Had a great experience here this morning. On my way to work this morning I had a blow out. Had tow driver take me directly to Discount since I've had such good experience with them in the past. Crew took great care of me and sent me on my way to work. They went the extra mile by getting tires for me that were out of stock and making sure my car was safe to drive. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went there to get my air check, was parked there to get it checked for 10 minutes when all the employees were crowded around one car and just talking. They saw me looking at them, no one approached me. Went inside to ask for help A LOT Of employees made eye contact but didn't assist me. I knew I needed 2 tires bc they were slick. Johnny looked at my tires and showed me the other 2 that had wire coming out‍. He told me the price of the tires and they were in line with what other places charge, so all in all, I bought 4 tires. Johnny was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. Got a flat on Christmas Day and had to put the spare on. Dropped the tire with them for a FREE plug/patch and went to work. Got a text no more than 45 minutes later that the tire was done. Picked up the tire the next day and they balanced and mounted at no charge. Service was quick and efficient. Only complaint was that I got a different sales rep when I went back and I clearly stated that I didn't need or want new tires but he insisted on remeasuring the tread depth and checking the mileage on the car and re inputting my info into their systems instead of just taking my work receipt from the previous day and looking everything up to expedite my service. Had an excellent experience here today. I had bought a set of 4 tires two years ago in California, but wasn't told all of the things I can receive complimentary, like rotations, patches, etc. Had a nail in my tire, but the random shop that informed me about it (not Discount Tire) didn't tell me verbally or try to fix it. I found out on the paperwork later. I had it patched elsewhere 2 months ago, and the other shop (not a Discount Tire) did a horrible job and I kept losing air. I went to Discount Tire on Louetta today to inquire about a used tire as a replacement and left with a new tire the same brand, and at a very discounted cost because of my prior 4 tire purchase two years ago. Finally, for the FIRST TIME in the almost 2 years I have lived in this area did I receive honest and competent help from anyone regarding my vehicle. They actually listened to me, looked at the tire professionally, and informed me of all the services they provide that is complimentary. I have finally found a place that I trust with the longevity of my vehicle. Not once did they try to upsell me, or suggest that I needed more tires, as the other 3 I had were still fantastic. I like the Yokohama brand because they really last forever. I left with the same brand, I am happy and confident about the service I was provided today. Your employee, Doug R Johnson, at the 4918 Louetta, Spring, TX 77379 (TXH 55) apparently makes it a common practice of searching a customer's vehicle to locate a wheel lock! This is unacceptable for a customer to make an appointment for service, give keys to a representative to "get more information" only to look out a window and see him going from the driver side to the passenger side and spend a considerable amount of time ransacking my glove box and God knows what else in my car! I watched for a few minutes and tried think of any reason he would be searching my car and finally walked out to ask him what he was searching my car for and at that time he said wheel locks. Had he asked me, I would have and did tell him that they were in my compartment with my spare tire! I told him that it is very invasive and should not be a practice to search a customer's vehicle without notification or consent. I also asked him if he had removed anything from my glovebox as I had seen him place some papers in his back pocket. He acted offended that I would ask but neglected to realize exactly how offensive it is to search someone's car without consent or notice! I'm a long time Discount Tire customer and have NEVER experienced such a behavior! I'm livid! Not only do you feel it's okay to invade my privacy but you don't recognize why this would be upsetting to me? Not a good look. Will be following up to insure that he is properly trained or re-trained on customer service and this practice! read more

Went in for balance and rotation. Waited an hour because no one bothered to tell me my car was ready until I went to check on the status.

Horrible place. Took my suv here for tire rotation & balance, as soon as I left, my Tire "hazard" light came on. Took suv back to same Discount Tire & they found a screw in my tire. (The screw came from their parking lot). Made appt to bring vehicle back next day to have tire repaired. When they brought my car up it had White Paint on the side of it & all over the back tire! The manager proceeded to get in a yelling match with me in front of the store- in front of other customers, my daughter & employees. He insisted that I brought vehicle in like that! I proceeded to video the painters on the scaffolding who were painting above the bays where they drive the cars in/ out. He told an employee to get the white paint off my vehicle & tire. I took pics & videos of this too. It was almost comical when the employee (who was actually nice & apologetic) brought out black paint & tried to paint my tire black to cover up the white paint! Stay as far away from this Discount Tire as possible! Unprofessional management, screws & debris covering the parking lot - well, they are trying to sell tires... read more

We operate a business and have over 20 vehicles. Discount tires is the to go location. They always start high, but you can ask for less expensive tires. My complaint is there "free tire repair". It's just a joke and have never been able to get them to repair any nail in a tire. They always try to sell you a new tire My wife's 4runner, with less than 35k miles had a screw inside the tire a night we went out. I had installed the spare and asked her to go to discount tire to have it fixed. To no surprise she called me from the store and said that the salesman said the tire is too damaged and they cannot repair the tire I asked her to come to the office and I will take care of the problem. When she arrived we found out they had kept the tire and just set the ring back in the car. We went to the store retrieved the tire. Went around the corner to a small tire shop. Paid $20 to repair the tire, install and balance. Not a happy loyal customer. read more

This location is great! About 5:00 pm I noticed I had nail in my tire. I called this location and told them that I would be headed to their location and I hoped to make it before they closed at 6:00 pm. Th employee on the phone assured me that as long as I walked in the door before 6, they would get me taken care of. While sitting in the lobby, I was freezing cold, and one of the employees noticed that I was cold, so he turned the fans off and let the window shades up to accommodate me. They got my car right in and had me out within my quoted time. Most of all I didn't pay anything because I previously purchased the replacement certificate!!! read more

I have had terrible experiences with this location. Multiple terrible experiences. The most recent was them telling me they removed a nail and patched a tire, but my tire was flat the next morning. Took it to a different location. Nail was still there. They said there were absolutely no patches done on the tire. Will never return to this location again. read more

Refreshing service. Great experience. Employees working hard and smiling. As a prior customer with new vehicle tires, they rotated mine for free! Met me in the parking lot with a smile and got me in and out after making a phone appt. so I wouldn't have to wait the whole time in their shop. Couldn't have been more smooth - best rotation experience ever! I'll be back when I need tires. Only bummer is that you can't turn into their driveway heading east on Louetta. I returned with another vehicle for rotation after getting "in line" with phone appointment. Had to wait a good 1/2 hr or so after my time window (back to reality). Went in this afternoon to repair a tire that was covered under their warranty. Jason was courteous and professional. They had my new tire on my car in less than 45 mins and it was all at no cost being covered under the warranty. In a time when customer service is at the bottom of most businesses list of priorities it really stands out when you get excellent customer service. read more

Went in to have somebody look at my tire, since some small chunks were coming off the tread. I told Christian I didn't mind waiting for somebody who knew about tires to come out and look at the tire to determine if it was a concern or relatively normal. After some time without getting somebody knowledgeable, he told me to just "use my best judgement". Why would I want a tie shop where the people don't have any expertise to let me know whether something is normal or abnormal, and put it on the customer instead? If I go to a mechanic, I expect them to give me a recommendation. If I go to a doctor, florist, or hardware store I would expect somebody has some expertise in the relevant area instead of telling me to use my best judgement. Might as well go to Walmart if I have to rely on my own judgement. read more

I've mostly had great experiences here. Friendly staff, they really do the free rotations and balancing, BUT, you should be prepared to wait. I have the sense coming in for the free part of your service is not as rapidly attended to as when you are making a big purchase. Don't love that. I came in to have my tires balanced right when they opened this morning and it was not crowded. My van sat in the parking lot for 40 minutes before it made it in the garage. Otherwise their prices are competitive and I love the convenience of being able to take your car to any Discount Tire for service. read more

So my dad taught me to always pay attention to my surroundings - story is I'm getting new tires today and after I dropped several hundred $$ on 4 new tires I noticed a sign that read "$70 mail in rebate when you buy 4 Cooper HTP tires". I tell the sales associate and they tell me the sign is old and it's only $50 and its really for the "select" off road tires. I say I don't care the sign says what it says. Anyways I got my $50 rebate and he honored the extra $20 for me in cash. Then proceeded to immediately take down the sign - lol. Overall I'm happy they manned up and did the right thing. Would have gotten 4 stars had they not given me the $20 w/o me even asking for it. read more

If tires you selected and made an appointment for are not available, they are quick to discuss upgrades at no extra cost to you. Quick service and a quality install with updates from the tire technician and the service representative to let you know when its about time for you to roll out. Not the best location - prefer going to their 1960 location. I set the appointment 3 days n advance and arrived at my appointment on time. (They dent have the tires I needed in stock but said he would give me a better tire for less $$ whatever- Maybe because he knew he wasn't going to honor my appointment ) I said great and was pleased with my $1042 purchase - bc he said he's giving me a deal.. I waited an hour - only to have Doug (customer service guy) come out to tell me that my tool kit to remove the tire was missing.. I said "no.. It's there .. We just need to lift things up and look.." He said "I already did that .. It's not there.. " so I walked out there and saw the spare tire etc all out on the drive way.. I looked with him and said ok - I'll figure it out.. I took my car home 15 mins home .. Never turned the car off hopped out and removed 3 pieces - a plastic cover, a tray, removed the spare - and upon closer inspection - there was a little trap door with all the equipment - I left the spare tire etc on my driveway and drove immediately back over - now it's 9:30 - I walked back in -,literally 25-30 mins later and Doug could care less that I found the stuff - Some other guy helped me and said "I'll get you back in line" .. I am sitting here still waiting .. No one is in here - Doug was alone - glancing out the window - twiddling his thumbs .. Young boy who hopped up to greet me - is drinking a red bull and going in and out of a door (assuming it's the office) and finally I say to Doug.. "Uh.. I found that tool kit" .. (In case it ever crossed his mind as to why I got back so quick). He really could care less.. He says "oh .. Really.. " .. Never bothering to ask where it's located (in case another customer with a Audi Q5 comes in ) again - he could care less.. I told him where it was - he sounded "defensive" that he couldn't find it.. And I finally said "um a little annoyed that I had an 8 am appointment and it took you until 9 to figure it out". Dig again is defensive.. But he walked out and talked t the guys outside.. .. Now I sit here fuming .. Car a just sitting there and every bay is filled. Once I spoke up - car was brought in, young boy apologized (wasn't his fault) another nice man just walked in and said they are just finishing up! (Wish I had his name bc he didn't have to do that either (over and beyond the call of duty) Problem is really with Doug.. Moral of the story - know where your wheel locks are before getting new tires here, pray you don't get Doug.. And don't expect to have an "appointment" .. Especially in a Monday! SCAM! Free is not really free. I had a screw in my tire and was going to plug it myself. I took a picture of the hole and marked it with a white marker. I heard about discount tire and free patching so i thought ...why not... and took it into Discount Tire. About 30 minutes after I arrived I was called back to view my tire as there was a problem. On looking at my tire I Saw two holes drilled where the one screw hole had been. The service tech explained that there was another leak close to where the screw was and that both were too close to each other and that he could not repair both bease " The patch would not hold" . I said that I did not see the other leak and he said it was a nail and i overlooked it because i did not work with tires all the time. So I had to get a new tire. After I bought the tire I remembered the picture I had taken, to my suprise there was no nail in he tire. I then thought if the holes were so close and they knew they could not patch it, why did they drill both? Stay away, free is not free..... read more

A friend asked me about some problems that he was having with his sons car. I offered to change the breaks and take his car down to have the wheels rotated. Since he purchased the tires from discount tires, I knew that they had excellent road hazard warranty service. I went to discount tire where I buy my tires on an annually basis in Spring. The sales representative locked at the wheels and one had a little bit of excessive wear on the inside of the front drivers side tire the tread was still in acceptable range (in the green on their gage) they rotated rotated the tires and advised me to have an alignment to insure even wear in the future. I went to the auto repair shop to have the wheels aligned and they recommend that I have the wheels balanced to make sure that the rim was not bent. I went back the same sales representative that helped me earlier at Discount Tires argued wil me at length and refused to balance my tires because he felt that it was not need in order to have a wheel alignment. If the wheel is actually bent, it is physically impossible to properly align the wheels. If you find a shop that is willing to alignment a vehicle without replacing a bent wheel, PLEASE post their name so the rest of us can avoid them. You should replace tires in pairs, but as long as the remaining wheels are in decent shape, you only need to replace the bent one. I have been doing buisness with this location since it opened many years ago due to the outstanding customer service and convenience of being only 3 minutes away. I'm torn!!! So now I've got to go somewhere else to check the tires on this vehicle..... REALLY? Even though there was no charge at the time of this event ... I thaught that's why I pay extra for the Road Hazard Warranty. read more
