Bought my tires there and scheduled for an appointment today for tire rotation at 12:00. Arrived 10 minutes earlier and by 1:00 PM, service hasn't even started at all. I asked the lady beside me, and she has been waiting for her car to be serviced for over an hour. Both of us have been hearing from staff and they have been accommodating walk ins. But we made a schedule! Left by 1:00PM and told the staff I am a nurse and can't be late for work. Disgusting and waste of my time. Buying my winter tires somewhere else that honors scheduled appointments and respects time of customers. read more

I came in for a flat tire, and while they did fix it, the overall experience was very disappointing. I was charged far more than expected, and the tires I received were poor quality. On top of that, I was told I would be sent a receipt, but I never received it. I've tried calling multiple times to follow up, but haven't gotten a response. read more

These guys do good work. If they say they are going to get it done, they will get it done. My daughter ran over a screw. They patched it no charge. We bought tires on their website & did a walk in for the install. Got there just after 8 & the line was to the door. We left my wife's truck because they said they would get to it today. Dude's stayed late & got it done on the night before thanksgiving. The prices are fair & they always take care of me. Car, truck, trailer they have me covered. They are always busy so give the guys at the counter a break. read more

I went here for a second opinion since the Morries Subaru stated that they couldn't patch a nail hole in my tire and that I would need to purchase 4 new tires. Discount tire patched it for free and didn't entertain purchasing new tires until they were sure that they couldn't fix it. They didn't try to sell me on anything. One thing is for sure, this is the only place Ill be getting tires from moving forward. read more

Brought my car in a couple of months ago for new tires and they were able to get one tire on and couldn't get my other rim off of my car ended up chipping paint off my rim and ruined one of my lug nuts in the process of trying to take it off and then told me that they didn't tighten it to tight and they were that last ones to touch my tires since I got them replaced before and told me to fix my lug nut they they screwed up myself and told me I'd get a discount on the tire and they made me pay full price I would never go here read more

I've had 4 sets of tires or more installed here through the years and they do a great job but this time of year can be very busy and I needed 4 new expensive tires for my Tahoe, walked in a number of times this fall but couldn't get in as they were too busy unless I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day. I ended up making an appointment online one month out. I arrived half hour early for my appointment time and the vehicle wasn't in the work bay until 45 minutes after my appointment started, when they were done 30 minutes later I now have a tire sensor light on my dash lit up, all sensors have been replaced in the last few years so it was something they did, they were so busy I didn't have time to wait in line again immediately to address this issue and I just let it go at this point, they also could've popped in the screw on one of my mudflaps that was sticking straight out from the heavy snow that day but they didn't, yes they've been busy but I'm disappointed, the tires are great, Goodyear Workhorse HT is a nice tire for the Tahoe ::: Update Gerry from customer care has reached out to resolve my tire sensor failure after tire installation but the tire sensor has resolved itself, 2 days later as it has started working normally, thank you Gerry for reaching out to me in a extremely timely manner! 5 Stars!!! read more

So easy to order tires, make an appointment and then arrive and have work done promptly. Very friendly, knowledgeable and nice. If you don't know much about tires, you can research online or stop in to get help. Highly recommend! Close to Target so you can shop while you wait. read more

I have bought 2 sets of tires from Discount Tire this year and many more over the last 20+ years. Very disappointed that they're not taking COVID seriously! read more

Location: Just off Hwy 7 and 101, perfect for the west siders. It also happens to be next to a Target and Planet Fitness, which makes waiting for your car a much easier experience. Service: I have not visited prior to Covid Times, so I do not know what it was like prior, but the employees were very kind and accommodating. I had a leak in one tire, and instead of just trying to repair, I opted to get a new set (was at the end of its life any way). They were able to suggest a good tire for me, based on my needs, and budget, and got it ordered the same day for next day installation. They even filled the air in my tires, just to get me through the day (it was a slow leak). Speaking of air in tires, they have a separate air station and you can just pull up without an appointment and they will check pressure and fill as needed, for free. Check-in for the appointment was quick and easy. You call them when you arrive, and they meet you at your vehicle for the necessary information. Payment is taken in advance of service, so you do have to go inside for that bit. Hand off your keys, and walk over to Target for some shopping, or Planet Fitness for some exercise (hopefully gyms open again soon UGH). Knocked off one star from my review because it took longer than they said it would, even with an appointment. Thankfully they have nearby amenities, so it wasn't a painful wait in a boring waiting room. Just keep in mind, I would allow no less than 1.5 hours for the replacement of four tires. Or at least don't schedule another appointment after this one, so you don't have to worry about making it in time. Overall: No one wants to buy tires, but they do a great job here, and I will be sure to go back the next set I need (which will hopefully be many years). read more

Great service. I had a slow leak in one of my tires which I had NOT purchased there. They checked it out, discovered that there was some corrosion between the rim and tire, cleaned it off, then re-mounted it and pressure tested it to make sure the leak was fixed. No charge! read more

Discount Tire never fails to impress me. I'm sure that it's tough finding employees willing to work in MN weather, changing tires and dealing with customers who don't understand the need for tire rotation, etc. Most of us wait until a light comes on telling us to add air, or until we have a flat tire to even look at those four things between us and the road...so I'm thankful for the patience and hard work of the folks at this location. I went in needing not just 4 tires, but 4 wheels for my truck and, even on a busy Saturday, Jordan took the time to walk me through the myriad of options available. He made some suggestions on tire size (I was replacing non-OEM sized tires) and wheels as well. I came back a week later (once the tires and wheels had arrived) and they had me back on the road in under an hour. I've sent other people to this location in the past, knowing that they do their best to not only help their customers but educate them too. It's just nice to have a place where you still feel like your business is valued, I'm a Discount Tire customer for life! read more

Great customer service. I've been bringing cars here for 20 years, and truly appreciate their nationwide locations; great for sending kids off to college with one less worry. Took a car there yesterday with tires that only had 30,000 miles. No questions asked and they gave me a hefty discount on getting 4 new tires. read more

Discount Tire is hit or miss, seemingly depending on the location. I'm pleased to say that this is the most satisfactory experience I've had with this chain. Ben was very thorough and conscientious in his explanations, and work was done in a very timely manner. I recommend this place without qualification. read more

Customer service has taken a nosedive at this location. They are woefully understaffed for the volume of business they have. I dropped off over a month ago to get winter tires mounted. Despite my stopping in several times (they don't bother to answer their phone), they never placed an order for the tires. I ended up ordering them from an online vendor and got a tracking number the same day. read more

I have always been more than satisfied with prices, selections and service at Discount Tire. Today, my vehicle needed some extra attention (through my own fault) and the staff in Minnetonka took care of it without issue. It saved me from a potential headache down the road and I'm more than appreciative! Nicest staff and so helpful and considerate from start to finish. read more

Shocked at how great these guys are! Needed a tire repair on the road, and instead of trying to "upsell," they actually smiled, and graciously and professionally did the job I requested in less than two hours! On the best day, wrangling tires on and off dismount and balancing machines is no picnic, but the cool guys at this shop made a dreaded (and potentially expensive) "detour" on vacation, into one of the best days of our trip! If you need tires, or anything wheel/suspension related, it's hard to imagine finding a better crew than this around the lake. Go there. And tell John (the manager) the "saab guy" sent you. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Phillip, Sr. Assistant Manager was knowledgable, helpful ,and went above and beyond to help me get tires on two different vehicles today. He spent personal time on an issue for me, and was a lifesaver, in getting both my husband and I's cars back on the road. Above and beyond the personal service I received from Phillip, I was given the tires I requested at a price that beat all other competitors in the area by a long ways. I highly recommend getting Tires at this location and IF this is being read by corporate - Phillip B. Taylor should be given a substantial raise and promoted to position of authority worthy of his leadership skills and level of personalized service he offers customers! read more

If you call them the message says they are experiencing high volume due to weather and they have added more staff to help with better service. However, you will sit on hold for 20 mins with this message repeating and they never answer the phone. You are also told for faster service to come into the store. Once you circle the parking lot repeatedly, to find the smallest spots ever allowed in a parking lot, you enter the store to three service providers and a line almost out the front door. All of this is just to pick-up the tires you provided to simply be mounted on the rims you provided. Every experience requires a minimum of 20mins in line. Or...book an appointment online that has been out 2-3 weeks since early Oct. But you can still enjoy the parking, waiting in line, incessant phone ringing while waiting in line experience. read more

I had the opportunity to test Discount Tire's slogan: If ever you're not satisfied. Please feel free to bring it back." I didn't like the performance of the tires I purchased so I did bring them back. Not only are they true to their word, the service was fast and efficient. The people I dealt with were outstanding, Aaron and Ben. No hassles, no caveats, just good old fashioned customer service that is sorely lacking in many businesses today. It was a pleasure doing business with you and I will return when next I need tires. Thank you. read more

The service here is great. They have great prices and are very friendly. They also do a great job and get the job in a efficient manner. I did not have to wait very long for them to replace a tire. I am very happy for the professionalism and the speed of service. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs to get new tires. read more

I have never been this frustrated with customer service. When I called to schedule an appointment, I noted that I only wanted to buy two tires. When I showed up for the appointment they were incredibly patronizing, and they put four new tires onto my car without asking me. I explained that I only wanted two tires, but they insisted that I buy four. As a recent college graduate with a lot of debt (who also worked at a CAR DEALERSHIP for SEVERAL YEARS, so I know what I am talking about when I get work done on my car), I was absolutely infuriated. I've never rated anyone on Yelp before, but I had to explain how horrible my experience was so that no one else goes through the same thing. read more

As unpleasant of an experience as it was to get a flat tire, I came in on a Saturday afternoon and received great, honest advice about how to proceed. I ended up having to get two new tires which was not (read: NOT) my favorite news of the day, but with a 90,000 mile warranty and free tire rotation, I can confidently say this is where I'll come back to with anything related to my tires. They brought my tire back out, explained the issue, and walked me through which tires would work best for my car and lifestyle, and luckily, there was a decent supply already in stock. I had to be at work an hour after arriving, and ended up being in and out in less than 30 minutes, which included the consultation and new tire installation. Very pleased and thankful for the great customer service where I wasn't pressured into anything or cheated. As unfortunate as it was to have to unexpectedly buy two new tires, I am glad that I came to this location. Also, they are located right next to Target (with a Starbucks) if you need to walk over and run a quick errand while you wait. Great to see that they have other locations throughout the U.S. read more

Got my tires here after much searching & research. Best deal & service. I really like this place because they are straight forward, and do what's needed without telling you that you need better items or unnecessary repairs. When I got my tires installed I was so sick, I think I stuffed a tissue up my nose, but they were still nice to me anyway ha! I've been there several times since I bought my tires for tire rotations that are free since I bought the tires here-awesome! I never have to tell them, "hey now, don't charge me, I bought my tires here." They know the deal. No hassle. Once they even replaced all my little tire air cap thingies because they said someone stole all of mine. Who does that? And how nice of them. Once I just went there in the Winter because on a super cold day, my tire pressure warning light went on. It was so cold trying to use those stupid gas station air refill machines, I think they were frozen up and my tire gauge was angry, giving me goofy readings. I could hardly feel my fingers. No problem, they said just pull up anytime and we'll fill the tires & get the pressures right. Nice! Just went again for a rotation & because the tire pressure light went on again. They checked out the low pressure tire, even by dunking it to make sure there was no puncture, and they let me know there was no puncture, it just needed air. How refreshing. One time, I had a car dealership make me wait 4 hours for a small part install, and then have them tell me I had a tire puncture and it would cost me boku bucks to plug.....then I went to a place that sells tires to dunk the tire & they said there was no puncture, so I really appreciate knowing the truth, and not getting ripped off. They are also very pleasant and I always get lovely service there. Last time I went for the rotation, they did it so fast, my head almost spun. :) Will definitely buy my next tires there too, whenever that is. read more

discount tire in minnetonka was the worst experience i've ever had! we've beencustomer's for a long time on all our vehicles. i had to leave my truck on a sat. get a ride. after driving truck home, my brand new tire was flat!i had to have someone come fill my tire, follow me so i could get home. dropped it off on sunday (they're closed sun.) i was without a vehicle all day sat& sun. was told i'd be 1st priority mon. & i'd have a new tire. (i put glitter polish on bad tire to make sure i got a new one.) got ride again to get truck, thet didn't have my tire in stock?! they put spare on & promised me a new tire when it was avail. finally,in the blizzard tues. i went to get new tire. they lied. they fixed the valvev stem on bad tire they gave me & told me it was the "new tire." i walked out, stormed right back in & told them they gave me the bad tire. they denied it until i showed them the glitter polish. the manager deflected my frustration & made mike help me. i stood in back where they put the tires on to make sure i got the"new tire"that was ordered! this was beyond a hassle, not to mention it my bill was almost $900.00! mike was great to deal with. i would not recommend anyone to them. the manager should've bent over backwards, but instead, he was just worried about getting other customer's money. i don't have time to screw around with this crap! i'm still pissed! i'm really disappointed-especially after all the vehicle's we've had them do over the year's.you think they'd take care of long term customers. :( the only reason i'd every step foot in there again, is because i'm stuck with they're warranty. extremely disgusted!!! i'd recommend going to them if you don't need your vehicle, can miss time off of work & inconvenience people for rides. read more

I have 4 cars in my family I have to manage and started going to the Minnetonka Discount Tire about 5 years ago. I have been there many times either for new tires, free balancing and rotation, and even to fix a flat. I don't know what other Discount Tire places are like, the one in Minnetonka is consistently a great experience. read more

Incredible! Put on two new tires (no rotation of other tires) in 15 minutes at our request (we were in a big rush, needed the car to get to an appointment elsewhere). We called ahead from another store that didn't have our tire size just minutes after they opened, found this store DID have the right size, drove over and were in and out at hyperspeed. I could write this review about any DT in the cities! I've been to 4 of them, and the service is consistently amazing. I'm continuously impressed with their customer service and attention to detail, and the prices are fair and competitive. I purchased 4 tires for my truck at this location. I was very happy with the service. I decided to send my 64 year-old mother there by herself. Very disappointing! She bought two tires for her car. When she came back to pick the car up the exhaust was damaged and the driver's side muffler was hanging and bent. A gentlemen there explained he may have "tweaked" her exhaust. Discount Tire Co. sent her to a shop to get the exhaust looked at. A gentlemen at this store said the exhaust was old and there was nothing they could do for her. The car is older, however, the exhaust was working properly when she went to Discount Tire Co. to purchase tires. The exhaust shop recommended by Discount Tire Co. gave her an $800 verbal quote for a complete dual exhaust system. I took the vehicle to to another well known local business. Spoke with a tech who has 30+ years experience. He explained the exhaust was most likely damaged from pulling the car onto the hoist too fast and damaging the exhaust. This local business will fix the damage for my mother for a total of $70. The cost of just the damaged muffler only on the driver's side of the vehicle. Not the entire exhaust system. Why only $70? "Because this is the kind of situation that gives companies in the auto industry a bad name." Very disappointing Discount Tire Co.! I will no longer do business with this company. Discount Tire Co. had an opportunity to admit fault and make it right. They chose to deny any wrongdoing and take advantage of a customer that doesn't have the first clue about automotive repairs. My mother was not demanding a brand new exhaust system, only asked Discount Tire Co. to repair the damaged part. Discount Tire Co. chose not to make it right. read more
