Got new doors for a 3 car garage (1 double, 1 single door) and two motors from Distribudoors. Yes, it was a big purchase. We almost didn't go with them until a coworker told me to give them a try. I got in-home consultations from both Costco and Home Depot first. Was set on Home Depot because they were cheaper of the two with a sale they had. Service from both places were great, so it only came down to price. Luckily, I gave Distribudoors a call just before committing to Home Depot. It turned out that their prices were lower for exactly the same door/brand as home depot. So of course I went with them. I was a bit skeptical at first because I have never heard of them, but everything turned out great. They were awesome from the beginning. A consultant came out to do an in-home review first. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Didn't try hard to upsell anything. In a few weeks, the doors arrived and they installed in about half a day. The technician was very nice and showed us how to operate the doors and set up the remotes. He also answered all my questions about door safety, best use, and just random garage door stuff. These guys are great. Don't buy a garage door without giving them a call first. The doors look amazing. Its been a few months and there's been no issues. They must have changed hands or something. The rating on here are good. My experience was BAD!! Something happened to my door. The 2 top layers crushed and broke. Called them and they did not care, said it was my fault. Would not even come out and look at it. The door was a piece of shit, when he was putting it in, said it was a good door. I had called DD to solve an issue w/my garage doors many months ago . The tech, John Vicenzi, came out promptly and was courteous and efficient and repaired the problem that day. The price was very reasonable and the service tech very knowledgeable and patient with my questions and in no time was able to resolve the issue. It took this business over 30 days to respond to my complaints and they neither apologized nor took any responsibility. This company claimed that they go above and beyond to make sure the customers are satisfied because they got some positive reviews from people. Well guess what? you did a terrible job with my garage doors, you took a barely used garage door opener and supposedly recycled it, your tech did not even lubricate the doors' mechanical parts, on top of that you claimed my wife told the tech to install the wall control on top of the other one, the gal you have answers the phone has no clue what she is doing, she is sarcastic and unprofessional. I called Home Depot and they made these guys to come and correct some of the issues. I am appalled to see the response from JD and I will make sure everyone I know knows how this company operates. There were 4 garage door openers in my garage that day and you picked the second newest garage door opener and left 2 over 10 years old openers The wall control was relocated, when I asked the tech why he changed the original location when he was working on correcting his original installation job, he stated that he did not want to split the light switch. I am not sure why JD decided to claim it was the person at home that wanted relocated. Ok JD now I have a question for you, why did not your tech ask my wife which one of the 4 garage door openers we wanted to keep then? Since you claimed he asked her about the wall control location. Let's not go there... James from the Home Depot takes no fault on your tech's decision to remove my property without my knowledge. He also stated that the Tech should have asked since the opener was almost new and the opener was not considered a junk. I read what I sign and I don't assume things the way this company operates. There is no instruction on removing a garage door opener. I suggest they stop defending their errors and take some responsibility. This one was my third time that a garage door company came to install a garage door opener/doors and I can clearly say it was the far worst installation job I have ever seen. I have already communicated my concerns to the Home Depot HQ and I suggest the DistribuDoors to improve their customers concerns. I had already stayed home from work for the day and wanted to get it done same day. I was able to get a same day appointment. I was going to refurbish my old wood garage doors, but after getting started, I decided to get some quotes for new doors to see if it was worth it. Distribudoors quote for 2 new garage doors was low enough that I decided to get new doors through them instead of refurbish mine. Their price was much better than the big box stores, so I was able to upgrade to insulated doors. I didn't realize it, but my beams were not straight, so the installer had to do some adjusting which I wouldn't have wanted to deal with myself. I also had them install one of my garage door openers so I would have an example for installing the other one myself, which worked out very well. I am extremely glad I had Distribudoors install my doors and highly recommend them. read more

This is my first Yelp review, despite having used Yelp for years. Frankly, I couldn't be bothered to add to the general noise with one more luke-warm review. It took an experience with DistribuDoors that was so out of the ordinary good in order to break me of my malaise. Several months ago I ordered three Color Blast Clopay doors through DistrbuDoors. Because of the custom color it takes a couple of months from order to receipt. The first set of doors came damaged in shipment, but they never got as far as DistribuDoors' warehouse. I got a call and they got sent back. JD asked Clopay to expedite the replacement order, and their answer was to ship white doors and have someone local paint - not what I paid for. When they arrived at DistribuDoors JD was as surprised as I was. Those went back as well. I finally received the doors earlier this month, about five months after the initial order. This could have been a horrible experience, but instead it was terrific. Seems counterintuitive, but JD made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way, and DistribuDoors stepped up and provided free delivery and upgraded hardware by way of apology (even though none of this was their fault). I was also expecting slide locks (my mistake), and I ran out of a particular fastener, all of which JD provided promptly at no cost. Everyone at DistrubuDoors, from the person who answers the phone to the crew that delivers and installs, provided excellent customer service. Clopay makes a good product, but it was DistribuDoors that made a satisfied customer. This could have gone entirely the other way, and, frankly, if it wasn't for JD I would have told Clopay to take a flying leap. I'm glad I didn't, as all worked out well, but it was all because of DistribuDoors. read more

We had Distribudoors install 2 garage doors on a house we are remodeling. They did a great job! We were looking for basic doors, nothing fancy, they just had to function properly and look good. We obtained 3 bids from 3 vendors: Costco, Home Depot & Distribudoors. Heather from distribudoors handled our estimate, she was prompt, professional, and explained all of our options without trying to up sell us to fancy doors. For our purposes she recommended two Clopay doors, the total including tax, low headroom track, and installation was $1127.00 for both doors. The home depot was over $1600.00 for the SAME Clopay doors & track, and Costco was over $2000.00 (different brand name, but same simple door style). For the record, WE removed and disposed of our existing doors which worked for us and Distribudoors was just fine with that. They accommodated our scheduling needs. On the day of installation, they were on time, and the installation went much faster than I anticipated. The installer was super nice too! We are happy with our choice, the doors look great and function exactly as we need them to. If we need garage doors in the future, we will certainly call Distribudoors. read more

I met John last year at the home show. We were just breaking ground on our addition which included a new garage. We knew what we wanted and were basically price shopping at the show. We liked John and ask him to come out and give us a quote. John came out and took a look and gave us a great price. We agreed to go ahead with Distribudoor. So, they ordered the door for us and had it at the shop. Well, our project took a little longer than expected and they held the door for us for 10 months while I got my project ready. I am happy to report that Rickie showed up today and installed the door. He was great. A really nice young man, who was polite and had a great attention to detail. The door looks great and works great. He took care to clean any grease marks from install before he left. All the wires were fastened properly and in a manner that shows his attention to detail. John should be happy to have some one with this attention to detail. All of this and the price was amazing. We shopped the same door at Home Depot and Distribudoor was about 40% less installed. I had a little difficulty getting service set up to replace my wood garage doors, but that aside this is a great company. They came replaced the doors with these faux wood look doors. Made out of aluminum, but look like wood. No maintenance, insulated, and with low-e windows. I must mention the garage door openers. So these bad boys are quiet, like eerily quiet. I love them, they are even programmed to shut themselves if we forget. its been almost a year I think, but this was by far the best investment I have made to the house in ages. read more

He offered helpful suggestions (drywall before installing doors) on the new garage. He was so helpful, we asked him to take a look at the older, attached garage doors, one of which had been hit at some point in the past. He again had great advice for us, and so I asked him to bid replacement of those doors, too. The people at DistribuDoors were very nice. However, we ordered our garage door (in a standard size) on September 21st and they can't install it until November. Fair warming--get started EARLY with these guys. After we ordered the door at Home Depot, 3 days later a person from DistriDoor came out to verify measurements and formalize the order. After repeated calls and a visit to Home Depot in person again, they told me 3-4 weeks (and that I'm lucky it's a standard size!) Now it's a waiting game. We will have to put plywood over our garage for more than a month. Nice people but way too long a wait. read more

Distribudoors saved the day after, by my own blunder, my old garage door came off the track, broke a cable, and bent up a couple hinges. It wound up stuck open at about a 30 degree angle that strangely, in my head, took the shape of large dollar signs. Distribudoors' service person is a garage door magician! He brought the door back to life before my eyes, replacing the bent hinges, installing two new heavy duty cables, and realigning everything so that by the time he was done the garage door looked better than it has in a long time. The final bill was more than fair and far less than I'd feared. Seems to me Distribudoors' M.O. is to earn repeat business from satisfied customers. Hopefully I won't need garage door work again soon, but when I do I'll be calling them again. read more

Got a replacement remote for an old unit and the remote broke soon after. They came out to replace it and tried to charge me and $89.00 service visit charge -- for a defective remote that they sold me! Immediately after the technician left, the door did not work. Called them and left a message. They did not call back and then when I contacted them, they said it would be $89.00 to come out again! But the door worked before they came to replace the remote. DO NOT use this company! It is like going to buy a car and then when you want to drive off of the lot they say, "Oh, you wanted wheels with that car? That will be another $$$" Disgusted! read more

What a great company, I will be using this company again and again for any garage door needs!!! Just so everybody knows, I've only written a handful of reviews in my life if that says anything about this company. So here is my experience and review; My garage door cable came off of the drum that guides the cable causing the door to malfunction. My plan was to call a couple of garage door companies to inquire about cost. Distribu Doors was the first company I called and the individual that answered was so helpful and informational that I scheduled an appointment without the need to call any other companies, my appointment was the next day. John V. was the individual that got my garage door back on track and he did an amazing job. He not only fixed my door but he educated me through the process. I received information on maintenance (which will keep my door lasting longer), on my opener and the door itself. I got so much valuable information!!! He also changed out a number of little things like bolts and such; he lubricated everything from the tracks, to the hinges, to the main spring; I purchased 10 new rollers that were an upgrade from my original ones (the rollers were on sale) and he did an inspection on my garage door opener and garage door, this was all under $200. And my door sounds better now than before it malfunctioned. In addition to the great service, he showed up early and he was here for about an hour. After multiple contacts, I gave up and hired another place. They tried to claim that they did not have my correct phone number even though they has already called me when the door was delivered.
