First time in a Sierra store. I didn't realize they were also part of the homegoods/tj maxx/ Marshall's group. This location has a large selection for activewear clothes. Women's clothes had a larger selection than men's. They also carry some food items. Check them out for some good deals on brand name items. read more

In August 2025 my wife and I purchased a suit case from Sierra after looking for one for months. Our vacation was after thanksgiving so we didn't use it for 4 months. When we used it in November for the first time everything was fine until we tried to use the handle, after all the clothes filled up the suit case, the handle wouldn't not pull out. We went the entire trip pushing around the suit case without the ability to use the handle. I waited until January and decided to take the suit case back to the store after only using it once. I just wasn't right. The store could do nothing and recommended calling customer service. I called customer service and they asked for the date of purchase, my tjmax credit card number, my name, address, phone number and E-mail address. They said that they would research it and get back to me. 5 days later they got back to me and said since it was past the return policy date they could do nothing. Really! Why didn't they tell me that up front when I provided all that information. What a waste of time! Never did the customer rep. or store say anything regarding the return policy until they decision was made. Now I'm stuck with a suit case with a handle that doesn't work. They just lost a customer and they don't care. I have other choices like Amazon, Costco, Sam's Club or Kohls. Not Sierra! read more

I ordered online for delivery to the store on November 18th and now, 20 days later my order is now where in sight and no one at the store or at customer service can tell me where my order is, when it might arrive or if the order even exists. This place is also a department store. And I came here yesterday. I bought a bag and a jacket. I went first to the jacket section. They have lots of jackets so it's hard to choose since for me some of them were really good. But in the end I chose a plain jacket. The fabric was thick and it was good for the cold weather. It is a little bit expensive compared to other jackets in the section. Then I bought a bag. It's a sling bag that is good to use when I go shopping. It's a plain white that has a shade of gray with some flowers. It was pretty and unique. Some of their products were expensive and some of them were worth the price. This is a review of the website, cause you can't seem to review the website directly. It took them 5 days to just create a shipping label. It didn't actually ship until 2 days after that. It was supposed to be here 3 days ago, yet it's been delayed twice with no explanation. This is ridiculous. It'll likely be over 2 weeks b4 I get anything. If I had known that at the time, I would never have ordered. I have purchased quite a few products from them in the past, largely because they are considerably cheaper. But yeah that's done. Although I love the selection of Calebas and REI, sometimes I like to go to a smaller store with a more focused set of goods. This is where Sierra excels in providing a good selection of products in a smaller space. I enjoy being able to find good bargains on active and recreational products, sometimes from brands that are less popular but just as good. It may be a little disorganized at times, but this is part of the adventure of shopping at this store. Overall, the store is attractive looking, checkout is fairly fast, parking is plentiful, and the staff is fairly helpful. read more

TJ Maxx/Marshalls meets LL Bean/Outdoor store. Which makes I suppose when one realizes it is owned by TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Homegoods. Clean, cheery space with plenty of room to navigate. lots of backpacks and outdoorsy shoes. Not really mine cup of tea, but prices seemed quite reasonable and quality looked rather good. Had never heard of the place, but was intrigued when I passed by headed in to a shop next door. Popped in for a peek. read more

I've passed by this store so many times and finally had the time to go inside! We get the catalogs at my firehouse and there is always something cool in the catalog that I wanted to see in person. At first glance, the store is pretty big and seemed to have more clothes than accessories. After walking through the store, there was a great selection of not only brand name clothing, but great quality shoes and boots, pet supplies, camping, fishing, and hiking gear. The prices were definitely better than I expected and there was so much I wanted! read more

Sierra's Kildeer location manager, Karen, is one of the rudest employees I've encountered at any retail business. I recently had a terrible experience with an item that was put on hold and then misplaced. Karen lacked all customer service skills and was so rude to me. Fortunately an employee named Olivia helped me and found the item in the back.  I love Sierra trading poat but this manager left a sour taste in my mouth! I did call customer services and a very nice man named Patrick was great and took down all info and was going to pass this on. I'm hoping corporate takes this seriously because Karen is a terrible representation of Sierra Trading Post! read more

I'm a lady who's frustrated with clothes with no pockets... welcome Sierra Trading Post where the focus is on function. Brands like ExOfficio, Under Armour, Toad, North Face, Patagonia all discounted and they make special travel shirts with pockets that can fit a phone and wallet!! In the past, this was one of the places where I ordered online to pick up inexpensive travel and backpacking gear so I was excited to see an actual store near my work. It's just as great and with them being owned by TJ Maxx you get good prices and rotating selection. They have everything from dehydrated food packs, sleeping bags, backpacks, clothes, hiking shoes and random gadgets that can be really pricey if you go to a specialty store like REI. Recently, I saw some e-bikes and a table with rolley cart perfect for a summer outing. read more

I am not a shopper. Rather, I am like any male who strategically shops. When I need something, I find the store, grab what I need, pay for it and leave. We are getting to be regulars at the MOD Pizza in Kildeer and this is in the same plaza. Sierra Trading Post is a company we have bought a few things online from, but I certainly did not know they had stores. What a variety of stuff at great prices. I'm small, a hard size to fit, and was able to get a couple of pairs of shorts and a new Hawaiian shirt. They have men's and women's clothing, pet toys and beds, shoes, camping, fishing, and other outdoor equipment. They have furniture and lighting for your backyard. Who could ask for more? What really got me, as said above, was their pricing. They have good brands - and at deep discounts. This will become my targeted clothes shopping locations for at least the short term. read more

Been to a couple of these store and this one has been the worst one I've been to, there was no staff on the floor, the manager (Amelia) seemed to care less about their customers satisfaction, she was also really pushy about opening a credit card. They had good clothes selection but horrible customer service. read more

I recently came to this store and had a bad experience with the manager Amelia, she was extremely rude and didn't help me with my issue. Do not come here bad management, the women's restrooms had poop splattered in the seat, floor and walls and they didn't even close them to clean them or to not let customers use them since it's unsanitary. I absolutely love this store I stopped in for workout clothes and not only found gorgeous clothes but fantastic prices I ended up buying dog toys that were literally less than half the price at the pet store , shoes, socks and 8 outfits and spent less then $150. Sierra is amazing read more

Brought clearance shoes to the front to buy and the manager, said they weren't on sale and proceeded to rip the the clearance tags off and tell me to pay the initial price. Huge disappointment and I don't recommend the workers or to buy at this place at all. read more
