Quality/Quantity - So good to meet our friends. We only get to see them once or twice a year; everyone in this group travels the world often. So it creates a challenge to get together. And finally, the last person in this group will retire at the end of 2026 (well earned)! So if we are not all traveling, maybe we can actually get together more often...? Dare to dream. Okay, today we got the following. It was more than enough for all us light eaters. Actually, I was surprised how much we all actually ate, compliments to the chef. Beef Shawarma - Tender beef, good mix of beef and veggies. Good flavors. Chicken Shawarma - My plate, I finished most of it and had my daughter finish the rest. I got rice, falafel (my daughter ate 3.5 of the 4, lol), and fries as sides. I could have used more fries, but that was probably a good thing I did not. Mansaf - The lamb was so tender. My daughter took half of this to-go. Lamb Shawarma - Again, a very tender lamb Salmon - Was okay, the healthier choice. Tender, I would have preferred it less cooked. Salad - Another healthy choice. Lamb Kebab - A more hearty lamb. Actually this is my preference over a tender lamb. Tabsi Salmon - Again, I would have preferred the salmon less cooked. Was not dry, but would have preferred it to be more tender. Sides we all shared - Hummus, lentil soup, rice, falafel, fries, veggies, salad, carrot walnut (this was actually really good), freeken, etc. Dessert - Baklava assorted; my daughter took all of this to go... She did NOT share with the group, lol. Drinks - Mango Yogurt, Pine/App/Lem/Mint Juice, Franziskaner Hefe (can you believe I did NOT drink today :) ) , mint lemonade, fountain drinks, etc. Overall, the food was good. Ambiance - Huge location. Not busy at all. They closed the "private" room right after we got here. Nice decor, this used to be a Mexican restaurant. Plenty of seating. But we did have to move some tables around to accommodate our 9 person group. Full bar. See pictures. Plenty of mall parking - Be safe; see the sign of car break ins. Open 7 days a week - 11am to 9pm or 9:30pm. Clean bathrooms. Well, they are NOT signing the log; see pictures. Service - Counter service. Self service - Drinks, napkins, and sauces. We have to walk back up to counter for more utensils. Bus your own tables, etc. Price - $261 + tip; our generous friends paid!!! Thank you! Averaged $30 per person which was not bad for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success and with your 6 locations.
My daughter took me to this restaurant and I absolutely loved it. The meat was well-seasoned and the salad, the fries, and garlic hummus blended so well together. My plate was so spotless that my daughter could not help making fun of me. The restaurant also offered additional sauces if you wanted to enhance the flavor. I tried them all and everything blended together so perfectly. This restaurant concept is self-service--we prepaid for the food and picked it up when it was ready. Since it wasn't busy, the staff brought the food to us and took our dishes away rather than us having to drop the dirty dishes in the assigned area. The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the service is top-notch. I will be back to check out other dishes. Highly recommend!
I forget we have a gem of a restaurant with good Middle Eastern food right in Milpitas. It's easy to order - walk up to their counter, place your order, and find your own seat - and their wait staff will bring out your food to your table. With a lot of seating area and TVs throughout the dining area, there should always be a place for you to dine. It's a busy place but it doesn't feel busy if you know what I mean. They also have a full bar, which I haven't order from, but it's a nice option to have. The food is plentiful. For a almost $21 plate of Chicken Shawarma with 2 sides and rice, it's a deal. I always take home what I can't finish. Hope this place stays around since it's a good, family friendly place.
Was excited to try Dish N Dash after living in South Bay for so long but I thought it was just ok! I got the lamb shawarma over rice with tabbouleh and lentil soup. The lentil soup was super delish and probably my favorite item from here. The meat portion seemed a bit small and they gave a lot of rice. I think it definitely could have benefitted from some kind of sauce because it was a bit dry and the flavors were falling flat. I liked the corn and edamame but I was really hoping for some more depth of flavor here. The chips along with the lentil soup were the highlights of the meal, which unfortunately isn't good enough reason to return for me.
Solid food at a casual, yet elevated place to catch up with friends! Order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to pick up. Falafel is not dry (my problem at other places)! Loved the sides - nice and creamy hummus + nice subtle roasted flavor on the babaganoush. My friend got fried pita chips and they looked so flavorful. Also loved all the sauces you can grab on the side!
TL;DR: Friendly fast service and delicious food - will totally be back! Skip the fries next time. Came for a quick meal because a friend had recommended it and was surprised just how filling and delicious the food was! Ordered the lamb shawarma with hummus and vegetables. Added fries on the side (obviously) but honestly a little disappointed that I did. They were rather soft and would pass on them next time. Everything else was so delicious and can't wait to be back! OMG!! The Babaghanouge has been the best I've had. The garlic dip was like a whipped creamy heaven bite. We ordered the veggie delight and the Chicken Shawarma with the edamame corn salsa and it was perfectly seasoned the salsa gave the plate a different taste (good taste) also the wings were so juicy, I should have ordered extra pita, I ended up using the falafel as pita.
I stopped by for a meal recently and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and flavor. If you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors that hit the spot without feeling overly heavy, this is a fantastic choice. We ordered the Veggie Shawarma Wrap and the Chicken Shawarma Grill, and both were hits. The veggie wrap was fresh and well-seasoned, but the star of the show was the grill plate. The chicken was tender, perfectly charred, and paired beautifully with the fluffy rice. What really elevates the experience here is the variety of dips available. We tried the Hummus, Muhammara and the Baba Ghanoush--all were incredibly flavorful. It's a self service place where you order your own food and pick it up. Service could be friendlier - the staff assumed you know their menu and didn't provide any inputs
This is such a nice location! You still order at the counter, but your food is brought to you. Dish n Dash is so good and the quality is always on point. I orders the falafel plate and it was hard to stop eating it. The cucumber martini was super refreshing and the cucumber lemonade was not too sweet. Can't wait to come back! Plenty of vegetarian options!
This is my go-to for Mediterranean food! Everything is delicious and fresh and always so consistent. My favorite is the chicken shawarma with rice or salad with sides of roasted red pepper walnut dip and garlic dip. Also enjoy their fresh apple celery beet juice too. The food comes out quickly and everything tastes so flavorful. Huge portions as well. This location has lots of seating and service is friendly and fast. Highly recommend! :)
This restaurant is one of those go-to places where you get good Mediterranean food that both grownups and kids enjoy equally. They are very quick in bringing in the order and that's a plus when you have hungry kids with you. Another thing I like about this place is that it's spacious and the seating is in such a way that even if it's crowded, you still don't feel it. Every seat feels tucked away to its own space and that works best when you have kids with random meltdowns and you don't want to worry about ruining the ambiance.
I was a little skeptical about trying Dish N Dash because I'm 8 months pregnant and very picky with my food, and I wasn't familiar with the menu. As I stood there trying to figure out what to order, Nora kindly came over and asked if I needed help. She took the time to ask what I liked and what I was craving. I told her I wanted a salad, and she personally walked me through her recommendations from beginning to end. Everything she suggested was a 10/10! Nora's patience, kindness, and exceptional customer service truly stood out to me. She made me feel so comfortable and took the stress out of ordering somewhere new. I will absolutely be returning, and I have the manager Nora to thank for that! Thank you for making my experience so wonderful!
Huge dining space and bar area. Order at the counter first then seat yourself. Love the self service condiment area. Grilled meats, kebabs, wraps, salads, etc. Pick 2 sides from a large sides menu. I got a kebab plate and chose hummus which came with pita and falafel which came with 5. Falafels were very tasty, crisp exterior and flavorful interior. Everything was all very tasty and large portions. The homemade pita was great as well.

This place has you order first then you find a seat. They give you a call block to let you know your order is ready. Tonight, they brought our food to our table. That was great service. The new location is bigger and it has a homey feel to the dining room. This time I order the Beef Kabob salad with 2 sides (hummus and rice). My food was delicious, filling and felt super healthy. I will definitely be back! Love their food because it's full of flavor. read more
My experience here at Dish N Dash was amazing. This restaurant is self seating and self cleaning, so everything was quick and efficient. When you order/pay at the register, they give you a pager so that when your food is ready, they bring it to you. It was very clean in the restaurant and there are plenty of sauces to choose from for your food. Chicken/Beef Shawarma: I love these plates here. You can choose two sides for each of these plates and realistically, you can probably share one plate amongst two people. The flavor of the meats was perfect and the falafels were not too dry. Pita bread is soft and fluffy, while the vegetables were cooked to perfection. I'll definitely be coming back for one of these plates. Cold Hummus Appetizer: Amazing. Portion is great and the flavor was just out of this world. I would say if you get the plates, you can just add this as a side instead of getting a whole appetizer. read more
When in a mood for some good Middle Eastern / Mediterranean DISH, theN must DASH to this location asap! Waiting in line to order then pick up your food may take longer during peak hours or busy days. Not a Sit-In restaurant, but rather for Take-Outs or order first then find any available seating for Dine-In (fast foods style). Clean restaurant with warm-cozy interior setting! Big serving portion, big out-of-pocket cost, but worth the experience! I do wish my Chicken Kebab was not grilled so badly burnt! Each dish ordered was displayed beautifully, but the badly burnt part can be a bit intimidating to enjoy for health reasons. read more

I got the chicken shawarma over rice with hummus and babaganoush. The sides were amazing. I wish it came with more pita bread but the plate tasted great. I feel like it is a solid spot for Mediterranean cuisine. The service was very quick and they even have an allergen menu which was helpful since I'm allergic to nuts. The restaurant was very spacious and had lots of seating/parking on a weekday night. They were showing the nba playoffs so it was nice to watch and dine. read more

I went to eat in the restaurant for once with my sister on Friday night. There were tables open but it was pretty crowded! You order at the front desk and are given a buzzer. Water and sodas are self service. Sauces are in front of the order desk. Today I got a lamb and beef Kabob on hummus, with falafel and red pepper paste as sides. I've also gotten this exact combo from this location via doordash. I appreciate them have low carb options available. This location has a tendency towards sour hummus, like it's sour all the time and very sour 30% of the time. Sometimes it's soo sour and will ruin the meal, and sometimes it's fine, thankfully this time it was fine, but maybe that's because there was less of it on the plate. Sides at dnd have definitely gotten smaller too, and I believe they're even smaller on in store plates than on to go. I also love zatar and pita, but it's not worth it for the price and quantity you get here. Before they became counter service, the dishdash here served it as an app with unlimited pita and it was soo good. I miss the sit down, you have to go to Sunnyvale for that now. My favorite things to get here are the lamb and beef kabobs, or the sumac chicken, or the mansaf. We do order on doordash often and we like to recommend it when people are looking for food. read more

Needed a quick bite before a concert and found this gem! Holy moly! I was blown away! The food was amazing! Larger portions! Did I mention full bar? The staff were super friendly and helpful! Dish N Dash has been my go-to for Middle Eastern cuisine for years. Their food is consistently delicious, high quality, and fresh. My favorite entrées are the Beriani Dajaj and Mansaf. If you like aged yogurt, you'll love these. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. Their falafels are an absolute must-try, and if you like lamb, their kibbeh is perfect too. I love a hot and honey combo, so I absolutely loved the Sambusak with the spiced honey. It was perfection with the spinach and cheese filling. I've brought so many of my friends here and they've all loved it. I keep returning and I'll continue to do so! read more

I've lived near this restaurant my whole life and I regret not trying it sooner! The lamb shawarma and the chicken shawarma were so flavorful and delicious. The hummus and garlic dip were pretty good too. You can skip the fries. Service was fast and there was plenty of tables and booths, in a seat-yourself style. read more

Wow. Honestly this place exceeded our expectations as just a quick bite to grab something to eat before our journey back home. We enjoyed their various food offerings which we took to go, so we unfortunately didn't take advantage of their spacious venue which was busy on arrival. Each bite of our entrees bursted with different flavor combinations from the salad to the actual main dish. Freshness was obviously apparent in each dish. We will definitely be making a trip back in the future. Parking is a hit or miss due to its small size but if you drive farther away within the lot you should find a spot within the plaza. Highly recommend a visit. read more

This....THIS....is Mediterranean food. Sacramento's Mediterranean food puts French fries in a pita wrap, so as someone who misses Greek/Mediterranean food, this was a welcome change. My wife, who dislikes lamb, loved it here (so that's saying something). A QSR....you order, pay, and they come find you. I ordered the lamb kabob, garlic sauce, and hummus. The lamb was cooked perfectly, the hummus perfect, and the garlic sauce was amazing, but be warned. People will not want to kiss you....it was STRONG. Delicious, but pungent. Everyone loved what they ordered, as this is my brother in law's favorite restaurant. It is a small chain, and I wish they would branch out to Sacrown. One of my favorite restaurants! Hands down the best chicken beriani dajaj! That is my go to dish every time I'm here. The aged yogurt sauce is to die for! It's so good! The chicken breast pieces, potatoes, raisins, and garbanzos complete this perfectly. Not on the menu but they can make a falafel version of their chicken beriani dajaj for vegetarians. This modification isn't available for online orders and needs to be ordered/requested in person. For kebabs, the steak and chicken are both delicious, flavorful, and charred nicely. It's been a few years already but for those who haven't been here in a while the restaurant relocated to the old On the Border restaurant location across the street. There are plenty of dining tables and parking too. You order and pay first at the front of the restaurant. When the pager buzzes you pick up your food to the left of the cash registers. My family ordered some party trays of food for a baby party. Salad: Mixed greens, lemon oregano vinaigrette (3.5/5). The dressing is delicious. Hummus: Organic garbanzo, tahini, extra virgin olive oil, pita (4/5). Smooth, thick, and creamy. It goes well with the pita. Ground Lamb & Beef Kebab: Served with grilled veggies (4/5). Seasoned and cooked well. I really enjoyed the grilled onions and bell peppers, too. Chicken Kebab: Served with grilled veggies (4/5). Chunks of breast meat that was juicy and tender. Again, the grilled veggies were good. Chicken Shawarma Wrap: Chicken pieces, toasty lavash, greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, pickles, parsley. Love this place and really enjoy the food. I normally get food to go but actually ordered food and sat down to eat. It's a fast casual food spot. You order your food and they give you a pager. They will drop off your food at your table. I ordered the chicken wings, the medium salad with chicken shawarma, hummus, falafels and babaganoush. All delicious and recommended. My second time going to Dish N Dash but first time to the one in Milpitas. The store is huge with a spacious front yard and plenty of parking. Walking inside you'll see a large dining area. It was a little interesting that you still have to wait in line to order and pick up the food yourselves in such a big restaurant. Regarding the food, we ordered Mansaf, which is a bowel of lamb and rice with aged yogurt. The lamb is super tender. The yogurt base is tangy and creamy and comes well with the lamb. We also ordered falafel salad, which comes with falafel, salads, pita breads, and two side choices (I chose hummus and grilled veggies). Falafel is okay, but the grilled veggies were my favorite because of their smoky taste. The portion of the salad is very generous too. They have a lot more items such as kebab and appetizers on their menu. I'd love to give it a try next time! read more
Service here is fantastic. They are friendly, helpful, and relatively quick. I enjoy the different sauce options and love that it's grab as you please. I hate waiting in line to get extra sauce. Cute inside, lots of seating, a nice bar area BUT I wasn't able to take pics You walk in and order, get all the sauces yourself, refill drink station, find yourself a seat, wait for the buzzer to go off, pick up your food than Enjoy. Located in a big plaza, there's lots of parking but, depending when you do go, it gets pretty packed, but it's worth it, everything we got has there own nice unique tons of flavor in the dishes. Pricing is not too bad & what you pay for is definitely worth it. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes they offer, you won't be disappointed. read more

I found this little gem on a trip to Walmart of all places, lol. This space is huge, nice, and modern, with a full bar. DND is good for large groups and small, intimate lunches. There is plenty of parking. You order at the counter and are given a buzzer when it's ready. I don't usually like these types of places as much as I like service, but DND made it inviting, easy, and efficient with counter service. The food was impressive. It's fresh, full of flavor, and has a really nice portion size. They have a great little sauce station. I recommend the creamy garlic sauce. We ate..... 1. Lamb Shawarma Wrap with Hummus and Tabbouleh 2. Beef Kebob over rice with salad and fries. The beef kabob was super tender. The lamb wrap had so much flavor. It was stuffed nicely. It went well with the hummus and heap of olive oil they gave you with it. Spot on delicious. I washed it down with a strawberry beer. I don't generally drink beer like this. However, on a hot summer day, I could drink a few. It was like a beer-flavored slushie. It was refreshing. read more

Dish N Dash was an incredible find for us in the area of Milpitas. Walking into the restaurant, we weren't sure what to expect. By the looks of everything on yelp, it seemed like a sit down restaurant, however they have a fast casual style of ordering the food at the front. We were given numbers and a fob, and then we chose to sit wherever we want. The food was coming out fast, and the presentation of the food was great. My favorite dish was the Beef Shwarma Salad. A medium would be about $20 and comes with your choice of 2 sides. There are plenty of sides to choose from from extra veggies to fries and humus. The beef shwarma wrap was decent, but the best part of the dish was the humus side. It was packed with a lot of flavor for you to dip your wrap into or use the pita bread given. The fries were passable. I wouldn't get them again. We ordered the cauliflower wings. The texture is crunchy and soft on the inside. It was cooked to perfection. You do however have to drown it in the sauces on the side since the wing itself isn't very seasoned and can be a bit bland. Overall, I feel like this restaurant is a great spot for any kind of outing. Happy hour with the bar seating, date night with the romantic ambiance or just a spot to meet with your friends to catch up at. read more

Sleeper pick right here Located in one of the millions of food plazas in Milpitas. Ordering is quick and easy and the place is self seating. Service was quick quick and were attentive to customer needs. Now the food. Oof the FOOD. The portions were way bigger than I anticipated. It was super tasty and the protein was not overly seasoned. It's a very nice restaurant inside, with many different booths and table sizes. You order at the counter and then you pick up your order. I really liked the humus and grilled vegetables. The rice was very flavorful. The kebab meat was juicy. It was pretty good for a fast casual restaurant. I will definitely look forward to coming again and trying more items on the menu. read more
Here is a review for their private party/ event. Communication was clear and easy. They are flexible on menu and added requests. We have requested 50 people party but the space was crowded and cramped. We told them we come at 11:30am but food was not ready until 11:45am after I talked to the manager. Food comes slow and before everyone got their food some items ran out and around 15 people saw many dishes ran out on their first round. They do refill but not every wants to get up again. I do appreciate food made just in time but I wish refill time is shorter. Food quality is good. I need to make request for spoons and knives but they provided help fast. This place is great if there is no alcohol. If we have lunch with alcohol, all the table were super tight and bar chairs are very high I will have concerns some people drink a bit too much to sit on those tall chairs. Overall if you don't have small kids that party location is good. read more
