Did a quick visual inspection and saw a screw in rear passenger side tire. Other tire guy from another company stated tire only needed air. Replaced tire sensors and gave old ones to me. Bought brand new set of 4 tires in November 2017 from dealership because they price matched. July 2018 and i am informed my 50,000 mile tires are bare minimum in the front and they recommend I replace them all. Go to the dealership and they confirm the tires are going bad after 20,000 miles. To make matters worst, the dealership wants me to partially pay to get the tires replaced despite the warranty. I should have just bought the tires from the tire specialist!

The tire he had for me actually was the same brand as my other ones, and since my vehicle is forward drive and this tire was rear it worked out perfectly. Obviously it's new and used tires and you get what you pay for, but honestly if you are in a jam and need that tire then Mateos is your spot. I've been dealing with my TPMS light being on for a full year and no joke, this is the first shop…read morethat actually fixed it. I had already taken it somewhere else and they put in an OEM replacement sensor that I bought online myself for them to install, and the light STILL stayed on. It was really frustrating. So I came to Rayford Tire Shop originally because I had a nail in one of my back tires that was way too big to patch. I figured I'd need both rear tires done. The owner looks at it and goes "nah man you really only need the one." Like who actually does that instead of just taking your money? I was about to just get the one done but then he shows me the other tire is cupping really bad. I checked it out myself and yeah he was right, it was pretty obvious once I looked. So I'm like alright let's do both then. He brings out two used tires that are in really good shape, almost new, and they're actually a better brand than what I originally had on there. Then we get to the TPMS issue. The owner figures out in maybe 10 minutes that the sensor my computer was saying was bad wasn't even the actual broken one, AND it was mismatched in the system somehow. He had the right sensor, installed it, then spent close to an hour on the phone with a technician going through the TPMS relearn to get it reset properly. No one else could figure this out but he stuck with it until it worked. Now my light's actually off. He also told me I need a rear alignment but they don't do alignments there. Instead of just leaving it at that he told me exactly where to go and made sure to specify just the rear wheels, not all four, so I'm not wasting money on what I don't need. Prices were solid. Just honest work from an honest shop. I'll be back for sure.

Told the Manager my situation about two "security" lugs stuck on front tires. He examined the wheels and the security key. Without emotion or words he motioned his employee for a breaker-bar and impact wrench. Within 30 seconds they pried, rotated, and spun the lugs out! Those two bolts kept me from changing brakes for two weeks. Other shops attempted but clearly put forth that 50% effort before placing blame on the security key or lug nut. They'd also give me that old line "You have to go to VW. They have a special tool called thingamabob which takes it right off." I now know that when a mechanical issue is above my pay grade G.M.C. tires has the practical knowledge to get the job done.
