I purchased garage doors and openers through Home Depot and DistribuDoors was to install them. I was provided with an estimated install date of 12/17/2021. That date was provided by Home Depot, not DistribuDoors. On 12/19, I emailed John for an update. As of 3/10/2022 I have NEVER received an e-mail back from him. Is that "great customer service?" On 12/22 I called John for an update. He did not answer his phone, so I left a message. As of 3/10/2022 I have NEVER received a call back from him. Is that "great customer service?" On 12/22 I then called the main line and was told that the doors were expected to leave Ohio on 1/10. What kind of customer service would you like? CompanyA that proactively tracks orders and provides updates to customers? Or DistribuDoors that waits to REACT to your call? On 1/31, I emailed John for an update. As previously noted above regarding a prior e-mail, as of 3/10/2022 I have NEVER received an e-mail back from him. Is that "great customer service?" On 1/31, I called the main and line and this time they said they nothing and I needed to call Home Depot. Is that "great customer service?" 1) How is it that they could provide an update on 12/22 and now magically they can't? 2) When you call a vendor for an update, do you want to hear "I don't know" or "I'll find out and call you back"? I cannot say enough nice things about this company. After a DISASTROUS experience with another garage door company, DistribuDoors came to my rescue! I unfortunately hired a company that uses unlicensed contractors who did shoddy work. I called DistribuDoors based on a family recommendation. After hearing my sob story, they added me to the schedule the next day. DistribuDoor promised that they only use their own techs, told me the guy's name (Dusty!), and said he would be in a branded vehicle. They also gave me a two-hour window, and said he would call when he was on the way. They also told me the price in advance on the phone (no charge for the service call!). Dusty did call ahead, and showed up in that time window as promised. He was wearing a branded sweater and came in a branded truck, not a personal vehicle. Yay! He fixed the other company's work and put new springs on. He also lubricated the springs, wheels, and track. I also asked about added wifi capability - Dusty told me what the cost would be, checked out the motor unit, and told us we don't need a new keypad, just an adaptor. He was clear that they do not set that up themselves, but he told us how to do it. Overall, I found him very professional, nice, and pleasant to work with. We will absolutely call them next time there are any issues, and recommend them to everyone. read more

Yesterday, we discovered that a spring on the garage door had broken, resulting in our not being able to open the garage door at all. (Apparently, this was a cost-cutting measure by the homebuilder when the house was constructed). In any event, we once again contacted DistribuDoors for their help, and they were able to come out today. Not only is our garage door opener once again functioning, but he took the time to lubricate it so that it is far less noisy opening and closing. Knowing better than to wait for it to be inoperable I checked Yelp for recommendations and gave DistribuDoors a quick look. I requested an appointment on their site which just prompted them to call me, not as easy as I had hoped for, as if I was available for a call I would have just called them, but it worked. We got it scheduled for a few days later. The gentleman who came out pointed out the mechanics causing the problem and talked about how they were older. He presented options for repair or replacement to a better more updated version, we opted for the latter. There was some confusion as to what was done when I went to pay as my wife was on the roof dealing with Christmas lights, but it was all worked out when I got her down to review with the tech. Even after being shown proof that I asked your rep Heather a direct question regarding painting the doors and she answered incorrectly (not calling her dishonest, just mistaken) you still did not cover, or even share in the cost of the replacement door install. A cal to DistriuDoors was promptly handled with an appointment within days and the repairman, Todd, arrived ahead of the appointed time. After preliminary discussion, we were happy to have him set up and restore our door to "as new" condition. The house I purchased had the original garage doors and openers from the 80's. Needless to say, that was not acceptable. I'm one of selective few who believes in actually parking my car in the garage to keep it safe and protected from the elements; it's not a glorified storage area like with other people. As such I needed the garage to work but quietly and efficiently. I installed a 3/4 HP Chamberlain on one of the doors; it installed fine, but was struggling to lift and manage the door. I'd had Seattle Garage Doors out to replace the springs, which they did. But the door was still not smooth or as quiet as I would have liked. It was also rickety and squeaked like mad. When I called DistribuDoors, the gal who answered the phone (who BTW is the reason I knocked a star off) should be fired or reassigned. When I asked for someone to come out and assess the situation and make recommendations, she said "we don't do that". That's odd...really odd. According to her "if you buy a garage door, then we can send someone out". Hmmm. After ranting at her for a few seconds, she offered to have me speak to JD, who was a breath of fresh air. He clarified that yes, they can come assess the situation, but there is an $80 service visit charge, which is credited towards whatever you do end up paying for (if anything). That's fine - as long as I know about it. Dusty stopped by, polite and respectful as can be, and gave the door a once-over. Recommended new rollers (which I'd planned to do at some point), some adjustments, and new springs. He noted that Seattle Garage Doors used springs that weren't thick enough to hold a solid wood door (thus why the garage opener was struggling, as it was basically holding the full weight of the door both directions). He had everything swapped out, tightened the Chamberlain, and did lubrication all throughout. Door now opens and clothes smoothly and silently as expected. I was very pleased with the work. What's more, they charged half what Seattle Garage Doors charged for springs. I really was pleased with the appointment and Dusty is to be commended. I hate knocking off a star. But I want the company to know that the gal answering the phone is likely costing them business. She needs to either be retrained or reallocated. In summary (so people don't get misled by her): YES, DistribuDoors will come and assess the problem if your garage door just isn't working right and you know it. NO, it's not a free visit. There's a service charge. If you buy something, springs, rollers, doors, whatever....the service charge is credited against that. So if you pay $400 for parts, you're not paying $480, the $80 is included in the parts cost. NO, DistribuDoors will not push you into buying a new door if you don't need it. If yours is perfectly fine and just needs TLC they will offer that first. If you want a new door they'll sell you one, but it's not their lead-in. read more

Ron and Shane are amazing! I was on a bit of a time crunch and needed to get three garage panels replaced (before my parents came home from a trip). At first Ron said he couldn't get anyone out there until next week. However, he instantly called back and said we could get someone in two days, well before your parents come back. I was very relieved! He ordered the panels right away and got Shane to come in right away as well. They were here on time, replaced both springs (you cannot realistically just replace one). They were done very quickly. We handled the payment over the phone. I really don't know how a door company could do better. And they replaced our door springs fifteen years ago. The work comes with a 3 year warranty.
