Last year, I bought some new running shoes from a discount store and after a few runs, I pulled a…read morecalf muscle. After I healed, I started to run again and after a few more runs, I pulled the other calf muscle. I started to do research to determine if it is the shoe that is causing the issues. After my research, it certainly can be the shoe. So I decided to go to Road Runner Sports to see what they would recommend. I didn't mention that I did some research on my own but I did let them know I had calf issues. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the staff and they asked me if they can be of any assistance. I let them know that I was interested in getting new running shoes. They let me know about the process where they would film the way my feet hit the ground to see impact. My walk is filmed while I take a stroll on a treadmill. After, it is reviewed by them and they show me how my feet hit the ground. I then was custom fitted with shoe inserts - optional to buy. Then we looked at some shoe recommendations. I selected a couple pairs to try on. I selected a pair and decided to keep the inserts. The good news is that the inserts were FSA Eligible. I was offered a Road Runner Membership for $19.99 for the first year and $49.99 after the first year. The membership pretty much paid for itself and I would get 10% off purchases all year for me and my family. I've had a few walks and a couple runs and these shoes are really comfy. By the way, the shoe recommendation aligned with my online research.

In August 2025 my wife and I purchased a suit case from Sierra after looking for one for months…read more Our vacation was after thanksgiving so we didn't use it for 4 months. When we used it in November for the first time everything was fine until we tried to use the handle, after all the clothes filled up the suit case, the handle wouldn't not pull out. We went the entire trip pushing around the suit case without the ability to use the handle. I waited until January and decided to take the suit case back to the store after only using it once. I just wasn't right. The store could do nothing and recommended calling customer service. I called customer service and they asked for the date of purchase, my tjmax credit card number, my name, address, phone number and E-mail address. They said that they would research it and get back to me. 5 days later they got back to me and said since it was past the return policy date they could do nothing. Really! Why didn't they tell me that up front when I provided all that information. What a waste of time! Never did the customer rep. or store say anything regarding the return policy until they decision was made. Now I'm stuck with a suit case with a handle that doesn't work. They just lost a customer and they don't care. I have other choices like Amazon, Costco, Sam's Club or Kohls. Not Sierra!
