A week ago, Jay was absolutely amazing showing us a half dozen pairs of sunglasses in the display case, in which we bought 2. Super personable and helpful. Last night, Amari spent time showing us the men's watches in the display case. Super awesome experience. We ended up buying 3 watches. Both gentlemen were extremely helpful, kind, patient and just really genuine people. It's not often in today's retail world to have such a great interaction with staff, but having 2 above and beyond, 5 star service from 2 was truly awesome and they deserve the shoutout and recognition.

A very helpful and kind hearted employee behind the other counter, who had the same kind of phone let me use her locator app to ping my phone. Upon pinging I discovered that it had been with the employees at the first counter after all. I am happy and relieved to say I have my phone back. Although, I will say, I don't know if I would have gotten it back if not for Janelle's generosity to let me use hers! Find more good people like Janelle to represent you Ross

The staff helped but it really was only because I sought her out and had to drag her back to the isle to do so after she "helped" from afar by pointing the first time. I received an email this morning from Amazon having a 1-Day sale of the exact shoe I've been eying that has been available at Dick's. I took the email (on my phone), and went to the store and asked the cashier right away if they would honor the discount Amazon was giving. She said that she didn't think they did so I asked if she would be so kind to double check with the manager (I'd like to help out a store in my area if I can). Mystery manager (who never came out from his hiding place), just radioed back to the cashier that they wouldn't honor the price. That's too bad. When I came home, I called another store and asked them if this was true and was told that it is company policy that they do not honor Amazon discounts but will honor other stores with barcode-scannable coupons. That's a shame. The store itself was clean and I was surprised they had as many people as they did in there at 10am on a Sunday but I'm not judging. I'll give them one more shot before I either make the trip out to the Algonquin store where I've had a bit better luck, or just buy it somewhere else altogether. I wanted to give the store a 2-star but since it's company policy to not honor Amazon prices, I marked it a 3-star.

We've lived here for 34 years. In all that time we've never up-dated our kitchen other than to…read morereplace appliances. In the meantime, the quarry tile floor developed many cracks. I'd resisted replacing it because of the disruption to our lives. Then the refrigerator started failing. A new one wasn't going to fit. So a cabinet had to be removed. That's when we bit the bullet and found a designer, Glen Lusby, through the "Designer-on-Call" at the Design Center at The Merchandise Mart. He and his associate Patrick helped us decide we could update our kitchen by replacing the flooring and countertops and adding a backsplash. Ultimately we also chose a new sink and surrounded our new refrigerator in a bit of cabinetry and repainted the walls and ceiling. Glen helped us wade through the myriad materials, finishes, colors, and suppliers. Then he suggested some general contractors for us to meet. We met with three. The ABL Group wasn't the least expensive, but they made us the most confident they could complete the work as quickly as possible. He and Patrick were involved throughout the planning and construction. The project was completed in three weeks (except for a couple very minor touch-ups) and on budget (except for some add-ons which we approved). God forbid we have to do any further construction, but if we do we'd unhesitatingly call on Glen Lusby to help us with it.
