I had been considering second lobe ear piercings for a couple of months, but all of the places in my area (Inland Empire) were SUPER expensive, so I decided to wait until I had saved up more money. I was on vacation with my family and this place was just down the street from where we were staying, so I looked up the reviews on the place. Many customers were raving about the staff and cleanliness of the place, so I decided to give it a try. I walked in on a Wednesday at about 2:30 to be met by Sid. She told me that I was looking at $35 for second piercings, which was definitely ideal compared to the $100-$275 piercing options in my area. Sid took a few minutes cleaning up the station and making sure everything was sterilized before having me sit, which said a lot about how much she cares about cleanliness. The whole thing took about 5-10 minutes, and the whole time Sid was an absolute sweetheart. She told me everything she was doing at all times so there were no surprises, and overall made sure I was comfortable and felt good. I had so many questions and she answered every single one in detail and made me feel really confident about being able to take care of my piercings afterwards. This is in response to the owners comment about my encounter: Actually my entire point was that I asked over the phone if an appointment was needed and I was told on two separate calls ( once 5 hours before I showed up and the second time was 20 mins before I showed up) that I could just walk in! The gentleman that answered the call advised that you are always able to accommodate walk-ins but I may have to wait a few minutes if others are being serviced. This was a simple nose piercing so it wasn't that exciting, I completely understood what I was told twice over the phone. I am offended that you are even suggesting that I did not understand. So here it is in plain writing because I don't believe YOU understand. Me: Hi! I want to get my nose pierced, how much is it? Shop guy: Yes, it's 40 bucks. Me: Do i need an appointment? Shop guy: You can make an appointment but it's not necessary. We accept walk-ins, worst case you might have to wait a few minutes but typically we are always able to accommodate walk-ins. Me: Ok cool, I'll drive down. Hours later I call again: Me: Oh hey shop guy, I called earlier about getting my nose pierced, I'm on my way can I still get it done? What time do you close? Shop Guy: 9pm so long as you are here before 7 we can take care of you. Me: Cool beans, I am only 20 mins away so I'll see you then.... 20 minutes later, I walk into your shop. Me: Hi I'm here to get that nose piercing I called about twice...(All happy and shit) Everyone in the shop: Blank stare Piercing Woman: Fuck off! (well, that's not what she said but this is what I felt she meant, check previous review for details) Me: Walks away feeling not so awesome anymore, like I just saw a puppy and premature baby all hit by a bus of retiree's on my birthday that also happens to be the anniversary of my parents death's and Christmas all in the same day. I have been coming here for 2 years and I will not go elsewhere. Both of the artists, Shaun and Sid, are incredible at what they do. When you walk in you are greeted by one of the two apprentices. Both are nice and really know what they are talking about. They can help with some style, placement, and pricing. Sid makes you feel like a friend right away. She does most anything. Her line work is amazing and she makes the piercing process as sanitary and comfortable as possible. Honestly, she has on of the lightest hands I've ever been tattooed by. You can tell she takes a huge pride in her work and wants to make sure you're 100% satisfied with whatever you get on your body. Shaun's work is incredible. He can be a little intimidating at first, but once you get talking to him he is super friendly. He is very knowledgeable in his craft and isn't afraid to be honest about what will and won't work for your body. All in all I love this place and everything I have gotten done there. I just wanted to do this review on yelp because I had a great experience with distinctive Tattoo and body Art. My artist was Sid and she is such a nice individual and I love my tattoo. She's amazing. I first called them and Sean the owner answered and he told me that Sid was there and to come in to the shop and talk with her, so I did just that! I waited for about 15 minutes and she was taking a break from the tattoo she was doing right then! She was so nice I told her what I wanted to get and where and she said if you have a picture of something similar text me and then I'll have something on Friday evening drawn up and then we will have more time to do your tattoo. When I got there at my appointment time I was greeted by her and she had three drawings for my tattoo and I picked one out and I told her how I wanted it on my forearm and she size it down and put it on my arm and then she began to do my tattoo. She was very nice very gentle and very sturdy with her hand she does wonderful work and I highly recommend her and I highly recommend this shop it's clean, & very organized and they're willing to go the extra mile to do a tattoo that you want. I cannot say enough nice things about a shop that opens for you on their day off. I dropped the back of the labret for my 3 month old conch piercing down the drain. Just had the best experience at Distinctive Body Art Studio! Came in here after my nipple jewelry fell out with hopes of the hole still being open and some help to get it back in. It was half way closed, and I reluctantly decided to get it re done. Sid was so sweet and comforting, didn't rush me and knew exactly what she was doing!
