday afternoon during brunch time. Not a complaint because me and my party of 4 walked in and were immediately seated, orders taken and drinks served. Out of everything we ordered, it was great. My son had shrimp and grits, daughter had French toast and the best friend had a steak cooked medium. Every plate was cleaned. I also had a mimosa flight and it was great! I will be coming back to this gem.

We were in for quick brunch. It was empty and we were sat immediately. Service was excellent. Our server was engaging and witty. Food came quickly and was hot. It was just as we ordered. We had a Mimosa, Belini, and latte and we finished them!

First time happy hour !

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

This was my first experience with Credence and the atmosphere was new, modern and a little noisy. The lunch gnocchi was my first experience with gnocchi (in particular cornmeal gnocchi) so I have nothing with which to compare; I would probably not have it again but it wasn't bad. I have had plenty of beet salads and this didn't make the top ten. The grilled tuna salad my husband ordered rated a 0 on a scale of 1-5. The tuna may have been grilled as advertised, but there was no evidence of it, and there was absolutely no taste to it. I would have expected there to be some seasoning, but again, no evidence. The green beans were so crunchy they might as well have been fresh-picked and the sauce over the snow peas was so tasteless, Ranch dressing would have been a huge improvement. I could only eat one, and I really like snow peas. Until they get a better chef, I will not be returning.

The ambiance was beautiful too, and the speakeasy was such a fun bonus. The monkey bread was the perfect way to start ! Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. The baked potato was probably one of my favorite sides; it was super creamy with this crusted layer that basically melted in your mouth. The NY Strip steak was perfectly seasoned and definitely lived up to expectations. The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage. Overall though, Credence absolutely delivered. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of dishes I'd come back for.

A Wonderful Dining Experience at Resilience!…read more We had such a great experience at Resilience in the Energy Corridor. The food was excellent, the atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing, and the company was even better! The lamb was done to perfection--tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The salt-and-pepper soft-shell crab was fabulous, and the P1 Pho was full of flavor and very satisfying. Raymond is truly a gem--personable, welcoming, and a pleasure to interact with. Francisco was our waiter and did a really nice job taking care of us. Great service makes such a difference! Good food, good company, and a restaurant we'll definitely be coming back to! The only area that needs attention is the restrooms. In the men's restroom, one of the toilets had a continual flush and the water faucet was not working. In the women's restroom, there was a water issue with water on the floor. Hopefully, these maintenance issues can be addressed quickly. Overall, a wonderful meal and a great experience. I haven't been to this spot in years. I forgot how good this place was!…read more Music is always popping here. I came in on a Friday night, and they had a live DJ playing. The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem
