Aaron returned my voicemail within minutes and I explained that my existing double door at a rental property had failed because of improper installation by another company. I was able to get an appointment scheduled for the following day at a time that worked for me. Joe arrived within the appointment window and communicated well about his arrival time on the day of. Joe was very pleasant and was kind enough to explore possible cost saving repair options. Ultimately though I needed an entire new door. I was surprised to learn that they offer a service to pre-paint the door. I found that to be an extremely valuable add on service. All I had to do was provide the paint color information. I put my deposit down the day of the quote, sent them the paint color information that evening, and the next day Aaron called to schedule the installation. They were ready to install before I was, it was that fast! I was pleased they offered weekend installation and so I selected a weekend day. The day of Installation Joe was my guy again. Once again he communicated his arrival time on advance and arrived on time. Being it is a rental property I asked Joe to let me know about 45 minutes before he was completed so I could meet him, inspect the work and pay my balance. I hired this company to fix the pressure issue on my garage door motor. The gentleman came out, and I was concerned he did not know what he was doing. He opened and closed the door so many times to adjust it that he burned out the motor. I asked him how much it would be, and he quoted me a price with everything around $500. He went to his shop to get a new motor, and when he came back, he would not let us into the garage to see what he was doing. When he finished, he handed me a bill for over $700.00. I asked why, and he said that is the cost. I tried several times to call and left voicemails, but no one answered and/or returned my calls. I lost my husband five months ago, and I feel like I was taken advantage of. The company should have paid for the motor since they were the ones who caused it to burn out. a few years back, I had a spring on my garage door fail after about 15 years. called these guys to come take a look, they replaced the spring, recommended some other minor upgrades, and it greatly improved the operation of the door. I called them a few years later to replace the garage door opener which had failed, and they installed an upgrade. a couple of gripes: - the wiring they installed from the opener to the power supply is dangling precariously from the ceiling and isn't properly secured. I attached a pic of it. but, it works. - the garage door sensor stops working in cold weather. I called them to tell them this, and they said it's unlikely, and insisted it must be something else. and yet every winter I get the same issue, and when it warms up the issue goes away. all in all the door usually functions well and if I have issues I can text or call and they are very responsive and return within a couple of hours. read more

Our garage door suddenly stopped opening yesterday evening. I gave Absolute Garage a call first thing this morning, and Aaron said he could have someone out to our place by noon. Well, not more than 10 minutes later, one of their techs, Ty, said he would stop by since he was already in the area. Awesome! Ty took a look at the situation and in addition to the opener not opening, I mentioned that I had to use quite a bit of force to manually get the door up just to get one of the vehicles in from yesterday. Furthermore, the door would not stay up - almost smashed my foot when it came down! My guess was that the spring was busted and he thought the same. We decided to go down the repair route with better quality parts (e.g. builder-grade is not generally the best quality) and he had the garage door back up and operational a couple hours after. What happens when a husband and wife can't agree on a garage? They thank their lucky stars to have met Aaron of Absolute Garage. Patient doesn't even begin to describe Aaron. He is also hard working and quite knowledgeable about the offerings of his trade. That's to his credit and much to our benefit. I digress... when I met Aaron, we'd just bought a house. My husband thought our existing garage was 'fine' and, of all the things we wanted to do, he didn't think fixing something that wasn't broken should be top of the list. I saw "broken" differently. Our garage is the first thing you see when you look at our house. When we'd bought the house, I had agreed on the condition that I could change the house from, "Oh, that's... ... nice." to "Oh! That's nice!" And there was no way an old dented gray-blue garage that was the same color as the house was going to give me those exclamation points. Being a man of his word, he promptly washed his hands and told me that if I did all the legwork and kept us in budget, I could have my new garage. Challenge accepted! So I kinda knew what I wanted. I had fallen in love with carriage doors. I had shown them to my husband. He liked them as much as I did, he just didn't think we needed to change the garage door right away. However, most carriage doors that we'd seen in inspiration pics were made of wood. We both agreed that real wood would 1.) probably need to be custom, 2.) expensive because custom = $$$, 3.) a lot more maintenance than we wanted to put in and 4) did we mention expensive. So next best: wood look. I called several people. It was strange how many of them seemed to want me to already know the exact brand and name of the product I wanted. This is what differentiated Aaron almost immediately. He took what I described and gave me what I was really after - suggestions from someone who knew far more about garages than me. Since I knew I would be getting my concerns addressed, I told Aaron what my husband's concerns were too so we could be sure to include things for him (I'm an awesome wife, aren't I?). Aaron worked tirelessly on this. When he came out to take measurements, he struck me as very friendly, professional and best yet, determined to get us what we wanted. After talking through our needs and wants, he researched options and came back to me quickly with an initial 3 options and then another two when my husband decided to "refine" his list of wants.. Being our indecisive selves, there was a lot of back and forth - personal visits, emails, calls and texts - to get us to a final decision. Through it all, Aaron remained steadfast. We finally settled on an Amarr steel carriage-look door with faux wood finish after looking through the suggestions he had given me. We also included a new quieter motor and external keypad for my husband who wanted better access. While the golden oak stain was a bit warmer than I'd wanted, it was close enough. It was several thousand less than I had expected to spend - very budget-friendly :) For the price, even with the extras, it was too good to pass up. Installation day came not too long after and had the best outcome - it was pretty uneventful! I'm pretty sure this was thanks to Aaron's precise measurements beforehand and the experienced installer (Tyler). I was home, but the only time I was called out to help was to input the code I wanted on our keypad! Tyler showed us the features of our new opener, how to change the code, sync other remotes, etc. He left the place as clean as it was before he got there.
