Big Dog has been taking care of my Dish Network system for 13 years. Every time I have a problem…read morethey are prompt on helping find a solution. I had an issue with billing and they called with me to help me get set up on autopay! They have been a great company to work with!

I visited Big Dog's website and found a page at https://bigdogsatellite.com/tv-promotions/ which…read moreadvertises an America's Top 120 package for $64. If you visit the URL and scroll towards the bottom you will see it. I sent a message thru their webform and got a call back and a message left. I returned that call and spoke with someone who insisted there is no $64 package and that I would be paying $90 for it instead. I even gave the person the page URL and he instead that they (presumable those at the Cedar Rapids office) were not responsible for what was on their corporate webpage. I posted on Big Dog's Facebook page which they promptly deleted (so I reposted and will continue to do so) and sent email through their link title Corporate on their page. A few minutes later I got a call from Zach to resolve this issue...which didn't get resolved. It just got Zach repeating that Dish Network is responsible for the pricing, no matter what the BD website says. He decided he was going to keep overtalking me and raising his voice, not a smart customer service type thing to do. I hung up on him and now I know why we left Dish Network many years ago.

Didn't have cause to contact them until the internet speed was slow...like 4 download and 6 upload...yes, that is correct, the upload was faster than download. In the country, I have few options. Was tired of dealing with it and I could tell their customer service model had changed. Have since gone with Starlink. I cancelled with Centurylink using their app about a week before the end of the billing period and it showed me a prorated amount. I was waiting for the online amount to adjust. It didn't. Called customer service and was surprised to get someone domestically. She said my cancellation order didn't go through but that she could see I tried to cancel using the app...didn't have an explanation on why it didn't go through. Told me the prorated amount. I asked about paying the final bill and was told I'd receive a paper bill in the mail. Waiting for that paper bill, I received a "courtesy" email with an amount due that was more than the prorated amount. Using Chat, I chatted with non-domestic customer service reps and discovered they charged me a late fee. Long story short, and after chatting with a supervisor, they will not remove the late fee. Why would I have paid the full amount when I was told it would be prorated and a paper bill was forthcoming? Not my fault (now my problem) their billing system would not update the amount due to reflect the prorated amount and they would have had to refund the overpayment...and probably good luck there...more time and effort on my part. I paid the bill, minus the $18.00 late fee and filed my complaints. Not sure what happened to them, but steer clear!

There is zero chance anyone is choosing mediacom over competition. The ONLY reason people "choose "…read moremediacom is because of no actual choice. Also Don't be fooled by Mediacom "Total Care". This is a department that seems very trained in "legalese" and are depending on customer ignorance to push service problems back on the customer. The only reason the "Total Care" email is spammed all over social media, reddit, Google/Yelp reviews, etc is to give the illusion they are fixing the customer issues. They simply aren't. tl;dr - In my opinion (and others), this department is a waste of time. My advice is to avoid Mediacom if you can. Sometimes you get lucky and their service works great but as someone who spends a lot of time on the internet, their service is very subpar for the price.

Only to find out that my Apple Mail would not work! My email provider, Spectrum, could not verify my credentials, so I could not add my account to Apple Mail. After 2 years of arguing and using Webmail, with both companies blaming each other and Apple, I couldn't take it anymore! I switched back to Mediacom, so now I'm tearing out what little hair I have left!! The service was installed in mid-May, and the cable is still not buried!!! I have called, texted, emailed, chatted, and even went into their Iowa City office! All I get is apologies and excuses! And the worst thing is, their Customer Service phone lines and chat ring in the Philippines! Nice people, but they do not have a clue!! At least Imon had USA-based Customer Service!

My experience with Centurylink was just awful. I don't remember the last time I actually took time…read moreto post a review, but this time its necessary. I am providing the highest level of BUYER BEWARE!!! The ONLY reason we went with Centurylink was at the time we started service it was the only internet option. available in our area. From day 1 it was bad. They shipped us the equipment, and then it took them 4+ weeks to finally get a tech here to install it. From the very first month we had intermittent service issues with the internet freezing and then just going out all together. EVERYTIME WE TRIED TO CALL IN WE GOT PLACED INTO A RIDUCLOUS HOLD AND TRANSFER PATTERN WITH "CUSTOMER SERVICE"!!! I did not keep track of how many times we had to try and call in, but I do know I was only able to talk to a live person twice, and that was out of no less than at least a dozen attempts in 3 years. We finally got another internet service in our area, and we couldn't switch fast enough. I called to cancel Centurlylink AND STILL COULDN'T GET A LIVE PERSON TO TALK TO!!! We were finally successful in discontinuing and then CENTURYLINK ACTUALLY SENT ME A BILL AFTER WE QUIT!!! Of course when I called to dispute that issue that finally got someones attention, and the live person actually said "well, we have no notes in our systen of your disatisfaction so the bill stands, and you owe it". Unbelievable!!! It's not the amount of the bill, its the principle behind it! To my thinking, YOU JUST DON'T GET TO GIVE A CUSTOMER TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THEN STICK THEM IN THE END!! This review of FACTS is not the only posting that will happen. I believe there are resources of proper authority that may take interest in this report and they will be pursued. TO ANYONE CONSIDERING ACQUIRING "SERVICE" THROUGH CENTURYLINK, IT IS THIS VERY DISATISFIED CUSTOMERS OPINION THAT YOU WILL BE DOING YOURSELF WELL TO SEEK ANY OTHER OPTIONS!! Our experience was just as has been reported here. It was awful. The internet service in itself was very mediocre, but the "customer service" was atrocious!!
